That contest kind of sucks because as always this game will most likely be leaked onto the net before it actually goes on sale giving some people a head start on finishing the game first. I could be one of those people muahahaha! That is if I even cared about the stupid beat the game as fast as you can to get a lame prize contest. Game looks to be an awesome experience.

Can't wait, just a little over a week now. I hope I will be able to pick up my game at midnight. Got my Redline energy drinks all lined up. Also, the social club is a nice touch. Would always pause my game and look at the stats for an hour. Now... I can show other people! |

Can't wait! I'm gonna skip the rest of my semester to play this one! Not really but it will consume every moment of my free time until at least UT3 on 360 or Fable2/Fallout3..as well as the other amazing games coming to 360 this year the list is too big to list but that's not the point GTA4 will rock my socks. Heh. |

For those having problems with the site, I recommend trying a different browser. Firefox was loading improperly for me as well, but Safari worked just fine. Hope that helps. |

Like every other GTA game, it comes out with amazing expectations, people play it, love it then within about 2-3 weeks there gonna start fillign up the pre-owned shelves.
All the other GTA's did it, Assassins Creed did it what gonna stop this one?

Kotaro-Fuma... the difference between this gta and the others is the multiplayer. i work at an eb games up here in canada and for the amount of call of duty 4 copies sold since its release, we've never had more than 3 used copies on our shelf.
why? cause the multiplayer keeps them coming back for more. i see gta being very similar in that regards and quite possibly challenging cod4's reign at the top of the weekly xbox live charts upon its release. |

Yaeyah, consider Halo 3, which was completely over hyped, and on release it sucked, alot of people didn't like it. now, look at how many unwanted copies of Halo 3 there are, wasn't that supposed to keep the player coming back?
GTA 4 has MP... Wow... Unless the MP is unequivacal to every other popular MP game out there then it won't take off.
This is my opinion of what will happen remember, you have yours this is mine, and I say the game will die within a month or two, if it happens dont say I didn't tell you. ^_^ |

I accept your opinion CorpseTumour(funny name btw) but all GTA games since GTA3 have been amazing and have lasted for so long that the wait until the next one was more than bearable and I see it being no different this time. I still know people that randomly pick up San Andreas now and then instead of playing a 360 or ps3 game |

@ #28, GTA may get old, but thats the reason why they are bringing out a shitload of DLC for it, so as to keep it fresh and make you go back for more, the only ones you'll likely see in the pre owned section will be the PS3 versions (still makes me chuckle how the tables have turned on the Pony Gaystation with the GTA exclusivity deal that they had over the original Xbox) |

CorpseTumour, a fair point but when you consider the amount GTA sells, surely it isn't surprising that the more casual gamers get bored and trade it in? More copies sold = more pre-owned copies.
Every game gets old after a while, no matter how good. Anyone still playing Bioshock? Resident Evil 4? Mario Kart on the SNES?
Plus, you seem to have skimmed over the online aspect. I'm not sure when I am going to get bored of goofing around with friends in Liberty City.
Just saw the new TV spot. I think there was a little bit of wee. |

Bristol Gangsta... Aren't Saints Row and Crackdown games that came out way after the GTA series, and clearly directly inspired by it?
Lets face it, GTA III rewrote the rule book on 3D gaming. Vice City showed what could be done when the template was applied to an era gamers of the time directly related to, and San Andreas was one of the biggest techinal feats of the last generation.
How, pray tell, can GTA4 possibly be overhyped? Still, you are going to be buying it, so I guess the hype works :) |
