Rage Gameplay Trailer Ventures into Jackal Canyon

Bethesda have released the sixth and final Rage gameplay vid. This one is called Jackal Canyon: Recover the Decrypter and follows our hero as he goes up against one of the Wasteland’s most brutal factions, the Jackal Clan.

At around 7 minutes long, it’s a nice luxurious look at one of this year’s most intriguing shooters. It’s also a great chance to get one final squiz at those gorgeous visuals before the game hits in October. You’d be hard pressed to find a pretty game this year, especially one of this scale.

Earlier today Bethesda also released a trailer for the Anarchy Edition of Rage, detailing the extra bits and bobs up for grabs. Check that out here.

I wasn't too sure about Rage at first, then I got to play it at eurogamer. All I can say now is that it is a first day buy for me.

Has anyone seen rage quit, i wonder if this will be made into a RAGE quit video?

OT: This game looks really good, maybe a good warm up for Skyrim.

Does definitely look like there isn't really a single even semi-original concept in this game. That's fine - it looks like a lot of fun. But it doesn't look like something I have to have RIGHT NOW, considering how bloated this holiday season is.

That and the copious amounts of running-backwards-while-shooting that will undoubtedly be pretty much the only strategy to killing enemies (not unlike Borderlands) is never fun.

Disappointing..

Looked like the player was forced down the linear 'corridor' of the game with running back n forward the only stratergy!

Great graphics do not make a great game..

Wait for the reviews before I buy this - dont need another dodgy over-hyped glitchy repetitive FPS on my shelf!

Besides Skyrim and Trials Evolution, Rage is my most anticipated game this year. You guys should check out the trailer with Blake Griffen in it, its pretty funny.

my gf is getting this for my 21st, it comes out the day after which is great, ive been looking forward to this game since it first dished out a trailer, it looks so awesome, deffinetly worth the money, i hope i get the anarchy edition and guide lol :P

That video looks pretty damn good. The level designs look really creative and beautiful. Looks like there was a lot of time and effort in creating this game, which is what I want to see before I buy a game. Cant wait to give it a try!

The graphic style is similar to Borderlands. The story is almot identical to Fallout 3 just without the retro 50s style of humour that gave that game its appeal. No XP system does it for me though. Call me silly but I when I kill something I like to see numbers flying, whether it's in Gears 3 Arcade mode or MP, or in a game like Bulletstorm with killshots. Or as in the aforementioned Borderlands with experience points popping up, or in Fallout 3.

This looks like just a very big open world Doom with vehicles and mutants/gangs in place of Demons.

I never base the game on how a dev plays it for videos. They are always trying to showcase stuff when most ppl just run in there and shoot and don't stare at the vistas or art style of a building ( there are some that enjoy it ). I just think it's crazy how many times they switch guns lol. Most games like that I find one gun I like and use that regardless of how cool a new on is. Maybe that's just me, but regardless i'm stoked for it and can't wait to pick it up.
