| They need to either fix the jumping or cut out jumping puzzles and I'll buy it. That really ruined the 2nd DLC for me and soured me a little on the game as a whole. |

@11 - GameStop sells it for $25 used, but you can get it from Amazon for $27 NEW.

Awsome , alan wake was one of the best games ive played on my xbox,lots of love for it here on this thread aswell which is nice.
i only hope hes been down the gym and can run more than 15 meters with out getting all out of breath this time.
only kidding , his fittness levels made the first soooo tense.wouldnt change it for quids. |

@11, you are better off buying it new, first of all like #18 said, Remedy will get some money out of it and secondly, new copies come with a DLC code for the first Special Episode.

| oh man. my xbox friend is going to be happy about this. he loves alan wake. i havn't gotting it yet waiting until it about $10 so i can get it. unless i ask for it for christmas this year but i still have about 230 games on my christmas list. so don't know yet. |

| Really enjoyed the first game and i agree with most people that it was one of the most underrated games of last year and after playing it and the dlcs i would have to say Alan Wake is one of my favorite xbox 360 games. Story was great and the way Remedy went about it was amazing and new as i liked the whole light combat idea. The only negative i could say about this game is that they could have done a little better job on the lip synching but its so minor that it didn't take away from the game at all. Alan Wake 2 would be a day 1 buy for me! COME ON REMEDY DON'T LET US DOWN. |

| Awesome news indeed, can't wait until Alan Wake 2 comes out. I really loved the first one, but hopefully Alan will be able to run just a little further than he did in the first. I have just "The Writer" DLC to get and finish, then I'll have AW all finished. Hopefully the sequel will exceed all expectations the first has set. |

| So many fond memories of playing Alan Wake. Warm summer nights, lights off, volume loud, just one episode at a time. One of the few video games that spooked me since Resident Evil 3. Really looking forward to having a similar experience with the sequel. Plus I always felt like the final DLC didn't really resolve all the issues between Alan and the darkness. |

| Oh god please let there be a second game. The first one I fell in love. Played it only at night with it loud got all the achievements easily even Nightmare ones. Did all the add ons and then bragged to my friend which made him mad since I knew more about the game when really he owned it and I just borrowed it from him. XD |

Really wanted to buy Alan Wake when it came out, then one of my mates bought it so I borrowed his.

| I recently picked up Alan Wake for around 10 bucks on ebay. I only had a chance to play the beginning so far but it's a really unique game. I'll have to put time aside to finish it before the sequel comes out. Shouldn't be hard considering how long it took to make the first lol. |

Far from the best game ever, ever since I saw the teaser and people chanting about how 'unique' it is I knew I had played it before, and I had. Alone in the dark did everything better than Alan wake, just Alan wake was a lot smoother and better graphics but that's not what games should be about (deadly premonition).
Alan Wake didn't really have a good story, it tried too much to have plot twists that it just ended up with huge holes, if number 2 is released it can only go a handful of ways....

He meets up with his wife, he remains trapped forever or some random bs that is just pish.
*end spoiler*
With many comments being about red dead becoming the reason it didn't sell so well, you need to think about it logically, if I've only got 50£ I'm only going to buy the best game, which, red dead is. If Alan wake was released 4month prior or after would it have sold better? Probably not, reason is because it's a new IP.
Not to say alan wake wasn't fun, I did enjoy it but not to the extent of a day one purchase, after all there's only so long I can go through the same forest sprinting for 10 yards before having to breath through an inhaler.
This game is far from underrated and gets the recognition it deserved, average. |

| I enjoyed Alan Wake a lot having bought DL code for $10 on ebay:-P Don't hate, I was busy with other games earlier. Main game was a masterpiece in it's own right, but DLC episodes were more twisted than Twin Peaks and hardly made any sense to me. (Maybe I dumb, but w/e). Having said that if they can make it tick with sequel I am all up for it! |

| oh yes i hope this is true i loved this game cause it was awesome for one and cause it didn't ruin my last name witch creepy enough is wake..... and im not joking either.. but yeah cant wait for this def a day one buy the story is what keeped me going and to this day i still have the game and on occasion i pop it in and start up another play through.. so now all i need to come true is mirrors edge 2, witch is another underrated game, and imo def best game of '08. prototype would be second and gears was second but after all the updates making the game go to hell.. but yeah cant wait im gonna go crazy when this is official. and if me2 is officially announced i think my head is gonna go nuclear. |
