| Last I checked, another really cool way to get exclusive weapons is by unlocking them in the game. At least this isn't as bad as having to pay for them, but ever happened to just including stuff in the game? |

| Thats just dumb, they should drop the "Do something wild for this gun" idea. They got rid of the DLC weapons that you had to pay for (Now their free) but this is pointless. |

| Eh, I agree they should give out a few weapons, but 5? A little over the top, IMO. I have the code for the Sniper already. I guess I might try to get the others, but IDK. I am defiantly going to try out this game. Big fan of BF2. But GTAIV will have all my interests until then. ;) |

Right now there is no links to sign up your soldier, sign up for the newsletter, etc, but there is a section for the 5 weapons so I'd say bookmark this page and just check back every now and again to check for new links. |

I'm assuming the Stat checking is linked to your Soldier. Basically its like CharlieOscarDelta or Bungie.net where your online profile is linked to your gamertag so you can see what you've been up to.
I'm figuring that we won't be able to sign up for a little bit, so just give it time and keep checking back with the site. |

| I love how almost every news topic turns into a GTA IV argument, quit your bitchin and talk about the topic being displayed. I personally think it is a neat way and it forces people who want those specific weapons to dig further down in the game and the features that surround it |

| the problem is that there isn't any special "features" in the game to go with all this sign up nonsense. The only thing you're doing is signing up for a newsletter to get pointless crap, signing up for their website to get more pointless crap that you'll never use and going out for a pre-order. Plus you're still missing out on the other five weapons that only come in the "Gold" edition. Also, they supposedly said that all the weapons would be included in the gold edition aka collector's/limited. Might just be easier to wait and get a used copy of the gold edition. |

First off, Stop talking about GTA IV we all know what people are going to be playing on April 29th, don't need to be reminded.
Second, EA is trying to make an empire in the gaming industry. They're trying to get a hold of all the big names. This "Get these guns THIS way" crap is really annoying and makes me want the game less. I like BF2, I still have it, haven't played in a while but it was fun. Problem here is that you have to make all the jumps and dances just to get stuff for something you already bought. Just give me my stuff, I paid the $65 bucks for the damn game, now I want to PLAY the damn game. Big DLC like map packs are okay. But I don't want to pay to just freaking enjoy the game. If there is one thing that makes this easier its Penny Arcade

They're not rewarding anyone. They are doing this because people protested when EA wanted you to pay for this junk. Now instead of giving them away free as demanded, they have hoops to jump though, like signing up for their shitty newsletter, preordering, etc. Typical fuckhead move from EA. |

What a terrible way to advertise. "Hey, I have an idea, let's force everyone to make them do something that they DON'T WANT to do, or even care about, in order to get the full potential out of our game!"
If I buy the game, why should I have to work my ass off outside of the actual gameplay in order to receive extra weapons? Isn't it enough that I play the beta and get maxed out, buy the game, and I still have to go out of my way to unlock weapons? |

| Just so everyone knows the codes are just like the one for Army of Two. Its a one use code that you enter in at the multiplayer menu. I just got the one, well actually they gave me two, for signing up for the newsletter, so thats how I'm sure of this. |

Oh, and for the guy who thinks there are 5 weapons that are still exclusive to the Gold Edition, you only get them sooner, you can unlock them by leveling up as well like Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

| Man this is some major BS. Why should some ppl have an advantage over others? They should allow you to get those weapons by maxing out your stats, that way the ppl that did all this "running around" get them early but everyone else can get them through playing a lot. |
