Sid Meier at New York Comic Con

Sid Meier at New York Comic Con
Written Friday, April 18, 2008 by James Parkin

Do you like the Sid Meier's Civilization series? How about autographed swag? Well, if you answered yes to either of those, and will be around Manhattan, New York this Saturday you might want to take a stroll on over to the 2008 New York Comic Con.

Sid Meier, the director of creativity behind the Civilization games will be at the 2K booth on Saturday the 19th from 1pm-3pm meeting with fans and signing autographs. Also as an incentive, there will be a limited edition print on a first come, first served basis.

The newest installment of the series, Civilization Revolution will be available for hands-on gameplay for the duration of the conference, but Mr. Meier will only be there for a short while at Saturday.

For info, visit the New York Comic Con page here.

I love these nerd conventions! There's a massive one every year in Toronto. Alice Cooper was there once.

Conventions are great! Usually the most passionate people (in the subject, Blizzcon, QuakeCon, etc.) are there which should make for some interesting conversations amongst fans :P

I've wanted to go to Comic Con for so long...
Too bad I don't have the money to go, I swore last year I would save for this year!

Good, hopefully he'll be there so I can punch him in the face in person, instead of verbally assaulting his much "appreciated" game for being such a historical slaughter.

Oh, and I can't wait for the games release.

Poll

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
