Brady Games has been working alongside Infinity Ward to create the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Signature Series strategy guide, which as you'd expect will feature tactical tips, total coverage of the single-player campaign, multiplayer strategies, hints on how to exploit your arsenal of weaponry and an exhaustive guide to unlocking the game's achievements.

Here's what you'll find in the 352-page Signature Series guide:

  • IN-DEPTH WALKTHROUGH provides complete coverage of every enemy encounter on every mission from start to finish.
  • COMPREHENSIVE ARSENAL shows players how to fully exploit EVERY WEAPON, ATTACHMENT, PERK, and more. DETAILED ANALYSIS reveals their strengths and weaknesses, and how to use them to maximum effect.
  • GRIPPING ARTWORK and RIVETING BACKGROUND CONTENT  makes this guide a MUST-HAVE COLLECTIBLE for any Call of Duty fan.
  • EXCLUSIVE, HIGHLY DETAILED MAPS illustrate the levels and pinpoint mission-critical items and locations.
  • ACHIEVEMENT and TROPHY ROSTERS describe how to earn rewards and unlock special features and items.

You'll be able to purchase the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Signature Series guide for an RRP of £12.99, or there's a hardcover limited edition version for an RRP of £19.99, which features bonus art and printing treatments, a free strategy video to download and an A-frame map stand displaying exclusively illustrated multiplayer maps. The BradyGames guide will be available at the same time Modern Warfare 3 launches, on November 8th, 2011.

  • Who needs guide books when we have a website like this : )
  • Run and shoot. End of the guide LOL
  • Does anyone really buy these books when you have the advantage of websites like this at your fingertips for free? Not to mention the awesome community of people who help each other regularly. Waste of money IMO.
  • Why would you spend $20 on guides? It like throwing your money out of the window.
  • i love guides but now its all about ipad guide apps for me.
  • LOL.
  • why buy when u can not buy lol
  • Just read last years guide. will essentialy be the same.
  • Anyone who buys a guide to get through a game that has linear levels needs to rethink their life. Pay me £2.99 (inc P&P) and I'll give you a piece of paper with: Level Guide - Walk from A to B and shoot stuff, see every other COD guides on how to do this. Weapon Guide - Look at the stats on your Multiplayer screen. There you go, £9.99 saved.
  • Youtube.
  • First couple of lines: Run and shoot. All the other pages are blank.
  • @4 So you have pretty pictures to look at when you taking a dump.
  • @9 The gun stats in the MP menu on CoD are actually completely wrong...
  • GRIPPING ARTWORK and RIVETING BACKGROUND CONTENT I lol'd.
  • Oh joy! I love Bradygames! They are better than PRIMA at making spelling mistakes, labeling maps incorrectly, neglecting to include important sections and creating "self-explanatory" Achievement Guides. I remember when they released the San Andreas one. It was that awesome, that they had to release it again when the Xbox version came out, but this time they corrected everything as best they could and added stuff they missed out. I admire them The only decent guides are made by Piggyback.
  • @13 - Looks like you have failed the copy and paste test, sorry -.-
  • Why buy this when you can rely on the gaming community to give you a guide of what you need I.e intel =D
  • I bought my first Strategy guide in 6 years the other day when Amazon had the Gears 3 limited one on sale. The only reason I bought it was because the cover art looked cool, and it looks nice on my shelf. I'm a sucker for cool covers.
  • I buy Strategy Guides as more of a collectible item, rather than a guide. I'll use the internet if I'm stuck, but when I find myself without access, I may have a quick look through my guide. They won't become obsolete as long as the internet can be turned off.
  • Ok so £45 for the game ,another £40 for elite,£12 for guide and also added content later on prob £20 to £30. Wow this is a bargain for such a great game NOOOOOOT, recycled piece of crap and money grabbing b****rds.
  • @21 that's a new one lol
  • @22 when you pay for cod elite a lot of your dlc is already paid for ...
  • @21 Explain just how he is a "beelend" please?
  • piggyback guides > all
  • @25 hahha awww sweetypie sticking up for his friend xMWAH! youre so cute!!!! Ot: Guides are for people that cant play games hehehe. xxx
  • Waste of money. We already have the internet to rely on as our guides.
  • @21 Beelend. EG 'a beelend, little beelend, beelend breath' - 'Callum x360a' and assorted secondary profiles. @25 Not only is it because the definition of beelend is him (see above), but he is actually a swollen purple head on the end of a penis. I hope this clarifies matters somewhat.
  • @#30 Actually, no it doesn't clarify anything, though I assume you meant to say "Bellend" *facepalm*
  • Im getting it as #20 said as a collectible item dot em all so far so why stop now.
  • #32 EDIT #got, we need a EDIT button
  • who buys strategy guides anymore? seriously!
  • @22 your a bloody idiot.
  • You get a mini guide free for pre-ordering the regular edition, along with 4 hours of double xp and an AVATAR OUTFIT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (lol) at GAME or Gamestation in the UK (where I've pre-ordered) Nothing special, but still. Gotta love the haters lol, obviously nothing better to do than to click on MW3 articles. I'm gonna be having a blast on November the 8th with the millions of other players.
  • @22 Wow, you're obviously a fanboy. None of the things you mentioned besides the game are essential. You're just hating because it's CoD.
  • 28 and 30 trolling much ?
  • @Buzzadio . Lets learn something today. the difference between your and youre, example one: You're a boring bastard. Example two Your mother gave birth to a boring bastard. beelend.
  • Pass. If I ever need a guide I just go to the forums section here, they always seem better anyway since its written by somebody whose actually gotten the achievements for themselves and its free so you can't beat the price
  • The last guide I bought was for Perfect Dark when it was brand new on Nintendo 64. Then I gained access to this thing called the Internet, and guides become obsolete. Between this website and a couple of others, there's really no need for a printed guide. I'm not hating at all, but this guide will not cover any DLC that comes along down the road, and isn't it more fun to figure things out for yourself than pay for someone else's analysis of the weapons and such? I just don't see the point.
  • I like the CE hardbound guides, but usually get them free when the extras are "destroyed". Definitely loving the $3 iPad guides (LA Noire and Dead Island were excellent apps). Who really cares about 4 hours of double xp? A couple of cases of Game Fuel and you will have unlimited double xp...prob not too healthy to drink it all, though!
  • @39 i can tell u were bullied at school.
  • @43 With that pathetic grammar, I can tell you didn;t go to school. Beelend.
  • @44/39 and your grammar is spot on ,fool. You can't even read/spell. check your 39 post . idiot.
  • Other than the Intel locations, which will start to be online within 24 hours or less I expect, and maybe some very strange tactics for Spec Ops, nothing in this guide is really needed is it? Surely almost any situation in COD games can be remedied by going prone and taking your time or the good ol' run like hell and hope. As for Maps for MP, that stuff is probably easier and better learned in the game itself.
  • @46 cock to chase? you do seem to have some sort of obsession with cocks dont you.Always on about bellends. im not 15 ,but even if i was it would be twice your mental age. and you spelt my name wrong even though its in big green letters. bye bye.
  • @48 You bore me now, chase this! *gets cock out* *Breaks coffee table at Buzzardios mums house* Oops...
  • Most of the games don't need guides yet so many ppl buy them, otherwise there wouldn't be one for every game out there LOL IMO it takes too much from exploring unless you're using it after having beaten the game once....
  • That's exactly what I need. A strategy guide that holds your hand from going to point a to point b in a game that forces you in said direction.....
  • @49/50 See i knew you couldn't read, and there you go on about cocks again.
  • @53 I think you need to read this http://www.englishforums.com/English/WhatAfterFullStop/dwkxw/post.htm As you are thick as fuck.
  • im writing on a forum not an exam.I never clam my english to be great , but if you want to insult me make sure your's is good. http://www.englishforums.com/English/WhatAfterFullStop/dwkxw/post.htm line 3 on your mess of a comment 39. should the have a fullstop. *facepalm* and you call me thick loling my head off.
  • my mistake comment 38 not 39
  • @53 why do you type everyhing like this Oh right its coz youre a massive retard. "Loling" - Jesus get me a fucking bucket. Do you know what they call retards in Spain? El Retard.
  • What's the point of an article about this?
  • Time to rage the fanboys.. Why would ANYONE buy this? I am for buying guides if I believe in it, Tomb Raider Revelations was of particular interest when I was 7. Also, I did have an Elder scrolls one so I could read whilst gaming as my PC was awful. But COD? Fuck I hate Activision and their desire to make more money than sense. Anyone who buys this over the age of 12 is a full on fool. A 352 page guide on one of the most linear game series I've ever played. And I've played Lego and Pixar games (when I was younger, admittedly). It will have no use.
  • @58 i should quite, or quit?
  • You both should shut the fuck up, Christ.
  • i'm getting this for free because i pre-ordered you get this guide 4 hours of double XP and an EXC Avatar item http://www.game.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HubArticleView?hubId=141776&articleId=141777&catalogId=10201&langId=44&storeId=10151&cm_sp=callofduty-_-topnav-_-Modernwarfare3 Oh yeah :)
  • Hmm, buy a £20 Guide that your probably only going to use once, or get the same thing online for free. difficult choice.
  • so many people talking shit , but this omes free when you pre-order at GAME.
  • I'm always get guide books for final fantasy games only, not others.
  • "You'll be able to purchase the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Signature Series guide for an RRP of £12.99" I believe you mean Modern Warfare 3 sir. Anyways, who really needs a guide for a game like this? Now SKYRIM I will be buying one for sure. Not only because it will come in handy but because at this point I want to get my hands on pretty much anything to do with the game.
  • how do companies survive by making crappy guides they charge extortionate amounts for them, they're often wrong in at least a few places, and while i admit, they have some kinda place with an RPG, no FPS will ever need one, only intel are ever remotely hard to find (like when some clown puts intel on a vehicel section, in some trees) i'll stick to my own way, use the internet, it's free :D also, by the time i get MW3, everything will have been found, so it will take no time to do a brief search and have any answer i need also, why would they even bother doing a guide for the MP, it's the same as all the others, then they'll release an update within 2 days, and all of their guide will become useless, or are they gonna do a rev. of the book for each patch ?
  • I recently dug out Oblivion and the strategy guide for it. Its is the only strategy guide that I have ever bought and I wouldn't want to play without it. Buying one for skyrim for sure. Besides, all of the multiplayer related selling points in this guide have already been offered through call of duty Elite which is included in the hardened edition. No reason to buy this guide
  • lol shut up #35. Cool story bro.
  • If any distress has been caused during the course of these comments, with the sole cause being "Words of the few", please feel free to drop by his profile, where you will find that he has been owned, multiple times. I'm sure you will all find it very refreshing, and if I receive an infraction (which I probably should), I'm sure I will be fine with that. Anyway, my favourite guide has to be the one for Kingdom Hearts 2. I don't know why but I adored that guide so much that it's still in pristine condition 5 or 6 years later. I also love my Limited Edition FF12 guide, even though I played FF12 for about 20 minutes and got bored...
  • @70 Well played good Sir, well played.
  • Strategy guides are pointless unless you are a playing an rpg.
  • @70 Aw cheers mate, since you have no life and decided to spam my profile with crap i didnt even bother to read. I decided to put your face on hot or not. IM sorry to say youre at a low 3 at the minute. But im sure with the help of your buddys here we can hit a mid 6? Keep up the rants brother. Very productive use of time.
  • Pretty surprised game guides are still coming out, I mean with walkthroughs on YouTube or websites like these, who is going to pay for a guide book? Unless they don't have good internet connection, or they've been living under a rock for the past 7 years...
  • @73 - Hey, a 3 is much better than I could ever expect. You have made my day! I'll be sure to tell my fiance later. We'll have a jolly good laugh at your expense. By the way, Sainsbury's do a fantastic "Meal for one" selection. May I suggest you try it out at your earliest convenience? I would normally take offense to a comment about me having no life. However, between moving in to my own home; working a busy week at my nice job; socialising with close friends and working to make my fiance the happiest woman in the world, I find it very difficult to have a life in between it all. It's not all bad though, if I can have a healthy argument with the dregs of society, I can go to sleep a very happy man.
  • Really have no clue as to why they would even make a guide for a MW game, let alone any FPS game. Yes for RPG's they can be quite useful...but I mean what can they really tell me about MW2.2 I don't already know? Hell I bet my K:D is higher than the guys who even wrote this book in all the CoD games. Also at these morons arguing...haven't you ever heard that winning an argument on the internet is like winning in the Special Olympics? Even if you win, you're still retarded.
  • @76 - I'd still be a retard with a shiny medal. That's a victory no matter how you look at it. :)
  • @70,you should get a medal not an infraction,he has zero posts, always posts negative, I think he needs to go back under his bridge.
  • How in the FUCK does a CoD game need a 300+ page guide? I can see MAYBE 100 pages for single player and 40-50 for both co-op and multiplayer combined...I bet the Skyrim strategy guide is around that, and it's a much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much deeper game than MW3 O_O!
  • am i the only one who noticed? "You'll be able to purchase the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Signature Series guide for an RRP of £12.99, or there's a hardcover limited edition version for an RRP of £19.99, which features bonus art and printing treatments, a free strategy video to download" Modern Warfare 2? took 'em long enough!!
  • the only guides i buy are for RPG's since theres so miuch in-game content and i dont feel like going to my computer whenever im stuck.
  • @3 rethink that one...Not to smart of a post. OT: for this game Nope super big waste of money seeing as i would only use it to look up the collectibles. Lots of extremely useful Game guides out there, Kingdom Hearts 2 was amazingly helpful, and even more was L.A. Noire.
  • Who the he'll buys these things? They are a waste of money.
  • Even though we have the web and everything, I still think it is nice to have a physical copy of the guide. sometimes the web can be a bit confusing, and for someone like me, i just like having all my guides :)
