Having been spoilt rotten last week with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Dead Island, Rise of Nightmares, El Shaddai and so on, this week seems a lot quieter by comparison, and well, it is. There's not really a whole lot to shout about, apart from the release of The Gunstringer.

Twisted Pixel's first retail game, The Gunstringer sees you assuming control of an undead cowboy marionette out for revenge, pulling his strings using Kinect to move and shoot. You also get Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja Kinect in the box too, doubling your Kinect fun.

Nicktoons MLB and NHL 12 also make their way to North America, while Australia gets Rise of Nightmares and NHL 12 and Asia gets something called Dunamis 15. Tropico 4 apparently also releases in Europe this week too. Take a look:

Ahh cool the Gunstringer's being released. i don't have Kinect so I can't play it but this is the first retail title for Twisted Pixel and I'm hoping they do well cause they're a really great studio who I'd love to see grow and start doing more and more projects.

Preordered Gunstringer; LOVED the demo. That and Space Marine *should* keep me going until the 20th (hopefully the 19th) lol

@9 re-align your kinect I had the same problem not quite catching me so i just re-aligned it @ got a crown kinect holder of amazon for £7.99 to fit on my telly - ruins very smooth now...

@9 dont worry it dont make you a kid i love watching animation movies i have seen nearly every single one and i always like to try the game some are kiddish but those peguins are quality just too damn funny i cant wait for the game too. Keep making these animation movies and games that what i say im still need to play RIO the movie was grear Rango as well was ok not my favourite but i have a soft spot for animation

@22 thanks for info on Rise of Nightmares. Will get it sometime soon.

Sorry I can't tell you if the new lens attachment is any good or not; I haven't tried it out.

What game did you see me in? I cant remember. And yeah, I'm a guy, contrary to the Gamerpic, but I won't change it as you have to get 1000GS in FFXIII to unlock it so it's kinda cool lol

Nothing for me, i wouldn't buy any of these games anyway even if i was interested because they would never get played, i will be spending all my gaming time on Gears 3 until its 100% complete.

Damn I have Gunstringer preordered, but don't have a console until September 20. Of course, upon remembering that I went to go change my One-Day Shipping I paid extra for on the game to the free 2-day, only to find it's too late to change... damn there goes $4. That's almost enough to get... well, nothing.

I guess it's calm before storm. Everyone is ready for gears 3 at this point. No point in even starting another game knowing I won't finish it. Feels nice to take a week long break from gaming for a change:-)
