@ 4 - no worries on a down from me dude, same here. Great news on the new content for MP, it sounds yummy but....are we going to be able to actually PLAY them?
If I can't get into any matches, I may not even own this game anymore by December. Not with Halo CEA sitting on my lap and a huge backlog of unplayed games to complete still. There are better things to do than staring that the "cannot connect to session" message.
I love the BF3 MP but it's bad enough having to retry to connect to sessions numerous times before getting into one, only then to be booted from it.
I couldn't play at all last night. "Cannot connect to EA Servers" all night long. No shit? So I went and played Lost Odyssey instead. Yes I chose a convoluted JRPG with terrible dialogue over blowing things up in BF3.
THAT is how fed up I am with this server issue.
Keep up the great work EA, fix your shit before Mass Effect 3 is launched. Commander Shepard's troops in the co-op strike teams won't be able to assist saving the galaxy with your bloody servers down. |

| they had a little trouble last night but an hour of campaign and they fixed it and i played all night. night before last i played all night without problems. i think some people just get on the wrong time and not try again then fuss about the servers never being up. |

| I have to say this is the most uneven entry in the history of BF. On one hand it's amazing and huge MP with decent campaig, on the other lame co op mission, MP bugs and hard diff feeling more like insane with non stop enemies respawning. I am sad to say I put it away after 2 days of playing, due to the fact I have other games that I find better right now. Will getback to it when this DLC launched and maybe they will have fixed some bugs by then... |

| @18 It might be your controller. I havn't played this game yet but I know from experience that if your controller is old the thumb stick might be loose or wobbely, therefore when you yhink it is in a neutral position it may be positioned slightly upwards making your character move. I might be completely wrong but i would say it's worth trying a different controller ( if you have one). |

| I had to give up on this game for the day yesterday when the servers crashed YET AGAIN and every single match my friends and I were able to enter hours later kicked us for no apparent reason, only to see EA try and blame their shit servers on my/our connection. What was the point of the beta and the knowledge of 3 million pre-orders if your servers aren't prepared for a thousand people! GET THIS SHIT FIXED! |

I seem to have the same problem during multiplayer. I even took a minute to test it...if i step left, he steps back to the right. Lay down, half the time he gets back up. I just assumed it was lag due to the horrendous servers, but as much as I hate to see anyone else with problems, I'm truly glad I'm not the only one who can't connect AT ALL this morning. It's quite annoying, I didn't buy this game for the single player. Sure I'll play it, but that means I have to get off my couch and change discs :/ |

Those that are complaining about the servers, these issues have happened with every BF release on the 360. They will get fixed and the load will ease out. With how hyped everyone has been for this game, it was quite obvious there would be issues. Yet one MP game after a long wait and you forget about the annoying issues.
Seeing an A-10 crash 20 metres from me, with the resulting explosion bringing down a water tower almost on top on me, well, that BF moment will stay with me for a long time to come. Awesome game is truly awesome. |

Same here. Well, sort of. Amazon dispatched mine on the 27th but I haven't received the game as of yet. According to the tracking on the website it's sat at my post office and has been there for the past 12 hours or so. :S
It was supposed to arrive today but I suppose it'll be tomorrow now. Still, can't wait to actually play the game. |

@4 - try using the server browser, it works for me 9/10 times and you can choose which map/ game type etc. every time i go through quick match i end up not connecting or getting booted shortly after joining. with that being said at around 7:30pm EST its impossible for me to join a match until about midnight again but it gives me a chance to go out and get wings, see friends for awhile.
im having a blast with this game but there are a few glitches that are mildly annoying. i always have to go to 'my soldier' twice because it always fails the first time. why no exit option after match?(not a glitch i know). why does my jet sometimes glitch out and not respond then all of a sudden drop straight down... and i mean straight down like drop zone at canada's wonderland.
also, please for the love of god if you're playing as support give me ammo when i request it...especially after i heroically dash through gunfire to revive and heal you. wheres the love? |

The first time it took me 7 attempts to get into a game, the second time it took me 2. Played it for 2hr30 straight multiplayer and it's fantastic. I really wasn't convinced by the beta at all but went HMV and traded Batman AC in and got it from 3 quid thinking haven't lost much if it is poo. Turns out it's excellent, MW3 has a huge job on it's hands now.
The last game on my want list is Skyrim now. :) |

Not too happy about the fact that my preorder bonus won't be available for 2+ months. Should have been ready within days of release.
Console servers and matchmaking needs to be worked on. Too many times my squad of four has either been split up or 1-2 people have been kicked while joining a match. Also, with me living in the US, why does my matchmaking default to Europe when I browse servers?
Outside of all that, this is a fun game (when it works). Teamwork is required for success. This isn't a lone wolf CoD style experience here. Where else can you d-fib a downed soldier not even in your squad and get experience for it? |

| I've been pretty disappointed with this game so far. It takes me forever to get into a game sometimes. I'm pretty far into the campaign and it's okay...nothing amazing (as far as story goes). I don't care about the characters at all. That means a lot to me. I'm in film school and if you can't make sometime want to know what happens to your character then you've failed. The visuals are pretty good, but I thought it would be mind blowing with all the hype it got. I've only played it online for a couple hours. It's fun, but I'm over the mad dash to vehicles and then people sitting there waiting for you to spawn. It's worth buying, but there's no way it deserves GOTY. Not happening. |

| Strike at Karkand and Gulf of Oman are all I need, easily my two BF2 favorites. Not that I'm not enjoying the current maps (I especially love Damavand Peak and Noshahar Canals, I really just want these maps to get here. Can't wait to experience BF3's gameplay with classic maps will keep me busy until Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon:Future Soldier come out. |

| guys. i love battlefield too, but this happens EVERY DAMN TIME. 1943, BC2, and even Medal of Honor had server problem the first week or two. I didn't buy early for this very reason. it'll be fine soon, but i know that feeling of dropping $60 on a game and not being able to play it for a week. |

I'm not sure what so many are complaining about.
I haven't had a single connection/server error to date and I've been playing off and on since the midnight release. I'd welcome more people leaving the game soon (at least CoD is coming out soon to siphon off some of the crappy/annoying players online). If it doesn't work or you think it was a disappointment, trade it in, please.
Those of us who like/know BF gameplay and aren't looking for the arena football version of an online shooter will stay and solidify the core community for the game that will still loyally play until the next game is released. I've found it to be a solid game with very entertaining multiplayer thus far, even with some games having 4 or 5 useless recon players on each team at times. Those players will leave when they get sick of getting owned time and time again.
TL;DR - GTFO our Battlefield. bring on my free DLC as soon as its ready. |

So, no one remembers how crap the servers for bad company 2 were the first week of release do they? Same problems, I also don't think that EA knew they were going to sell 5 million copies the first week. As for delayed DLC, this isn't L.A. Noire where they NEED extra shit to push the importance of the game, its BATTLEFIELD, where soldiers are soldiers and war is war. No gimmicks, no crap, no bullshit, you're either good or not.
I have had numerous issues with the connection to EA's servers, one thing I will say is if you use the server browser and try to stay with DICE servers, you're good to go. The server issues will be fixed and they will have it streamlined soon. Unless its a sports game, EA's servers are the pride and joy of gaming servers. They are epic.
Give it 2 weeks, and I PROMISE all the issues will be worked out.
and by the way, server downtime this early after release is a good thing, that means they're fixing stuff.
Can't wait for Karkland, I'm glad they're waiting until December, makes sure there won't be any lame connection issues on DLC multiplayer. I can dig it.

Literally 2 hours after buying this game I went back to gamestop and transferred my balance on MW3 to skyrim, making skyrim paid for. So yeah, MW3 has no place in my home, or for any SERIOUS gamer for that matter.
Besides who really wants to play MW2 with prettier graphics and the same ol crap engine that the people who quit IW bcause of Blops stealing their engine again? Who really can say that sounds like a good time. Hey, pop in your copy of MW2, play the SAME GAME.
