A dark and gloomy vision of a destroyed London invaded by the Martians, where panic reigns on the streets, War of the Worlds takes the 1953 movies and original literature by HG Wells as its template, and builds its own take on the story with narration from Patrick Stewart.

Fleeing the tripods and lasers through the parks and other recognisable London locations, you're plonked into the shoes of Arthur, as he fights the Martians as their tendrils poke around looking for survivors zapping anything in sight. Nasty.

Check out the new launch trailer for The War of the Worlds, which is available from the Xbox Live Arcade on October 26th for 800 Microsoft Points.

	So from the looks of it, its sort of the same genre as Limbo? Pretty interesting, at least in my opinion.
