Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster

E3 2011: The Kinect Kiddy Round-Up - Sesame Street, Kinect Fun Labs and More. Live TODAY!

Kinect Fun Labs is live today, amazingly, bringing with it a whole host of new Kinect innovations such as finger-tracking that can be used to draw and trace with your fingers. You can also scan your face to create and eerie skin for your Xbox Live Avatar, so it looks just like you.

You can also scan any object into Kinect, meaning that you could potentially scan a toy version of your favourite car and race it in a game. The possibilities are truly immense.

So, go download Kinect Fun Labs today and start playing!

Tim Schafer also came up on to the MS stage to show more of Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster using Kinect, which is also looking in great shape. It's gonna be a hell of a year for Kinect it seems.

Microsoft is certainly raising the bar this E3. A lot of push behind the Kinect. Looking good so far

FunLabs is good, wouldn't really group it with the kiddie stuff though, its more just a tech demo for stuff that developers can put into the next wave of Kinect games.
I was hoping it was available right now, I want to scan myself to see if I was accurate with my avatar creation

If you go into the Marketplace and scroll to add-ons it does not show up, BUT if you actually select add-ons it is there. 700+ MB.

Those kids were remarkably annoying.

One thing, though. They said that you can scan objects in for use in-game, is that only a possibility until a particular game makes something intractable with it, and it wont be used in the meantime?

'cause I don't care if you say it's gay, I want to scan in my plushies and add them as an item for my avatar. ^w^

@17 I doubt you will be able to do that, it would remove their ability to sell avatar props which they won't do

Like the way in the announcement they said "Scan in your car"
Yeah my car easily fits within my bedroom. And yes that is where i keep it. And yes the kinect cables will reach that far. Thank you so much.
