Hah, awesome.
I'm hoping that the mechanics are all essentially the same; that is, all the same weapons, damage, etc. Cuz if they meddle with that, it won't feel like CE at all, which would suck. I completely approve of (obviously) improved visuals and physics and such though. |

| I was really skeptical about it at first, but after seeing the brief glimpse into it, I can honestly say I'm excited. Whether or not that excitement stays in place is up to all the content I see in the coming months, but if they managed to stay true to the original, this is one more amazing game that's coming out this fall. |

Well after seeing the trailer showing sprint and what seemed like jetpacks.. this went from a "must buy" to a "buy it later when it's cheaper for the achievements".
Remake? I think not. All they need to do is give it Halo Reach grphic update, co-op and achievements. That's ALL THEY NEED TO DO. Sigh. I feel upset now. |

| I have a feeling the Multiplayer is just going to be extra classic maps added to the Reach multiplayer. You'll be able to play it weather you own Reach or Halo:CE. They don't want to fracture the Mutiplayer player base. This probably means no Halo: CE weapons in multiplayer. |

This is the ONLY game I ever loved playing co-op - except for that horrible split-screen view! This is THE game I have been waiting to be ported to run natively on the 360 (not as an "Xbox Original"). Improved graphics, co-op over Xbox LIVE. Oh... did I forget: ACHIEVEMENTS?!!
No one has mentioned the ONE worry about this update: Let's pray that for the campaign-mode... they DO NOT ALTER THE POWER OF THE MARINE PISTOL! That gun kicked ass!!! I also expect all the other aspects of the campaign to feel the same - I don't want Halo Reach weapons in the campaign! I wish the vehicles would act the same way as the original, but I'm sure THAT will be updated to the new controls and "limitations" of the current Halo genre (i.e., no hovering banshees). :-(
Still... this is my FAVORITE Xbox game. I'm glad to see it FINALLY on the 360!!! |

| @76 Campaign runs off of the original Halo 1 engine so there are no changes to the way campaign plays, only the graphics have been updated and the ability for Xbox LIVE co-operative play. Multiplayer however runs on the Reach engine so it can be integrated with Halo Reach so the player base doesn't split. So in short your campaign experience will be the same it is only Multiplayer where it will be like Reach. |

| For everyone who is complaining or hoping they do not change the campaign. They are ONLY changing the GRAPHICS. the multiplayer is off the reach engine because they don't want to go backwards since new players are used to the reach multiplayer and everything, the multiplayer will still be on the original CE maps, with improved graphics, i'm not sure if we will be using CE weapons or reach weapons for multiplayer, but they will also be adding 1 firefight map.
