  • Why couldn't this come out on Summer when nothing was out, oh yeah..... the 10 years anniversary on November.... damn, wish these games comes out on Summer rather than Winter.
  • I cant wait for this. This is when Halo was at its best. Well that and Halo 2.
  • Canadians always get ripped off :(
  • what happened to the master chief avatar outfit dor the pre orders then ???
  • @ 4- You're assuming that they just cut it out for this? *smh* OT: Awesome. I love art books. Would prefer a brand spanking new novel but then again, it'd have to be another prequel book. Either way, the more the merrier :)
  • doesnt this game only come with like 4 maps or something screw this
  • That cover should be a future halo game.. Put MC with a DMR.. or i guess BR would make more sense.. and that would be a good cover pose.
  • @6 It comes with 7 maps and the original campaign and firefight for 39.99 which is more than most games come with for the 59.99 price. Remember the campaign for Halo CE is actually pretty long. Stop your complaining.
  • Does anyone know if you get the other pre bonus's with game?
  • I was wondering why GAME didn't get the other pre-order bonuses... I guess this is the reason. Eh, I'll keep my order on Shopto. It's cheaper, and it has (in my opinion) the better pre-order bonuses. Oh, and the GAME website is live now :)
  • Mini book is a bit trashey but never the less i am just going to buy it out the shops for my christmas.
  • @ 9 - http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-9060-Halo--Combat-Evolved-Anniversary-s-Grunt-Skull-Pre-Order-Bonus-Trailered.html
  • @1 Couldn't agree more!
  • sorry my bad 7 not four and I wouldnt know about the campaign length as I didnt own the origional xbox, and in this gen the halo games are short, forgive me if I'm wrong but I think it was halo 3 that started the modern day phase of 5 hour campiagns. Im still unsure about this though I'll probably pick it up early next year since I will probably be playing skyrim.
  • Can someone in the UK preorder this for me? Will include tip lol
  • Think I'll stick to the other preorder bonus of the skull and avatar armour considering they seem to be exclusive to preorder whilst a full version of this will be released anyway.
  • @ 14 - Campaign length and quality are not the same things nor are they both needed to be considered a success or "Good".
  • Still thinking my shopto preorder is the better bet. Hopefully be able to get the art book on eBay or something
  • @17 in my eyes they do need both would like to play a below par game for 20+ hours I doubt it, would you be happy if the game of all time come out with perfect gameplay for it to only last like 4-5 hours I think not. I know I wouldnt be anyway. when I put my money down I expect them to have given it their all in development or release it as a budget title
  • Not much of an offer.
  • @17 While they don't need both, they do need quality. That's kinda what "good" means is good quality. If they made a 30 hour game where you just hold down A, that would not be good @19 I would say length definitely helps, but a lot of the time a shorter campaign game just focuses a lot more on multiplayer. For example, Battlefield Bad Company 2, or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Both had fairly short campaigns that were easy, but the campaigns were still good, and so was the overall game because the multiplayer was great.
  • Hopefully Game and Gamestation will get the other preorder bonuses too, i wouldn't care for a mini-book, especially since the full size one is out a month before.
  • Awesome stuff! - Wait for the collectors edition to be announced ? - NEED to get down to gamestation for my pre-orders!! :)
  • #23 a gamestation member of staff or what?
  • @ 19 - Well then you're constantly expecting too much. Most of the times, excess length can defeat the whole purpose/plot by over-dragging. Unnecessary lulls and dead points can totally destroy a games pacing. Sometimes, it's not even part of the plot/completion factor but exploration can either enhance the journey or dull it. A lot of people trash Halo Reach for it's "short and lame campaign" b/c they compare it directly to the predecessors which solely relied on Chief as the Hope Bringer. Noble Team was a different breed of Spartan and were more like a SEAL team rather than a one man army. It was a story of loss as well as passing the torch. Everyone just wanted big battles and lots of flare. That's not how you tell a story. This story made me feel the loss of my team and what my sacrifice would mean by the end. I enjoy that emotional connection in a game. @ 21 - That's a bit extreme. I've got a few good examples: Heavy Rain - The game is an absolute GEM and all it is, is slight character movements and very simple (pacing is where the difficulty comes in) button mini-games. It's probably the best serious story telling in a game ever. Shadow of the Colossus - This is literally 10+ straight boss battles and about 5-10 minutes of separate events of traveling in between. That's it. BUT, it's how they told it and executed it. Otherwise, you're just riding a horse from Point A to Point B, climbing on the giant thing and stabbing it a few times. But. It. Was. EPIC! Quality is solely based on the player. "One mans trash is another mans treasure".
  • @ 19 - "when I put my money down I expect them to have given it their all in development or release it as a budget title " I say this a lot as well: Go be a game developer. That's not me being a dick but when you create something and put in the amount of time and effort they do only to be scrutinized by a bunch of people who don't have a clue what it was you went through for THEM, it would irk you wouldn't it? You can't really judge someone on their quality and effort unless you go through what they do or at least get to see it hands on.
  • @25 I'm expecting too much, because I want a quality game that also has a good length campaign???? come on I know that I'm not the most informative person when it comes to game development far from it. maybe it is just me since I'm not really a lover of MP im more of an old school SP guy. just look at rockstar games with amazing quality and length, same with elder scrolls and fallout (granted it was bugged to hell), mass effect, dragon age I could go on but I wont. so yeah I'm not a mp lover so shoot me. and why are all my comments getting thumbs down all im saying is I like long quality games, dont you guys??
  • @ 27 - Fair argument but I'm just saying, rarely you'll get that double gem. Then again, like I said: everyone has their preferences when it comes to games. I for one prefer narrative. The revelation in Bioshock mixed with the constant view from the players perspective and the environment drew me in. Yet I despise standard FPS'. Halo was a rare gem for me as well in the FPS genre since I dig on the MP. My heavy draw in games for playability is a sandbox game. Assassin's Creed, GTA, Mercenaries, Just Cause, etc just to waste time. Pay no attention to the thumbs thing sir. That's clearly nothing more than a popularity contest between the kids on here. The mods/admins really ought to get rid of it b/c it does nothing but stir people the wrong way. Then again, I don't even want to get on the modding of this site. I've seen forums go completely to hell with page breaking posts and LOL-packed posts that get nothing but thumbs up. But then I see people's comments just disappear who put up a retaliative comment defending their own posts. This site is slowly turning into the horror that Gamestrata was.
  • Wow, GAME and Gamestation get a lame 24 page booklet (not even a proper book lol) and they have the nerve to charge £5 more than other shops? ShopTo.net and others have the game cheaper and with the Grunt Skull and Chief Avatar Armour. Epic fail for GAME/Gamestation.
  • @ 29 - "GAME (when the site goes live again) or Gamestation in the UK will bag you a free special edition collector's art book" Where do you see a charge in there? Are the words Free and Charge synonymous to you?
  • @30 Shopto= £29.86 with TWO DLC items, GAME= £34.99 with a 24 page booklet. Put simply, you are paying over £5 more for a few pieces of paper when other retailers are offering 2 pre-order items for alot cheaper, its clearly a rip-off. Oh and i never said they were charging for the booklet (might wanna read post again), i simply said they are charging £5 more for the game but offering less/rubbish bonuses.
  • @ 31 - Ah. Bear in mind, I'm an American. That is bollocks though and I sympathize. Didn't mean to assume you just added the price in there either.
  • OH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
  • The art book seems nice. I like the cover.
  • I was excited until i saw the UK thing,I like concept art especially when its Halo...
  • No thank you on this one. Will get the game but not going to preorder it for this.
  • Yes Yes oh God Yes I cannot wait to get this game NOW
  • Awesome more free stuff, can't wait for this since nagging all my friends to get it. :0 Also forget GoW/Mw3 I'm sticking with Halo the best series on the xbox.
  • http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Building-Worlds-Titan-Books/dp/0857685627/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314835637&sr=8-1 Same book??
  • already pre-ordered my copy. And you can still play Halo CE on the 360.
  • why a lot of good games coming out all in november this year??? i must robe a bank....
  • @41 Robe a bank ey? Let me know how that goes for you
  • hmm like they needed too add this to convince me to preorder it, i already did that months ago when it was announced :D
  • The game itself and the maps that come with it are bonus enough. @ 1 Thats what X-Mas is for.
  • cant wait for modern warefare 3
  • That's too bad that I'm not getting the art book, but it doesn't matter, the game itself is my prize.
  • No US, what the faaaack?
  • what about canada ?
  • If only the mutiplayer was halo ce,armor lock here we come :D lol

  • @17 If campaign length doesn't matter then why do people always rip on Call of Duty for having a short campaign?
  • I'll just grab this one off ebay. I'll enjoy my bonus skull when this game releases :)
  • DAMMIT!!! Saw "pre-orders" and was happy. Saw "from GAME" and was not :-( My pre-order is with Future Shop.... Tempted to find a copy of this for my nephew, he's crazy for anything Halo.
  • @ 51 - B/c people are opinionated and are entitled to such? I never said it doesn't matter. I said it's not the same thing as quality. A short but explosive campaign = quality.
  • Exclusivity is lame.
  • @ 52. Yep its all about Opinions even when most of the FPSs have a short Campaign. You need the right amount of length and story while I'm realising that people don't understand that.
  • Sorry I meant 54 not 52.
  • @27 You're getting "Thumbs down" on every post because you're commenting about something you have no clue about. We can understand that you haven't played Halo: CE, yet you're saying/implying that the campaign will be short and so on and "not be good" or whatever. It's painfully obvious that you don't know what you are talking about at all.
  • @ 58. Thumbing him down causes more problems then good, but you sir are right about the rest. I'm surprised that someone would say that CE is a 5 hour campaign unless if you did an insane co-op speed run because I believe that it had the longest campaign out of the Halo series.
  • This game sounds really fun I have Halo Reach and I use to have Halo 3 but it broke (played it to much) and I still have ODST so I will probably get this game
  • Can't wait for not only this campaign but achievements to go along with it an nice bonus, my only predictions for the achievements are: beat the game with classic visuals, the usual normal, heroic, legendary difficulties, and some kind of Needler related achievement Halo 3, ODST, and Reach all had needler achievements Fear the Pink Mist, Pink and Deadly, and A Spoonful Of Blamite just saying. Awesome I can't wait for this game gonna be epic.
  • Sad it won't come in NA, at least we still have the Avatar Master Chief Armor and the "Grunt Funeral" skull that makes grunts explodes like plasma grenades. :)
