Anarchy Reigns' New Fighter Nikolai is Electrifying

It's not hard to see where Platinum Games got the inspiration for its new Anarchy Reigns character, Nikolai with his huge lightning dispensing Tesla gauntlets. Erm, Nikolai Tesla, anyone? Clearly, the scientist is the inspiration for the new fighter, but the name and electromagnetism is where the similarities end.

In Anarchy Reigns, Nikolai is another hulking man mountain with huge gauntlets designed with the express purpose of pummeling opponents with electrifying punches in mind. Blam! Zap! Ouch! It looks like he'll easily be able to hold his own against Jack, Big Bull, Sasha, Blacker Baron, Zero and Mathilda.

Check out the usual character trailer, piece of character art and two screenshots to go with the Nikolai announcement. Anarchy Reigns is scheduled for release in autumn 2011.

	@1 lol i hope so too my friend. im almost certain Bayonetta will be in the cast if not a DLC maybe ;) this game isn't getting the hype it should imo

	Character design seems solid and the naming even makes sense. (Nicola Tesla etc.) That said I've enjoyed all 4 titles by Platinum s'far (Mad World, Bayonetta, Vanquish & Infinite Space). Suspect that this will be just as good, and of course I am lookin' forward to seeing Bayonetta in there too.

	I think a lot of the bosses from Madworld have potential to be selectable characters in this game. I'd give my firstborn to have Von Twirlenkiller to be a character in this too.
