Diabolical Pitch

Grasshopper Manufacture is a very busy studio indeed, what with Black Knight Sword, Sine Mora, Lollipop Chainsaw and now this newly unveiled Kinect title at the Tokyo Games Show, Diabolical Pitch in its upcoming portfolio of games.

Originally announced at TGS last year as 'Codename D', Diabolical Pitch puts you in the shoes of a baseball player lobbing balls at an onslaught of oncoming monsters. Yes, you read that right. It's typically mental stuff from Suda 51 and his dev team.

On a lurid day-glo playing field, two players can band together to pitch and bat balls at monsters, lifting one another up for a health boost or holding hands to launch a sort of 'fusion' attack against the waves of antagonistic demons. Madness. It's nice to see something original for Kinect though. Diabolical Pitch will be heading exclusively to XBLA.

	Was Codename 'D' supposed to be a retail game? Maybe I just assumed it was. Will give the trial a go; hopefully it's decent in SP because they mentioned a lot of coop stuff above.

	It's difficult to be critical about Kinect in these forums - But when I bought mine, I never thought that this game (regardless of how good it turns out) would become the highlight of the machine :(

	Kinect is starting to become enjoyable for me. I know some of the Wii-type games are enjoyable for most (any of the dancing or fitness games), but I already have a Wii.. Fruit Ninja and Gunslinger are awesome... Hoping this and Rise (I think that is the name of the game) are as fun as they sound. Rise of Nightmares looked fun too..

	@#1 Well there is a reason their games sell bad. they are aimed at very narrow audience with specific sense of humor and interests. I for one have no interest in their games like most of us, but I bet there will be few ppl who will be interested...

	i thought this would be an open world game like rise of nightmares. so far rise of nightmares is #1 and gunstringer a close 2nd must own kinect games. i hope chromehounds & all those forgotten titles like code named D start to come out for kinect. gunstringer gives you fruit ninja for free. my arms are so sore now lmao. however rise of nightmares really shows kinects true potential. i hope more open games come out like this. please do boxing,hockey & football sega. with the controls used in rise/nightmares. ryse looks decent but we need more like rise/nightmares & gunstringer games. not to sure about codenamed D anymore. will have to wait & see. rise/nightmares & gunstringers are a must own though! they show kinects true power!
