Babel Rising Bringing Towering Strategy to XBLA

ATV racer Project Haste isn't Ubisoft's only forthcoming digital download title, as the publisher has also unveiled Babel Rising, a strategical god game that utilises Kinect to wield your godly powers as you strive to stop the Ancient Babylonians from building the eponymous Tower of Babel.

You'll be able to sling bolts of lightning, conjure up devastating earthquakes or rain down destructive floods upon your subjects, using Kinect to carry out your divine will. Babel Rising previously saw release as an iOS game.

Babel Rising is slated to release on the Xbox Live Arcade with new 3D visuals, a co-op mode and competitive multiplayer, sometime in 2012. There's five screens in the gallery and a few to check out below.

	Stopping them building a tower doesn't sound like very much of a game? I know that is the simplified version and any game can be broken down to a point where it is "hide, shoot, run" or "run, jump" or "drive round in a circle" but still, sounds a mite basic.

	PLayed it on Iphone if I remember correctly. It was OK, but fun only for a short time. Can't see myself spending $10 or more on this.

	I've already played Babel......When I saw this games title I figured this would be a separate Xbox live release of the Babel tower game from Catherine. I guess not. Sounds cool though!

	@4 I agree. Especially from the title, I thought it would be about building the Tower of Babel. Maybe an odd RTS that had you gather resources and organize construction while suffering through god's temper tantrums. That would have been more intriguing.
