Game sounds good and all and Sonic is my childhood game but it's a bit of a rip-off imo. Where as you can buy and probably already own the XBLA versions, the game then becomes a bit redundant.
As much as it'll be cool to have the original 1990 Sonic's on a disc, I've already paid and own them, so it'll be a waste of my money in a way. |

| Its a nice addition but I already got so many copies of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (but I don't have the original cartridge version). I have it on all those Collections from last generation and from this generation and on XBLA. |

i still have all the original sonics;
1,2,3,sonic and knuckles spinball(unfortunately), and the 3d blast
and i went to play some of them last summer in which i still enjoy them very much, i have almost all of them already and i still think that they are best on the sega genesis |

I've got Sonic 1 as part of Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube, and as part of Genesis Collection for PSP. I've banished that DS Sonic compilation some time ago (I only got it thrown in with the DSI XL).
I still maintain that the Sonic series needs a dozen or so 9/10 deserving games to apologise for Shadow the Hedgehog PS2 alone, and two dozen or so for Sonic 2006 (I will NOT call it Sonic the Hedgehog). Here's hoping that Sonic Generations becomes the first Sonic game since Sonic CD to deserve a 9/10. |

I'd pay for an HD Sonic Adventure 2, just for the DC/GC nostalgia. The Sonic levels were GREAT, and the rest of the game was passable. There have been worse games.

He wasn't putting in the Konami Code. There are actually similar codes for the original Sonic games. And Sonic R was one of the worst Sonic games in the history of the franchise. I'd rather play Sonic '06 than Sonic R any day of the week.
I can't wait for Generations, I'm really stoked for it. Only 1 more week. |

Sonic R was rubbish.. the only Sonic game I have so far (not forgetting the 2006 abomination), that I haven't liked, they should make the new Sonic CD unlockable in it, but I kinda get where they're getting at, they want people who haven't experience classic Sonic, to be able to by unlocking this.. |

Thing that really gets me, they've rereleased/repackaged/rebundled Sonic 1 so many times, but only once did they ever improve on it. I'd love it if they'd rerelease the Sonic Jam versions of the Mega Drive games. The customisation was cool, they gave all the games Hard Mode, different enemy and power-up placements, you could add Spindash into Sonic 1...
It's ironic that the level of effort they put into it is what prevents it from seeing the light of day again - because they actually ported the games to Saturn, it's so much easier for them to recycle the same old MD ROMs/emulator than to write a Saturn emulator instead. |

| I definitely cannot wait to get my hands on this i just recently downloaded the demo and own sonic 1 to sonic and knuckles with all 200G i remembered having sonic for the sega megadrive and was 3 years old finishing sonic the hedgehog 2 i fell in love with the blue dude and now i'm 21 i grew up with sonic and will have this game very soon |
