Brink Launch Trailer is a Blast to the Senses

Featuring more than 100 quadrillion character combinations, a whole host of weapon customisation options and a campaign that enables you to assume control of either the Resistance in a bid to escape the Ark or the Security in a bid to save the Ark, Brink is a curious beast, and you can take one last look at the game in action before getting the chance to see what all the fuss is about this week.

This launch trailer features oodles of gameplay footage from the game, demonstrating the meaty gunplay and fluid free-running SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) system, as well as the game's multiple objectives that you'll have to complete in the story-driven campaign.

A hybrid of multiplayer objective-based gameplay and narrative, Brink is certainly something different, but will it live up to expectations? You'll have to look about for the definitive review coming soon! For now though, check out the slick launch trailer. Brink is out on May 10th in North America and May 13th in Europe.

  • Can't wait for this! I'm getting the Nordic pack (spec ops and Doom) at a rather good price and I'm going to spend hours in the customization area :D
  • Nearly perfect game so i cant wait for it... still wish they had women a complete guy world is kind of creepy... oh well it just means i dont get to stair at a girls ass when i play, if it is the worst thing i can live it for this game.
  • Welcome to Brinks Customisation Page. Please create your character... 10 years and 568,118,652,223 character mock up later... "I'm happy with that, lets begin!"
  • Wow... i feel guilty, ashamed, embarrassed. This is actually the first Brink video ive ever seen. For some reason I just passed this off. But wow idk what to say, this one video has won me over. This game looks freaking epic and tons of fun! Definate buy!
  • Going to get this mid night! Cant wait, i liked borderlands from Bethesda and ill surely like Brink as well. :)
  • GONNA BE AWESOME!!!
  • Midnight pick up! Can't wait! Only one test and 12 hours stands in between me and glory!
  • If you're a student, you can get a Che Guevara t-shirt and a soapbox for your Resistance fighter.....
  • There go my A-Levels.....
  • so...does this have multiplayer like tf2 or is it ONLY single player with the multiplayer objective stuff? might get it if its only single player
  • Hmmmmmmmmmm, this changes my mind a little, everything I've seen so far hasn't really gotten me interested in the game that much but this looks pretty good now
  • Woooooooooooooooo!
  • Soooooooo Mr#11, I'm sure you meant to say Borderlands from Gearbox, but then I'm not sure why you posted that here...not to sound like an ass, they're just small and can't lose publicity like that haha
  • This better be in my delivery tomorrow. I need this game!
  • too bad this game sucks. played it yesterday and after 2 hours i beat the first campaign. 6 missions per campaign and 2 what-if's per campaign? pretty lame...
  • @16 yea it has multiplayer but its objective based, like destroy a core, hack a safe, etc. and the classes don't really work right. this game's like a cheap knockoff of TF2 with realistic graphics (which aren't even that good)
  • THIS. GAME. IS. EPIC!!!
  • gonna have to play this one, hope it's good
  • @22 Okay, that's your opinion. How have you even got the game yet anyway? Preorder I guess... I would'nt really call this a cheap knock-off of TF2 seeing as it's got HUGE customisation options, if both single and multiplayer, and has great graphics (which aren't realistic, I don't know what your talking about; the character models are meant to have limbs that are out of proportion). And honestly, this is a refreshing change from Black Ops. I'm not hating on that game, but it gets very boring after a while.
  • Ive seen a lot of comments from people who have the game early and no one seems to like it much. The multiplayer looks cool to me but Im more of a TDM kind of guy and from what Im seeing its only objective based games?
  • @21 @22 Sooo you say you've completed the game but it's not on your played games?
  • Great trailer. Haters gonna hate, but I've had this reserved for a little more than two years, and I can't wait. Frankly if you're looking at this as a singleplayer experience, you're doing it wrong. They're scenarios, not levels. It's a multiplayer game.
  • The guy at 2:04 looks like Jack of Blades from Fable
  • Definitely going to be aewsome. The achievements look like the instructions. I feel as if alot of those things to do are going to happen all the time. Some might be hard though like one in a million.
  • Pretty stoked for this game. Hopefully it's as fluid as it looks and is easy to learn and get used to. Can't wait for tomorrow!
  • I am curious how others rate it. Will wait on friend's opinion before buying it on sale, if at all. Cool trailer though.
  • preordered in uk, not trusting the german translation :) oh and as always its like 10 euros cheaper on the island. just have to love those brits *g*
  • Should be a good buy :)
  • @21, go back and play your CoD.
  • i don't know why but i just ain't feeling nothing for this game. it looks cool but it's like meh.
  • @11. Borderlands was developed by Gearbox and Published by 2K. It had nothing to do with Bethesda. Regardless of developer, this game looks fantastic. Wont be picking it up day one but soon for sure!!
  • I was like everyone else on this page before playing it, totally hyped for a great game, different to any other fps, but I too played it yesterday, and it really is shit. I also completed the rebel campaign in 2 hours.. (it's not even a campaign, it's just multiplayer with AI) Also, for all the people who are saying there is SO much customization, it's complete bs. It's just your everyday customization like any other game. You can change your shirt, jacket, trousers, hat, and face paint, and then have some tattoos on your face and body. They say there's a shit load of customization because all they're doing is putting the red had with the blue shirt, then the black hat with the blue shirt, then the green hat with.. you get the picture. Honestly, if it were an arcade game, it might be alright, but there's just nothing to the game, as you'll all find out soon enough. The reviews are gonna slate it, I guarantee, because whether you like to hear it or not, no21 is right.
  • #10 - Very lucky for you then that it releases tomorrow. I haven't even been watching this for the entire time news has been coming in about it - only a few weeks or so - but I am definitely looking forward to picking it up tomorrow.
  • I can't believe anyone opinion because there isn't a game around that people don't say sucks.
  • @1 Im surprised no one has pointed out the fact that you are COMPLETELY OFF by 9 zeros. 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 is a septillion. Sep meaning 7. A quad would obviously be 4 and a quadrillion looks more like this 1,000,000,000,000,000. BUT! We arnt talking about a quadrillion. We are talking about ONE HUNDRED QUADRILLION which actually looks like this 100,000,000,000,000,000. You know how I know? Count it with me: 100 = One Hundred 1,000 = One Thousand 100,000 = One Hundred Thousand 1,000,000 = One Million Following me so far? This is where it gets kinda hard... 1,000,000,000 = One Billion (Bi being 2) 1,000,000,000,000 = One Trillion (Tri being 3) Which means! 1,000,000,000,000,000 = One Quadrillion! (Quad being 4 in case you missed it the first time) and... 100,000,000,000,000,000 = ONE HUNDRED QUADRILLION! Yeah... I seriously just did that. Disclaimer: I realize he said "In British terms" right after that but no one actually counts like that and that was just a failed attempt at making 100,000,000,000,000,000 look bigger than it already is.
  • British and American Billion and Trillion terms were released pretty much same time period. But please explain: "1,000,000,000 = One Billion (Bi being 2) 1,000,000,000,000 = One Trillion (Tri being 3)" For I see no '2' or '3'. British terms work logically, "Count it with me: 100 = One Hundred 1,000 = One Thousand 100,000 = One Hundred Thousand 1,000,000 = One Million Following me so far? This is where it gets kinda hard... 1,000,000,000 = One Thousand Million (1,000 x 1,000,000) 1,000,000,000,000 = One Billion (1,000,000^2 - See my numbers involve the number '2'!) However, to end this debate and give rational thinking on both sides, the American terms work scientifically. Because so many values involve powers (indices), and each set of powers get divided 3 and are represented by a letter, such m (milli-), *insert greek letter mu* (micro-). So yeah, whilst your one hundred quadrillion would work internationally for scientists, most people run on logic and like things when they're bigger (hint). Thus one hundred quadrillion is = (100 x 1,000,000^4) = 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
  • Got my copy yesterday and I think this game is a blast. I think there is a definite steep learning curve and it's not an "easy" game. I spent a good two or three hours replaying one of the three star challenges over and over until I beat it. The only thing I dislike so far is the distance people knock you back when they punch you. It's kind of rediculous.
