amazon usually does world wide pre order bonuses, and gamestop and Game usually get same stuff
only concern is that all these stores will offer different pre order bonuses, i hate it when i only want to buy 1 copy of the game but there are essentially 5 different version or pre order bonuses out there |

| not a big fan of the challenge maps, and i sucked at the fighting anyway (that final boss fight in the first game made me break a joypad), so big fat meh to those 2 pre-order bonuses from me, i'll get the game where ever it's cheapest. |

@8. I totally agree with that. It sucks how we miss out on certain content just because we don't pre-order from a certain store.
I got the Arkham Asylum collectors edition and I'm ashamed to say I was disappointed. Of course the game was epic! But that's about it. Even the collectible batarang (ugh!) looked like something a high schooler made in woodshop class. It was shit! Hardly something worthy of collecting.
I don't normally buy collectors editions, because most the time they're disappointing. Here's hoping Arkham City offers something special and fresh! |

| I agree with you #8, but the problem with that is stores and there idea for you to buy it from them is to give special content..I don't like it either trust me, but for the business standpoint, I see why they do it..that or most people wait for a "Game of the Year" edition to get all of it but it isn't fair I agree |

| I would think a nice preorder bonus would be (another) re-release of The Killing Joke along with it. I'd gladly shell out the dough even though I have the original and the re-release. I would be enticed to more comic-games if they offered an official comic or graphic novel. It wasn't any means fantastical but I enjoyed the Darksiders mini-GN that came with it. |

Meh I've already been told by my local games shop that it's been confirmed the UK will be getting a special collectors edition with some pretty awesome stuff inside it, no one knows what it's gonna come with.
Some awesome rumours going round though, things such as a Joker bust and playing cards etc. |

| @ 28 - I've always looked at them like a loyalty bonus in a way. Those who are dedicated get a small reward. The bonus incentives aren't generally anything that give you the balls to the walls edge in the game or anything anyway. Most of the time it's something like a figure, piece of concept art, booklet, etc. Even so, I enjoy games for what they are and base my opinion and such on the game itself. Not an incentive. As I said, it's not that integral so why bother getting bothered? I've played many games where I couldn't preorder or bought it a month later and still enjoyed 'em just as much. |

| @ DocoPopodop - I thought that Joker exclusive was weak sauce. My buddy got it and I didn't see the big draw aside from the overzealous Joker hype from Ledgers death. He was good but after the passing, I still hold Nicholson in higher regards. THey both brought 2 integral parts of the Joker to the table but in retrospect, Jack hit both nails on the head with display visually and vocally. Back on game point, I dunno...Joker (except for animated stuff b/c you gotta keep the kiddies tuned in) never struck me as an acrobatic type and seeing him in Challenge rooms like so just didn't stick well. And the gun thing was just cliche. This was Batmans big game comeback and while I praise Hamil for his pristine vocal work as the Joker, it was still The Dark Knights return and he should've gotten 110% of the glory. Just my thought though. But then again, you love me for me and I like you for cheeseburgers. Nooch. |

If all goes well, this game is gonna be legendary.
I'm really not a fan of preorder bonuses, especially if I end up missing out on a level or something, but for the most part, if I want the bonus, I just hop on Gamestop.com and preorder for no money at all and just go for in-store pickup. Those "give us $5-$10" preorder approaches are bullshit. You can have my money when I have my game.
Okay, now onto the really serious stuff... Games with MULTIPLE preorder bonuses that are unique or exclusive to certain retailers is absolute mother fucking bullshit. I shouldn't have to scour ebay or call a store and lie about not getting my code (:P) just to appease my OCD and get the complete product. I was so upset about how ME2 did it (and most of those items STILL haven't made it into premium content packs), thank God that MS fucked up and had them all available for free, completely unprotected. They fixed it, but I'm an insomniac, so I saw a thread about it, grabbed all of the urls and posted them shits in as fast as I could. I felt quite good about that. RDR had multiple bonuses, too, but thankfully most of them were stupid and/or extraneous to me. I just got my Deadly Assassin outfit which is damn sexy... On JOHN Marston.. Implied spoiler alert.
Oh and it's a good thing I preordered Dead Space 2 in time to get that rivet gun..... /supreme sarcasm. That is one of the single most useless weapons I've seen in a game in a loooong time. |

| @ 39 - LOL That rivet gun was a joke wasn't it??? I was pissed I couldn't even sell it for credits in the game. The Zealot stuff was more than worth it as well as the Hacker Suit and Contact Beam from beating the XBLA game. Again, free in game stuff is always great. Was also stoked that the Zealot suit transfers to the Severed DLC while the rest doesn't. Helped a lot on Zealot mode for that but was still miffed I couldn't start with New Game+. Zealot on Severed has to be done from scratch. |
