I was actually pretty disappointed with Alan Wake. Didn't really grab my attention during any pre-launch publicity, and then everyone around me kept going on and on about how great and unappreciated it was, so I bought it. I actually found the game to be really trite. Not for video games, perhaps, but for anyone who has ever been a book reader. Just couldn't get into it. Perhaps Alan Wake in XBLA form would temper my expectations. |

I will rage a little if a Kinect game continues the actual story, not too bothered if it is just a spin off. But yes, I would like to play some more Alan Wake, even if it is some sort of XBLA version. |

| Microsoft should give Alan Wake another shot. It's a sold exclusive and even though it didn't sell as like would have liked it did come out the day Red Dead Redemption did. It's tough to try to go head to head with a Rockstar game. |

I want a direct sequel! nothing else will make me happy. if they make an arcade game it will be completely different from the original game. No Wake, separate story, different graphics = time that should be used making a sequel. The game may be good but it will never be as good as a sequel would be. |

Guessing this is MS way of pleasing the fans and giving remedy something to do while not selling a actual "Xbox 30" Retail game that "wont sell". Clearly it was MS's own fault for the first Alan Wake not selling well in the start.. Why you would try to compete with Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption is beyond me. Personally, Id rather have a disc based game and not a title under 2GBs. but ill still play this none the less. |

| This will be amazing, and I have theory that if they do this correctly, it may even be a prequel. In the story of Alan Wake, Night Springs was some of the first work he did, the scripts for the episodes that is to say. Still purely speculation of course, but any more Alan Wake related gaming is fine by me! |

i simply adored Alan Wake. was a great game designed as an hybid between a game and an horror movie. so anything new would be really nice. and if its a kinect thing, i say AWESOME! ppl keep complaining about kinect and how it let down harcore gamers, and yet whenever they announce a more hardcore-ish game, ppl complain it ll be a kinect game... |

Would rather them focus on a sequel than a arcade or expansion disc than ab arcade, especially kinect, i dont care about Kinect, but in that case it would likely more getting the controls/mingames that story. Sidenote: whats with the people getting thumbs down for stating their opinion? |

A Direct sequel would have been more awesome, As MS has no short funding they can easy make a sequel. As for the news happy and disappointed at same time, When I read the rumour I thought it will be something based on Thomas Zane or Old Gods of Asgard. But actually it's arcade game based on Night Springs, Don't know how good it will turn out to be but Still eagerly waiting and super excited for more news |

| ANY more Alan Wake has gotta be a great thing, but, Kinect based? Um, no, thanks, im not going to buy a snazzy webcam to play this, why potentially alienate an already sadly low fan base (based on the unfortunate poor sales figures)of the game? If it is kinect based, i hope to god its not 'essential' to play it. /sad-face. |

Not entirely sold on Kinect working in the Alan Wake universe. Hopefully they provide a gamepad option for those who either don't have Kinect, or simply don't want to use it. In any case, I'm always down for some more Alan Wake action. Which reminds me, I've gotta take a trip back to Bright Falls and mop up that one achievement I'm missing. |

| Always had a mixed opinion on Alan Wake. On one hand the game had some awesome elements (the tv shows, the manuscript pages detailing snippets of whats going to happen etc) but I found it didn't quite execute things as well as it could have. The enemies especially were absolutely terrible, no matter what enemy that always take a set ammount of X gun shots for instance. Plus after a while I got bored of seeing trees. Obviously alot of games spend time in the exact same area or type of area, I loved Portal and that's all in the same lab. But with Alan Wake it really seemed to get to me for some reason. But I will admit, overall I enjoyed it lol. |

I think it's a good new but I'm affraid of the "Kinect Compatibility". I can't use Kinect for health reasons, so I hope it will just be a compatibility, and not a prerequisites for playing ! ;-) Enjoy :D |

| I would assume it will be one of those "better with kinect" titles. Kinect is not necessary to play the game, but will add a few extra quirks to the game if you have one. Like Mass Effect 3, where you can do hand motions to send orders to your team mates if you have a kinect; Or the Halo Anniversary lets you use hand motions to throw grenades. Can't imagine they would turn Alan Wake into a game the requires the Kinect. |
