Altair and the medieval setting was a lot cooler than Ezio so this is great news. @9 It all about sales, the turn around to brotherhood was pretty sharpish just by using the same game engine. Maximum sales for minimal effort. |

I wouldn't mind this game, Altair wasn't a bad character and they could do more with him. However, a new time period and a new area would be brilliant, AC3 will be the best game ever. @#19 Are you kidding me? You want them to churn out shorter games? AC3 will be AMAZING, no matter where they go with it. Ubisoft are amazing, they're not stupid. It's idiots like you that ruin the gaming industry. |

Ah I love AC but with all the history on this planet, surely they can make a different ac game based on a different story, setting, environment. Japan,China,Greece,Egypt - Russia(Comics). Not one for churning shit out - Don't want to revisit characters. - Not that I don't like Altair (he's awesome) - but I want New,creative, imaginative games that will not be using same shit we have already seen. |

Another game series ruined by sequels, The first was fantastic and after no 2 I refused to ever play another game in this series again ;) Sure if they go back to the way the original played & took out all the predetermined/scripted bullshit, I may well give it another try, but like the way modern warfare ruined the call of duty games & multiplayer in general I won't hold my breath. |

| It'll be nice to see Altair again, but I have a feeling it could end up been very disappointing. I mean Altair never had the double hidden blades, or the hidden gun, or any of that other cool stuff Ezio got from Da Vince, and without it the game would likely go back to been boring and predicable, with just one way to Assassinate like in the first game. Where as if they tried to find a way to add it into the game it wouldn't fit with the time Altair exists in and, as with everything else in Assassin's Creed, would probably make the storyline into an even bigger mess than it already is. |

| I do love Altair, and it would be great to have a game with him in it live up to Assassins' potential (the first game was awful- aside from graphics). But to be honest I'm getting a little tired of AC now...same with COD, ther's too many in a short amount of time....if this one is released this year, please wait 2 years before the next one. |

| @48 So true, especially when after AC2 they said there wouldn't be another game in the series until 2012 and yet now there will have been 2 games between then and 2012, I guess it's just proof that developers are running out of fresh ideas. |

@47: Da Vinci made all of those things for Ezio BECAUSE of Altair. The secret little notes Altair was making were sometimes actually schematics for these new inventions, remember? Da Vinci would receive them, make them from Altair's schematics, and give them to Ezio. IMO, it would be INCREDIBLY easy to work some of these inventions into Altair's time, that in mind. |

| Yeah, Ezio has "better moves" because it's a newer game that they built upon. But side-by-side, Altair is way more serious. Ezio jokes often and likes teasing women. Altair, on the other hand, is straight-kill your ass-serious....ALL THE TIME. So my vote goes to Altair. BTW, the name sounds cooler too. |

Great! Altair... I will always prefer Ezio over Altair, but in AC1, Altair just seemed so dull as if he had no personality whatsoever. Just my opinion, so people don't need to go bust a nut over it. It would be nice to see a 'SPIN OFF' game telling more about him though... Assassin's Creed 3 needs to be worked on for at least two years. So hopfully they'll stop with this one game a year crap before it gets really bad. (AKA CoD) |

| Please ubisoft don't become like EA or ACTIVISION. 1 game every 2 years in a series is plenty enough. I enjoyed AC and loved AC2 and even if AC: BH was an amazing and polished game, it was still a letdown for me. The universe was pretty much the same one that I loved in the second game which brought me quickly out of the gam. Don't get me wrong, I still proudly keep AC:BH in my library and will come back to it soon. Please take your time with this one to make it a bit more different than the previous game. Hell Ubi Montreal, even focus on other of your great franchises like Prince of Persia and splinter cell. I would also lve if you would released a new rainbow six or far cry game. You're my favorite developpement studio and I don't you to become jerks like alot of the bigger companies. Because of that, I'll still keep an eye on this one, don't disapoint me :) |

Ohhh interesting. . . but. . . do I really want to play as Altair again? I mean hes a well built character its just that if he has no emotions like in AC1 the game will fall flat. I can also speculate where Desmound is during all this. . . is he linking with Altair's memories and if so whats up with HIS story instead of Altair's. As for the person who commented whether or not it sounds more like a novel/comic book then a game is I think there was an Assassin's Creed comic book under the same name, now I could be wrong but the title does sound familiar. |
|

Forum Posts: 980 | Comment #67 by Devil Sora Saturday, April 30, 2011 @ 01:01:05 AM | |
| #64: I could care less if the "The universe was pretty much the same" its all plot when it comes to me and Assassin's Creed Ubi has their head on straight when it comes to telling a story but still wanting you to play more and more just to find out what happens to a character whos long since passed on. They could come out with 1000 AC titles in one year if they wanted to as long as the story still somehow relates to Desmound and the Apple of Eden I will be floored by the quality of story telling. Also Subject 16 is the most interesting VG character who doesn't have a face that I've encountered in my time of playing games. So as long as you incorporate all those things the end result will always be the same. Absolutelly amazing |

More AC is always good news, too bad about the graphics... in AC1 they were more boring but more realistic, AC2 was more lively but more blurry as well... not that it matters that much, but still. I'd rather they moved on to another period and assassin, but oh well. This is almost as good I guess :p |

| Another Ac yay. It doesn't matter what character it is, as long as its got a good story and good controls it doesn't bother me. One thing i really want in this game is no repetition and th explanation of why Ezio returned to monterrigioni. anybody else remember when you were going to unlock the door and Desmond says" Ezio came back here when he was older" or something like that. I just want to know why he returned, if he rebuilt the city or was trying to find something. Ill definitely be picking this one up though just like ill pick up any other ac games that get made. |

@39 man that's real shitty, you'll be missing out. In my opinion making something amazing even better is a good thing so I'll keep enjoying what they put out instead :) |

Also I LOVE the possibility of playing as Altair's daughter. Actually I'd LOVE anything they officially reveal at this point. |

| 67 exactly what i was thinking. I have absolutly no problem if a company milks a game. I love it actually as log as they are quality games it makes me happy, cause i love them. As log as they keep it up I will definitly play AC every year. Hell I get CoD every year also, although I mostly play blops for zombies. |

| That means Altair will have to cut off his other finger to apply AC2 and Brotherhood techniques, right? Taking away the double assassinations would suck:( |

| @79 Let's see, the contents wasn't worth the price that Ubi wanted for it. As cool as the jack-in-the-boxes may have looked, were made of cheap plastic, a paper map that was smaller than what came in the Codex Edition, no player-character cards, no Lineage DVD, no codex book, just an art book, no art cards and the packaging was cheap flimsy cardboard not like the tin boxes that AC I & AC II came in. I will admit that the AC II CE was okay, but it was more of an afterthought than planned out. It was only put together because us N. Americans were complaining that we weren't getting the Black Edition and the White Edition wasn't selling that well in Europe and Great Britain. Now what would've made the AC II: Master Assassin Edition that we got a true Master Assassin Edition, is if it actually came with the Master Assassin Ezio that came in the Black Edition not the white Ezio that came in the White Edition. |

| well i never actually played one, i skipped it and bought ac2/ac brotherhood instead. i guess any ac news is good news, but i want ac3. anything with a name other than that doesn't project confidence on the devs part. |

Because Altair is born 1165 this will take place late 1100 AD or Early 1200 AD I really would like to see Asia as location. Ninjas and samurais :] |

@95 Altair made codex and in codex there is schematic for assassins blade without sacrificing finger. So its very likely that he will have gun, Double blades ect. |

brotherhood was interesting and fun in the assassins guild and multiplayer aspects, but it did little for the overall storyline of the franchise. I want to see a new AC with a new character that expands on Desmonds storyline. Something set in 1492 or 1776 colonial revolution period. Go behind the scenes on the american revolution with templar manipulation and scemes of that period. I can see some revolutionaries as badass assassins. Ahem B. franklin niggas! And templars in the british court and Americas like Benedict Arnold. How fuggin sweet would that be?! I just hope they dont start puming out shorter games to make a quick buck alla CoD and the franchise doesnt inovate and suffers. |

| Altair is more badass than Ezio but I hate how the Animus gives him an American accent... I would like an Arabic accent or something... |

| Ezio is more of a smooth talker with the ladies but Altair's background makes the Templars feel more real. How about a series set in Roman times? that could make for some quality spy and assassin work in the name of the Emperor |

| I say milk it and give me more AC. As long as they have something awesome planned for AC3 I'll take whatever I can get. Ubisoft proved with Brotherhood they can make a great game on a short development cycle. I don't feel like waiting 3 years, I want to bow down to Ubisoft and offer them the gift of my money, right now. I wouldn't mind a different voice actor for Altair though. The guy who did AC1 really sucked. |

| @ 32 (Vin) - To be fair, COD is nowhere near a new IP and really hasn't been. Military shooters have been done to well over-death. Still playable and enjoyable but really nothing new about them in terms of IP. There are only a handful of truly popular, replayable and enjoyable free-roamers that also have a deep and amazing narrative. I don't think many other games capture the Dan Brown-esque mystery, fiction and adventure that Assassin's Creed captures nor do many games use such instances of actual history. The Borgia's, The Holy Land, The Pazzi Murders, etc. The only other sandboxer that captures the same kind of fictional realism is Red Dead Redemption. |

| Honestly if they're currently working on AC3 why would they waste resources to make another short entry? Commit everything you can to AC3 and make it a completely awesome game. I've enjoyed all 3 games in the series without a doubt and the story progression forward in time. Why go back in time? The story brought us up to retreiving the apple, I don't need to go back in time as it would serve no purpose. And for gawd sakes drop the MP, what a shit show that turned out to be with wasted achievements to boot! |

I like this idea, the first assassins creed when it came out was great, but it's so lacking compared to 2 and brotherhood that i find it hard to play. Also Ezio had the benefit of more background information, Altair was irritating almost in the lack of development. It would be nice to have him play more of a direct role in later games than just getting his sword and armor. |
