Alleged cover art leaked for the next Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack supposedly entitled 'Annihilation' has been spotted on the internet today, following rumours that a third five map DLC bundle is set to make its way to the Xbox Live Marketplace in the near future.

Earlier today, a leaked image of what appeared to be a promotional flyer for the third Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC pack from GameStop showed five new maps, including four multiplayer maps and a new zombies map. The four maps are rumoured to be called Silo, Drive-In, Hangar 18 and Hazard.

According to what is rumoured to be leaked cover art, the date for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation Map Pack is set for June 28th. However, any chimpanzee could knock up a fake cover, so take this one with a pinch of salt. No doubt if the map pack is real, you can expect to fork out another 1200 Microsoft Points for it.

[Update]

The video below provides more conclusive evidence that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Annihilation Map Pack could be coming on June 28th, with clear close ups of more promo material.

  • Boooooya
  • Please make achievements like the first DLC and not the 2nd.
  • want to pay more money that you already should have for a crappy game? this is where to do it!!!!
  • Hope it is as good as call of the dead
  • Most Likely The Last Map Pack For This Game, I'm To Cheep I'll Wait To Deal Of The Week For This And The Second One.
  • so if i went to pick up the game today, it'd cost me 60 for the game and and extra $45 for the maps?! HAHAHA i say no thank you.
  • Another COD leak. These guys either suck at keeping secrets or leak it themselves.
  • @4 crappy game? One of the best selling xbox 360 games around, crappy? Your joking son, maybe you lack skill in the game?
  • Catch it now before they decide to add a monthly charge to it as well. Nooch.
  • @ 6 I really don't know why you capitalize every letter Didnt buy Escalation, but the zombie map looks cool from the picture.
  • @9 I would've said that, but you beat me to it. Another map pack is fine with me, might not buy it, but happy it will be there if I decide to.
  • I'm sorry but sales and actual good games are two totally different things, stuff like Alan Wake which is a fantastic game with great ratings hasn't done as well as Black Ops which didn't really get amazing ratings. I've played Black Ops but never bought it, it's just hype over an average game
  • @9 a lot of people call the game crappy because there's nothing new to it; it's just more of the same multiplayer and campaign. HOWEVER, the game ITSELF is not that bad, people, including me, are getting sick of seeing the same thing. I own the game and I occasionally enjoy playing it, but the reason more people are getting pissed off is because the difference in content and quality between the last 3 or so Call of Duty's are very slight even to the point of arguing the extreme "copy/paste" argument. OT: I was going to get the 3 map packs but then I realized that I'd be spending 45 bucks for 12 maps and 3 zombie levels, so I think I'll wait until a deal of the week brings it down to 10 or 7.50, because the zombies games are quite enjoyable :D
  • Meh, i'm going to an Air-Show instead that weekend.
  • NO....COD has become very crappy... Its just like Halo was.. If it has the name Call of Duty/Halo in it people will buy it just cause of the name. Don't get me wrong both are kinda fun to play with friends for a little while then it just gets boring. Personally I think the past few game for both COD and Halo where pretty bad. Hopefully the New companys making both Halo and COD can twist things up agian and make great games.
  • @9 & 12 Just because the sheep buy it doesn't make it a good game.
  • Dang it! I don't even have the second one yet!
  • I should've traded in this crap for $40 GS credit when I had the chance... At least now if I trade it in to BB I'll get back the money I spent on the first 2 map packs. I'm about ready for BF3 and MW3 now
  • @9 LOL you fail
  • I highly doubt it drops on the 28th.. But bring on the last map pack so i can get 1500G and be done with this game! Ready for MW3 the CE Anniversary and BF3 for my MP fix.
  • I hate spending 1200 for DLC but my love for zombies makes me drop the money everytime
  • once again, NO!!!!!!!!
  • and NO!!!!!!!
  • The fact that it's the most selled game on the Xbox doesn't mean anything. Black Ops is crap. Black Ops is boring. Black Ops isn't superior to MW2. It has the worst graphics a CoD has seen.
  • Seriously?
  • Downloaded the first two for a total of 30 bucks. No way am I going to get this one as I am now rather bored of this game and I can't justify myself spending another 15 dollars when mw3 is coming out in a few months. Plus I don't want to have spent 45 dollars on map packs.
  • Is there no mercy within the halls of Activision?! I haven't even bought First Strike yet, and I don't really play Black Ops multiplayer. So I am essentially going to have to pay 45 FLIPPING DOLLARS for 3 Zombie maps if I want to 100% the game. Un-fricking-acceptable. I am NOT buying ANY more Treyarch maps. And depending on how MW3 is handled, I may just called Black Ops my first and last Call fo Duty game. There's Halo: Anniversary, Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3 coming out this year to keep my shooter needs pacified.
  • @3, too hard for you?
  • *Treyarch games
  • So it has a date on it...but also says "available now"???
  • I've never heard any comments saying they like CoD, but everyone buys it, what the hell? Don't buy the game if you don't like it, and then shut up. @17 It is good, very good. Of course it isn't the only game out there that is good, as CoD fans always stupidly say. I enjoy Battlefield, CoD, Halo, Gears, and pretty much any game I play. These are all exceptional games. Just because a lot of people are sheep and say it's crap just because everyone else does doesn't mean it is. @25 It's the most successful game ever, not just on xbox. It also made more than any movie ever has if I remember right. I will say I got kind of bored in the middle of the campaign, but the end of it was fun. Also, I only prestiged once, I'm not a hardcore CoD fan who played 1000+ hours to get prestige 15.
  • only if theirs achievements
  • @16, you can't compare Halo and CoD. CoD recieves criticism for being a poor game because each title isn't much of an improvement and the series has become annualized. This isn't the case with Halo. Release times are still 3 years apart for main releases and Bungie does one hell of a job at really stepping up the game every time aside from personal opinions of the game.
  • @33 They would never consider making a DLC without achievements.
  • Hope the new zombie map is more like Ascension.
  • @9 Black Ops is the best selling game of all time so far
  • Sigh...
  • Waste of Money! *clap*clap*clap-clap-clap*! Waste of Money! *clap*clap*clap-clap-clap*! Waste of Money! *clap*clap*clap-clap-clap*!
  • I really hope they release this much DLC for MW3 just as long as its Spec Ops heavy unlike MW2. Spec ops was the greatest thing to come out of MW2./
  • @9 People are stupid; have you listened to the radio recently, the 'popular' things tend to suck nuts now. @39 you can't slow clap after you have said something! OT: I wish they released the zombie map separately so you have the option of not buying shit maps for a shit game just for a fun game mode addition.
  • @39 a waste of money is the 105k gamerscore you have. oh wait you musta hacked if your that cheap.
  • Nice keep on milking the CoD fan boys :)
  • well shit the bed im always down for new zombie maps but 1200 is alot but wtf can i gonna do about it. im gonna buy it, get BAKED, and not give a shit once im enjoying with my BuDz
  • @9 Just because its one of the best selling doesn't mean its one of the best.
  • what an original zombie map name...
  • i so hope this is better that the other two map packs :)
  • I hope they make what we all want a map with everything from the last 8 zombies maps hell even keep a giant walking zombie.
  • @46 I noticed that too right after i posted, but didn't want to double post. They sure put a lot of time and effort into naming it. @9 He didn't say it was the best, but it certainly isn't crap. But I don't have super high standards like everyone has these days so maybe I'm the exception in liking it. I even liked Fracture, lol. (I got it for 10$)
  • Hey guys, I am a Store Manager (AKA GM) of a Game Stop. The "Rumors" are TRUE! Call of Duty Annihilation Map Pack is now available for reserve at your local Game Stop! It will be $15 (+tx) or the standard 1200 Microsoft points. It is confirmed that the Maps include: Invade HANGAR 18, Escape the HAZARD, Attack the DRIVE-IN, Infiltrate the SILO, and Obliterate the ZOMBIES! Head on out to your local Game Stop and reserve your copy today! (Dont forget to reserve your copy orf MW3 while you are there!) All that was said above by the initial Author: Richard Walker, is true as I have stated above. For anyone with PS3 friends, sadly it is the usualy delay. Probably about a month or so till that comes out (as always). Hope this helps!
  • Sounds. While I doubt it, perhaps Hazard is the chemical warfare map I've always wanted? Of course not. While I don't really play Black Ops anymore, if my friends get this, I will too. Zombies doesn't get old! Though I'll confess, I didn't like Call of the Dead too much. Too complicated, too hard. Zombies should be simple fun, and challenging on the later levels.
  • just give me something to play, im fine throwing money I can afford it.
  • I hope this means the other packs will go on sale soon. I would love a reason to get back into some multiplayer but 1200 points a pack is way too much for me to justify spending.
  • really another? screw this i aint waste my money better off just playing regular with all the noobs then spend over 100$ for maps... Go ahead hate but really if your smart you will cetch on they are trying to get your MONEY!! enjoy.
  • Ummm, isnt this about the validity of truth behind it being new DLC? It looks legit to me.I need good people to play call of the dead with me...
  • your all a bunch of cry babies! get a damn job!
  • call of duty and another map pack, holy $$$$ batman, no surpise here and everyone crying about it will buy it i nthe end
  • Oh boy, more ridiculously hard and/or rubbish Zombie achievements on the way!
  • @17. So because people bought Black Ops (or any other CoD game) they're a sheep? Get a grip, your opinion is just that . . . Millions of people bought the game, and the Map Packs that have followed since, and there's still a huge amount of people playing it online, by those FACTS alone, this game is evidently a good game, otherwise nobody would give it a look . . . Opinion is one thing, fact is something completely different. Personally, I thought the first Map Pack was great, and from the brief time i've tried Map Pack 2 I was impressed. Treyarch are light years ahead of IW when it comes to actual maps IMO, MW2 had god-awful Map Packs, but Black Ops, superb so far . . . As for 1200MSP, considering the rise in the cost of living, I can't see how 800MSP was going to be the "average" Map Pack price. Besides, if you compare it to Halo, 3 maps for 800MSP, then maybe it's not just Activision you should be having a pop at people . . . Looking forward to some confirmation on the new Map Pack though X-D
  • Loll glad i stop playing CoD you need the game 60$ + the both map packs 15$ each + this one 15$ and then MW 3 in november lol im out
  • this is why it pays to have friends who let you take their rights :D Should be called Black Ops: Sheep Map Pack. I mean at this point your paying the price of the game if you have actually bought it from day one. I still don't know why people aren't making a bigger stink about it... But oh well just gonna have to keep getting rights from my friends or have them buy it on my system.
  • call od duty all day man like or not best military shooter
  • Sold BOps during that 50% Deal at GS, Got me 80 Bucks. Play Cod4 Randoms.
  • @59 Millions of people smoke cigarettes, that doesn't make them a good thing. My point was that CoD is a casual shooter fan's game. It is entirely too easy to dominate in those games. Which is fun for a minute but unlike some people I prefer a challenge and hope that my opponents are just as skilled and intelligent as myself, or more so. CoD has become to games what the Wii is to consoles, meaning people who don't normally play games purchase CoD games to either see what the buzz is about or have something to do with they're friends. It's a casual game disguised as a core game. Just because you bought a CoD game doesn't make you a sheep, necessarily. I'm just saying Black Ops wouldn't have been as big of a seller if it wasn't for people drinking the Kool-Aid. Modern Warfare wasn't even going to be a CoD game but they were worried about it not selling well so they slapped CoD on it, called it 4, and said they were taking it in a new direction. Which is funny cause if it wasn't for Modern Warfare, CoD wouldn't sell millions of copies every year. It's one thing to put out a quality product every year but when you rehash a formula that is getting increasingly stale year after year and then charge people $15 every other month for 5 new maps you're sending a message to your customers that is insulting to them and shows them all you care about is gouging them for money. All that money they make and they still don't have dedicated servers, that right there says they don't care about the people who buy their game. MW3 won't have them either. That's the kind of stuff that baffles me. The FACT is, whether you want to believe it or not, Activision views you as a sheep if you buy a CoD game... and that's just sad.
  • @9 yes, it´s a crappy game if you compare it with call of duty 4 and crysis 2
  • #64 nailed it.
  • i want it but i dont think i will get it i only like the zombies
  • Me to Activision and Treyarch: "What's your favorite drink?" Them: "Milk. Milk. Milk. Milk. Milk. Milk."
  • 600msp then i would get it
  • I'm probably not gonna buy this one, I loved the maps added by First Strike but all the maps from Escalation (call of the dead non-withstanding) sucked really bad.
  • Hangar 18, epic! :D
  • Lets milk this sucker dry.
  • I might make this one the first that I buy. I do want all of the zombie maps, though. If there's a deal of the week on Black Ops, do you think it would involve the first two packs, just the first, or none at all? I have plenty of games to play, but I'm afraid if I wait until these are all discounted, the MP maps will be much less populated with MW3 coming up, so I'll just have the zombie maps (the best part, but still). Recommendations?
  • On a different, more related topic... Am I the only one hoping that the new Zombie Map is called "Paradise"?
  • Right on my Birthday, too! *McCake*
  • @74 i agree that would be very good,. stop moaning about map pack price people , its not that important, if you want it get it ,if you dont , great ,just dont think your opions on call of duty are fact or the same as everyone elses, they arnt. i play with my friends every night and therefore i dont mind paying 10£ every 2 months for map packs. any way i think ea are miles worse at milking .
  • i just want zombies :D
  • no more black ops dlc for me.mw3 will be out in november so ill save my money for that.not saying anything bad about the map packs,i like all the maps they have added so far but the price is ridiculous.
  • @78 Agree with everything you said.
  • "With Annihilation, Black Ops fans will get four exciting and unique multiplayer settings with Hangar 18, Drive-In, Silo and Hazard," said Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. "Players will also enjoy an all-new Zombies experience, Shangri-La, an exotic and mysterious map filled with deadly traps, dark secrets and innovative gameplay that will challenge even the most daring Zombie hunters." Source: http://investor.activision.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=585487 --- Nice one, 3arc! The place is about the legendary fictional location! James Hilton fans, this map will be yours :p Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shangri-La
  • @ 76 - It's a different story to call EA a milker. EA is more on sports and that's b/c there really ISNT much you can add into sports games. Hockey took the biggest stride with the change of control (both sticks for movement and stick control/use) which was acceptable. COD...military shooters...there's a practical unlimited amount of untapped resources for ideas and upgrades even counting out Science Fiction additions. COD has offered NOTHING new in terms of modes we've all seen before and very little to change the core MP up. If it works, it works but if you want something more or different? Guess what folks, bite the bullet and move to a new franchise. Don't completely turncoat, just find an extra interest otherwise, all you're really asking for is CODMOHBFBCHALO etc. You all want something from the other game and so on. Try playing more than one. It's not a dictator regime, folks. Playing the other will not devoid your coveted franchise. Grow up.
  • @80 Shangri-La transates to Mountain Pass. that being said, i think this could be the passage way from CotD to "Paradise" and there'll be another map pack. most likely this is "paradise" however cause WaW only had 3 map packs. but then again, the last pack was released in like september-ish if i was correct.
  • I don't care what other people say about this game I'm still buying this map pack.
  • There will very-likely be a 4th map pack before MW3 comes out. Treyarch released First Strike 3 months after the release of Black Ops. 3 months later, Escalation comes out. Now near 2 months after that, this 'Annihilation' will come out. From the beginning of July to the beginning of Novemeber seems like a HUGE gap of time where Activision and Treyarch won't be able to get money from call of Duty fans.
  • @ 64 I completely agree. I regrettably and unfortunately have bought the previous 2 DLC maps but i can't stand to see that in one month they come out with another, they just want our money. There are those who buy it JUST for zombies, which is a waste of 15 bucks cause you don't play live, and all they care about is achievements achievements achievements in zombies to max out their BlackOps gamerscore, and there are those who buy and get sick of the maps within one week. I fall into catagory one unfortunately, and although you will call my a hypocrite for saying it's a waste of money, I'm to obsessed with the fact that zombies involve achievements and so I'll be wasting 15 bucks to basically get 5 new achievements, play zombies for a week, and put my game down for the rest of the summer:( DLC like this sucks... Anyways, BattleField 33, Gears of War 3 Halo CE Anniversary are a must have. Call of Duty 3...isn't looking so good so far. Read up on it, they're ruining the SpecOps feauture and i BET any amount they will try takin Treyarch's idea of full custamization to your weapons, which just takes away all originality of Modern Warfare series. All in all, Call of Duty (as a whole) isn't catching my attention as much anymore, they just aren't doing anything spectacular like other titles are.
