Excellent game, just as good as the first.
The achievements for the riddler challenges are a pain though. Need to get every single medal with Batman (as expected) but then you have to do it two more times with Robin and Catwoman on the SAME levels. I won't be doing it because the frustration and repetitiveness will just ruin my overall impression of the game. Fortunately that's my only complaint, the rest of the game was stellar. |

It'll be another GOTY without doubt. One of my favourite buys of the year! Good story (though a little short), great voice acting a characters as well as smooth gameplay. Nice step up from the original, which was also amazing.
The only game close to this for competition for another GOTY is Skyrim in my books. BF3 and MW3 are old news and have had their chance. There's nothing new to them, so I wouldn't even add them to the list in my opinion.

totally kicks AA in the butt, hardly any surprise that it's doing so damn well.
Can happily say this is a damn strong contender if not actually GOTY.
After the ending there (don't worry no spoilers) I totally want to see a sequal or spin-off relating to that, my jaw hit the god-damn floor. |

| If my Special Edition only came with the Riddler code like it was supposed to, I'd be a little happier. Oh, and if the game was better I'd be happier. It's truly a sequel. Same game, nothing has changed. Don't get me wrong, B:AA was one of my favorite games of that year, but this is more of the same... not a bad thing, but.... I'm one of the few who hates the fight mechanics. |

| I am glad to hear it such a hit. It was a shame that the first game didn't sell more, so the fact that people are buying this is fantastic. The best part, unlike BF3 or MW3, this is an actually fully fleshed out, high quality, superior in every way adventure game and I'm just glad it's not getting lost in the shuffle this year! It has my GOTY vote......of course since Mass Effect was pushed to 2012 :)! neo |

I've blazed through the campaign and finished all Side Missions, Riddles (all 440) and Catwoman Story Chapters. All that's left now is Riddler's Revenge and New Game+. I decided to play on Hard, oblivious to the fact you get no Achievement for it, but I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Thus far I haven't needed any help or a guide and the Riddler's Revenge Challenges would be a lot easier if I didn't feel obliged to whip all of my friend's scores/times (nearly 90000 on Survival of the Fittest).
A great game, a masterfully crafted story and well worth every penny. Game developers take note, THIS is how you make a brilliant and unpredictable story (yes, I'm looking at you Gears of War 3). |

This game has kept me up WAY past my bedtime (work is so overrated!).
@8 - Pick up Batman Arkham Asylum first. Arkham City is the sequel and picks up where the story left off.

| This game totally deserves it. The game was amazingly made a great gaming experience. This is definitely the top game of the year for me (so far, Skyrim I am expecting to be awesome as well). It is kind of dumb that you have to do all the challenges 4 times (Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing) but once you get the hang of them they are pretty easy to knock out. |

| @35 The point of making video games is money. Rocksteady put a lot of time and effort into the game, and came out with a great one. They deserve a payday. They aren't greedy for charging us for DLC. They are a company, not a charity. |

| Not surprised, AA was both a big release and a kinda sleeper hit. A few of my firends didn't get it until a while after release because they expected it to suck (Superhero/Hero games often suck as we all know). I bought AA on the cheap and was surprised to find it to be a great game. |
