The Cursed Crusade

The Cursed Crusade Dated With New Trailer

Atlus has confirmed the release date for The Cursed Crusade, which sees Templars Denz and Esteban fighting for their cursed souls as Denz de Bayle searches for his lost father. Judging by this trailer, there'll be more to the supernatural element than first thought too, with the heroes sprouting horns and engulfed in flame as they embark upon a trip to Hell.

Redeeming their damned souls might be harded than it looks then, although Denz and Esteban are both proficient with swords, meaning plenty of action-packed hack and slash gameplay. You'll visit real-world 12th century locations and it looks as though you'll be sent into a dark underworld too, where you'll face hellbound minions.

Check out the new The Cursed Crusade trailer below, which also announces the game's October 11th, 2011 release date.

OK!?
Never heard of the game and the trailer did not leave much of an impression on me. Probably wait for the price to go down or pick up pre-owned. I just hope this game doesn't ship with some online pass as well, lol

I'm guessing this will turn out to be something like a medieval devil may cry mixed with dante's inferno

If you never heard of it and it didnt leave much of an impression on you, why would you bother to pick it up preowned? Do you just buy every single game in the world or what? Why bother to pick it up ever? Why not just buy something you like? @1

at least Dante fought he`s way down to hell... And killed hellspawn with skill unlike this guy here who`s turning in to a devildemon to get supernatural powers to do the same job :

Looks interesting though :)

Also this game has already gotten a price drop. Got an email from Atlus today letting me know it will be $39.99. And since it's a coop game I might buy it for that much instead of trying to rent it.

This was better when it was called Dante's Inferno.

@ 3,4,5

"he probably just said it for the sake of something to say..."

Says the people doing the same thing. And #1 probably only said he'd pick it up later pre-owned because it looks decent and for the achievements. After all, that's what this site tis about.

@12 not even sure they release it in europe, Atlus released a few games that never made its ways into the european market, i asked the local gamestores and some not even heared about it and not sure if they will get it. So my best bet is to just wait untill close to release date and ask and google around if this game gets released in europe at all. If not we probly screwed as its NTSC in the US and we got PAL so if its one of those games that has a region code then even ordering it from the US won,t do you much good it woudn,t run on a PAL Xbox360 ;)

Why can't anyone just release a normal, realistic medieval video game? Why does there have to be connections to the future, journeys into hell, mutations of enemies, female warriors, and ridiculous historical liberties? With Bladestorm, Assassin's Creed, Dante's Inferno, The First Templar, and this, there have been five games done on current consoles specifically about the middle ages, and NONE of them are realistic or historically satisfying medieval video games, which disappoints me.

Though RDR was admittedly unrealistic (for different reasons), it was a more believable historical fiction--and I'm hoping one day for a video game that does for the middle ages what RDR did for westerns.
