The 6th annual Madden Challenge kicks off tomorrow, hitting seventeen cities through the month of November. The competition is available for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 2 players and costs $15 to enter, with a maximum of 256 players per region. However, the best prizes are available to the Xbox 360 side of the event and there is no PS2 finals event. The competition is open to U.S. residents age 13 and up, but you are excluded if you or an immediate relative work for EA or Best Buy. If you are looking to enter, it may not be too late. Only the registration for the first two events has been closed. Click here to find the closest regional and enter.
Winning a 360 regional nets you five EA Sports video games, a $50 Best Buy gift card and a trip to Los Angeles for the finals. PS2 players get $1,000 for winning a regional, but there is no further competition.
The final tournament will be held in December, the grand prize being $50,000 at Best Buy and another $10,000 cash. Second place gets $25,000 at Best Buy and $5,000 cash, while 3rd and 4th places each get $5,000 at Best Buy.
