FIFA 12 Kicking Off at the End of September Confirms EA

EA Sports has announced that FIFA 12 will be hitting the pitch at the end of September, bringing its Impact Engine with real-time physics and collisions to the stalwart football franchise.

"We believe we've got something special on our hands this year, with a trinity of gameplay innovations that we believe revolutionise FIFA gameplay in a good way," FIFA Line Producer told us in an interview earlier this month. "First up was our player Impact Engine, our real-time physics engine for the game. The other component of that trinity of features is the tactical defending, which totally changes defending this year and our precision dribbling system, which is a really engaging and rewarding dribbling mechanic we've got for FIFA 12."

FIFA 12 will be bringing its 'trinity' of new gameplay features on September 27th, 2011 in North America and September 30th, 2011 in Europe. For more FIFA 12 coverage, check out our hands-on preview and the full interview with Rutter.

Why do Americans get it earlier??(no offence)
And for the love of God stop rambling on about the Impact Engine and just fix the online servers please!! It's not too much to ask and will make Fifa much more enjoyable for people, especially Pro Clubs...

@2 i think we should get any Baseball, NFL, NHL, or Basketball games then in Europe first since FOOTBALL isn't even popular in NA.

Why should america even get FIFA when one of the Fs stands for football and they call it soccer, whereas a game that you don't use your feet they call football?

@2 considering that the game gets made in north America I thinks it's ok that they get it first. Seriously it's 3 days. GROW UP. and has for just fix your stupid ea servers!!! I can count In One hand how many times I had a problem with a game. Maybe you should check your stupid Internet connection. And at #6 the last time I seen American football game they did use there feet. And to every other anti yank the FIFA series actually sells pretty well in north America. Might not be the biggest selling sports game in north America but it would compared to some European countries. By the way I'm British. Actually N.Irish Aka N.Ireland Aka Ulster. Rant over now down thumb me.. Cause the truth hurts!!'

Yessssssssssssssss!!!!! Another birthday in September, another FIFA as a present :D I don't care how it plays or what the graphics are like, all I want is to sit in front of my tv, hear the classic 'EA sports, it's in the game", and annihilate all those dirty chelski fans :D

@11
Wow calm down, I even said no offence lol, i was just saying because football is extremely popular in europe and it's rather strange that it doesn't get released here first,that's all i said, what do you mean the truth hurts i weren't arguing u dumbass!! It was just a question!! And "my connection" LOL, everybody knows this years ea servers are fucking terrible, but they can afford to fuck up the online because they have no competition and people are gonna buy the game regardless since PES is so weak, seriously you need to do your research...dumbass!!

@13 everybody knows??? Lol everytime I play clubs I never have a problem. That's a lie actually, had a few problems the first night. But that's it. So not EVERYBODY has a problem with ea servers. And again read this bit carefully. The game gets MADE IN NORTH AMERICA. and it's only 3 days later. In fact were getting it a month earlier. FIFA 11 was the end of Oct.

Love these peole who complain about ea. And how there servers our crap. Don't buy ea games then you won't have problem. JACKASS!!! R.I.P Ryan Dunn

Im not arsed about the US getting it first, if it's as bad as fifa 11 then hopefully the gamers of america will speak up about it's shitness and I'll dodge it.

I can only hope they take Ultimate team offline, but that's dreaming. Once they take the servers down, that will be gone :( I still play UEFA 2006 just for that game. I'm in the process of selling off all my players, cheap, to get them on the market since you can get about $18 trade-in for it.

Oops on me but I was reading the information on the right column for release date. That's what I was going by on my comment in #17. You need to change the date for Europe from Aug 30 to Sept 30. Aug 30 is the release for Madden actually. So we do get it 3 days earlier.

@14
WOW lol i never complained about America getting it early, i just wondered why, do you not understand? I thought considering it is so much more popular in Europe we would get it first, that's all, i never complained about getting it later, it's only 3 days, but just so you understand read what i wrote again!! And check forums on the net, on ea, everywhere people complained about the servers, why did they have to do an update in mid december-january to stop people freezing and getting disconnected then?? And what do you mean don't buy EA games?? I'm not bashing EA, in fifa 10 there were no problems with the online, i'm just putting forward some suggestions on what they should focus on fixing in this version of the game. Btw congratulations you can call me a jackass over the net, how hard are you...

@3 If its not popular in North America how come my local Seattle Sounders that I watch every game of is now in the top 15 in the world for average attendance to the games right now we have 40,000 of the 67,000 seats in the stadium available for the soccer games and are selling them out within hours of them becoming available. Also every few weeks they open more of the stadium for Sounders games and the extra seats are again bought within hours. Now you tell me its not popular here.

Gonna wait at least a month after the game is released before i buy FIFA 12 this year. I wasnt to happy with the lack on title updates for FIFA 11 so im gonna let the dust settle and see what the reviews are saying first.

@22 Your not thinking about it properly, how popular is Football in comparison to other sports in the USA? & when you consider that the population of the USA is around 4 times that of the UK you'll understand what I'm saying. There are more people in the USA to like Football. & i didn't say nobody liked Football, i just said it wasn't popular, you can't deny that just because a couple of teams have good attendances.

@22. When I see the highlights on FSC, Seattle has a large attendance. Some games look like they couldn't give tickets away. It may be because Seattle has the cool XBOX jerseys ;) The avgs (according to wikipedia) are anywhere from 10k to 36k.

Haters going to hate but it will suck for those when the only football on this year is the real football not hand egg.

Sorry, giving FIFA 12 a miss. FIFA 11 was a pretty bad game to be honest, so I'll go back to PES. Chipping in that so I can feel good about making a correction.

For the people saying FIFA is made in North America, it isn't. It's made by one of EA's studios in England, so yeah.

Correcting myself, this one's being made by EA Canada. To be honest, most of them are made by EA in England and I stopped paying attention years ago. Apologies on my own mistake, now I'm going to go and not come back to this news story. Cause that's how I roll. Or whatever.
