Warhammer 40K: Space Marine Collector's Edition Confirmed

THQ and Relic have today confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will be available as a Collector's Edition packing all sorts of collectible gubbins in a big old collector's edition box including a 10 inch replica Purity Seal, a glossy hardcover art book, the official Space Marine soundtrack, a premium pack of 25 character cards and of course, a copy of the game.

There will also be a range of pre-order offers available to UK punters, including weapon skins, armours and more from selected UK retailers. Check them out:

  • The Elite Armour Pack, only available at GAME and Gamestation, includes the unique Space Wolves, Black Templar, Iron Warriors and Emperor's Children chapter armour skins.
  • The Golden Relic Chainsword, the primary close combat weapon for Space Marines, is available at Play.com, Zavvi and Sendit.com.
  • The Golden Relic Bolter, a powerful ranged combat weapon, is available at Blockbuster.

There's also five new Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine screenshots to take a look at in the gallery. Space Marine is out on September 6th in North America and September 9th in Europe.

@5 - was hoping for something like that.
£80 Is a bit steep for what your getting in this CE. I'll just be getting myself the normal copy of the game :).
Cant wait for this game. UK Got something !! - Whooray ... rather have the Pendulum Wars Lancer come to the UK but hay. Something's better than nothing :)

hold on september release date?? Relic said it was August, I know its not that far off, but its only two weeks before gears 3, do they really think people will buy this instead of gears? Don't get me wrong I'm dying for space marine, I'm not so sure about other people

Yeah when did this slide to August? Everything I've heard/seen/read on it has said August, not September.

OT: Damn awesome CE, shame about the price... I'm thinking it'll drop by £10/£20 before release though. GAME tend to drop around £10 after first posting a product, before a CE actually comes out.

More piecemeal deals, with the intention of flogging the rest as DLC down the line.

@32 - I agree. Sadly it's not just THQ. LA Noire and Fallout New Vegas both had similar pre-order deals.

For £80 I Don't Think This Is Worth Getting Right Away, I Have Pre-Ordered This Game Since september Seeing As It Was Meant To Come Out Decemeber -Then March And Now August. This Game Is Totally Gonna Rock No-One Can Deny This, but Still For Now I Am opting For Just The Game If It Get Cheaper Ill Get It Like 60 Max.

@32 & 35, I also agree, you make the effort and spend the money to go and pre order the collectors edition only to find out that it doesn't have all of the extra content that you expect from a collectors edition, an that infact you have to pre order it 4 time through 4 different retailers to get everything. Shameful, shameful cash cowery.
