A collaboration between Suda 51's Grasshopper Manufacture and Hungarian developer Digital Reality, Black Knight Sword looks to be something of an oddity. A curio cast firmly in the strange mould that Grasshopper has fashioned for itself over the years.
A side-scrolling hack and slasher with a hefty dose of platforming, and oodles of blood and gore, Black Knight Sword looks brilliantly bonkers in this gameplay video, showing the cardboard cutout enemies and pop-up scenery all unfolding behind a red curtain on the stage of the game's weird puppet theatre.
Check out Black Knight Sword in the new trailer, then look out for the game on the Xbox Live Arcade in winter 2011.
