@ 3- How old are ya sir? This was a shining example of button mashing Beat-Em-Up games that soared throughout the 80's and early 90's. Double Dragon, Bad Dudes, Kung Fu, Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden. All classic 2D semi- sidescrollers that had the most bizarre pattern memorization methods ever! Gamers today have it fucking EASY! Nothing was worse than being on your last life (Back when games made you put in all that effort again and again and again b/c of an inanimate object in the game you didn't know could hurt you) and restarting. The days of true video game endurance are surely behind me. I'd love to see if ANYONE would have the Mile High Club achievement if they had to start the game completely over after 2-3 deaths...you know what...they SHOULD do that! |

Amazing. This is one of the games I wanted to be re-made for XBLA...this is THE BEST Double Dragon game ever created...Super Double Dragon is a close second but Double Dragon II: The Revenge is a masterpiece. Can't wait to see how this is going to turn out. I just hope it has 2 player co-op and the original soundtrack songs. Now I want Simpsons, Sunset Riders and the real version of TMNT Turtles in Time. |

@ 15 - Firstly, only b/c you asked for it: My first comment was, yes, me expressing my slight immaturity for a nostalgic title. Condemn me to fucking hell why don'tcha? Secondly, I Got Squeezed said he never heard of Double Dragon. So I asked how old he was. There was nothing insulting there. You'd be surprised how many people pre-2000 don't know about certain classic titles. Good luck on your word limit advocation. Start a petition. |

| @ 20 - Thanks bro. That's all I was wondering. But instead, cool kid Aaron114 is apparently under the impression he's the Nostradomus of calling out douchebaggery. And you're right, it's NOT a big deal. The hilarity of it is, if you knew the patterns of the games, you could run through them in about under an hour. If I recall correctly, with the Whistles, you could beat Super Mario 3 in under 15 minutes. It was all linear Get from Point A to Point B stuff. |

To anyone complaining about the enhanced graphics mode of the original XBLA version, you do know the redrawn graphics can be switched off, right? IMO the original arcade Double Dragon is better than the arcade version of Double Dragon II. But the NES and PC-Engine versions of Double Dragon 2 were both spectacular and much better than arcade DD2. I do own a Double Dragon II arcade machine and I can't wait to get it on XBLA, enhanced or not. :) |

| @Everyone who mentioned Battletoads/Double Dragon and The Simpsons (hopefully you're referring to Bart's Nightmare?), send me a friend request. I need people with that kind of gumption on my friend's list. People who know.....that the greatest days of gaming were skateboarding through Springfield and destroying it as Bartzilla. You know what it's like to play a classic video game in all its nostalgic glory. You have been to the top of the mountain, my friends. You have lived....the dream. |
