According to internal estimates at EA, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 has broken series records in terms of sales, shifting 225,000 copies in its first week, outperforming all other PGA Tour titles released in the last 14 years of the franchise's history. That's a week one record of 17% more sales in North America and a year on year increase in digital console revenue of approximately 200%.
"We expected fans to be excited about the Masters and for sales to be up significantly. We're pleased that they are," said Peter Moore, President of EA SPORTS. "Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters has earned rave reviews, and fans have played nearly two million rounds at Augusta National Golf Club during the first two weeks."
Since the game's release on March 29th in North America, more than 7 million games have been played on all courses, the equivalent of 2,515 online tournaments have been played and over 184 million shots have bee played. Furthermore, 12 million course mastery objectives have been completed and 1.5 million achievements have been unlocked.
That's a lot of milestones. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters is out now. Obviously.
