| The beta was okay, i noticed that they made the game more about ranged weapons (gears was all about close combat, shotgun madness.)Honestly i think they made the game way to easy to get kills *call of duty* especially with the retro lancer which kills you way to fast. The sawn off is way to noob friendly, it pissed me off cos thats all people used and it takes no skill, you run up/roll and just pull the trigger regardless where they are you will get a kill. It literally is a 180 degree range which is ridiculous. Well at least the game wont be as laggy (compared to all the crap in gears 2) but theres still that 1 and a half second delay. |

| @28 I agree with you, the sawn off was to noob friendly, but it did not always kill. If you had that weapon and missed, you were screwed. If they shortened the area of spread a little it would be balanced. But I like how this game is more about ranged combat, not close range. If I wanted that I would go play WoW or some game not based around guns. Guns that shoot bullets. Bullets that go places. Places which are far away from the gun shooting them. |

| @28 Gears 3 was the most fun yet I've had. And you'll only die from the sawed-off if you aren't good at using the gnasher, in which case you should be using the sawed-off. The gnasher can still down you in 2 shots from across a whole room, the sawed-off can one shot you if you nearly touch someone with the end of the barrel. If someone runs right up to you with a sawed-off maybe you aren't as skilled as you think... And about kills being too easy, you've got to be kidding. Every weapon in the game except the hammerburst and pistols have one shot kills/moves... (Except grinder, but it might as well be 1 shot) |

| Dont worry about my skill and my knowledge about gears and whos talking about the gnasher? i wasnt comparing the sawed off to anything Was simply critiqueing the sawed off. Oh and thanks for helping/proving my point, you mention that the gnasher takes skill and thats right, but the sawed off is just ridiculous, its unrealistic and the spread (like i said) is 180 degrees inches infront of you. They made the dammage for the retro way to buffed up and at one point i got 90 kills with it in one game. It just needs some balancing with all weapons (it was a beta after all)and honestly they should remove the sawed off IMO |

If we're going to rag on the saw, why not go back to the old chainsaw complaints too (and 2-piecing, wall-bouncing, and anything else that's effective)? |

| This was a really good interview. It's nice to know that they actually took to heart the shortcomings that beta brought to bear. Having ways of escaping the spawns is a welcome edition and the fact they took the time to think of ways where teamwork is always at the front of you mind in the campaign is great. |

@ 48 - The Beta may be old. The game hasn't released yet. Then again, everything must be so cool in your little fantasy world aka Your Room.
OT: I honestly was mainly just for Horde mode and the Campaign and saving MP for last but I'm not even bothering with MP. Epic doesn't impress me one bit with their horrible online period. A buddy just had his stats reset for a second time and he's quite the Gears beast. I haven't played MP in months and I dare not even check my stats due to so. It's been nothing but a rapid decline in terms of MP for Gears IMO and I'll take my chances in assuming the next will be just the same. Bleszinski seems to be synonymous with Molyneux: Empty Promises behind Smoke and Mirrors. |

@28,29 - wow you can't be serious, you think the sawed-off is for noobs?? you must truly suck at Gears of War. the gnasher can 1-2 shot kill you from across the map, where as the sawed-off has to be point blank range to kill you, plus you get 1 good shot, and if people are running up on you that easily then you obviously don't have as much skill as you think.

anyways, Gears Of War 3 will be one of the best games of the year!! |

| I posted my comments in the Epic forums, voicing my opinions over my time with the beta and had my posts and comments deleted and I was banned for life. That day I cancelled my preorder for their game and switched it to Batman: Arkham City. I still think I made the correct decision. |

Horde Mode 2.0 and the campaign are what's brining me back to play Gears 3! I even went out and bought a brand new surround sound system just in anticipation for this game alone!
