When I was a wee child in school in the 90s, I had aspirations to be one of three things in life: 1. An astronaut... I mean, come on, everyone wants to be an astronaut, right?; 2. A lawyer... I liked to argue as a child and this seemed like the most relevant career; and finally, 3. The Ultimate Warrior... It took years of counselling before I grasped that The Ultimate Warrior wasn't a career choice and was in fact just a living legend in the world of WWF, but by that time, I had long wavy hair and some of the worse psychedelic fashion sense in the history of the human race, so the damage was already done. I then had to get my jollies off on watching the man rip everyone apart, week in, week out and when he retired from the WWF in the 90s, it was one of the saddest days of that respective weekend. Thanks to THQ, he's back and so is their arcadey-style wrestling game, this time in the form of WWE All Stars. The question remains though, is WWE All Stars a worthy platform for the Ultimate Warrior or should he have stayed retired like the rest of the classic stars the game houses? | |
