Looking forward to the Beta.
Also, I got 2 extra set of Gears of War 3 Beta codes if anyon is looking to get them. No skin of my teeth - I got 3 of them for free from my local video store, so I didn't have to buy Bulletstorm. |

Lol I totally disagree #10 and I imagine all the Gears fans will too. This looks like the most refined Gears MP yet. I will admit I never really played MP in either of the first 2 Gears games as I felt they were rather average and laggy.
This on the other hand looks a lot better and the inclusion of Team Deathmatch is very very welcomed by me and probably quite a few people that would have been on the fence. Maybe now I have a chance to get decent at this game. |

| Nice video, but they need to stop teasing us with videos about the beta even tho the days have been going by so quickly. They need to just tell us what day we are able to start playing. I guess i'll continue playing Bulletstorm anyone else with me.... Probably not |

Alot of information there which is good. I do really want to know how to enter the Beta via the other options, not just BulletStorm. For all us skint people who cant afford BulletStorm yet lol it would be useful to know.
The one thing I keep seeing in these game play videos, the almost "tac-com" voew which shows you both the team mates and enemy with a blue and red outline of their characters. Im wondering is this a perk type thing or will every player have this? Im not sure its a good thing. I like the hide and seek aspect of the gears games, so will have to see in the beta what it actually is.
Anyone else think the same?? |

Gears of War 3 looks amazing, and I can see from that information alone its going to be a winner, however Rod mentions the best way to get in on the beta is Bulletstorm, and I think thats a bit unfair for people who mightn't like or bought the game.
I like some of you were persuaded all that much more to grab Bulletstorm because of this beta, while I thought I was happy with the game it was just to short (even on very hard) and with no real competitive multiplayer, the same levels for ECHO mode and gameplay gets somewhat tedious after a while to keep it for a beta.
I really would LOVE that flaming lancer but I can't justify keeping an expensive game for a beta, so I'll be missing the lancer unfortunately. I just hope I can get in on the action. |

@19 This "new" tac com is for the leader in the new Guardian. Only the leader has the ability to see the weapon outlines and the enemies. Rod stated this in the GameSpot interview. |

Sounds like I'm gonna have to get through a lot of games though to get that Cole Train.
I probably won't use it in GoW3 but I must have it anyway. You just know everyone in the beta will be using it. |

You need to have a gamesave from Bulletstorm on your console along with the redeem code to access the beta that was the point of adding it to Bulletstorm and stopping people from selling it on fleabay.
Beta will become available to people after a set time but there is a still unknown catch and it is not going out on general release |

| Just to clear up a point...you CAN use a Beta code without purchasing the Epic Ed BulletStorm. Yes, you need a Bstorm disc/ save, but there are plenty of ways to have a disc without dropping $60 (Gamefly, rental store, used copy, etc). I really don't know why you need a save, but you definitely need the disc (like ODST), as the GOW3 Beta is on the menu. |

| The Epic code is what people are talking about, and what I said can be used with ANY Bstorm disc...if you can acquire a code, then rent or borrow the disc, you can get in the Beta. For example, I purchased Bstorm, and got a 2nd copy from GF (disc only)...I have one code, but am in the Beta/ activated online pass/ have exclusive content on both 360s. My point is that a code is not worthless, and that generous people should be thanked, rather than criticized. |

| @38, Bulletstorm Epic Edition owners will have access to the beta just a little sooner than everyone else, you will be able to get into the beta via other methods but Epic have not detailed those yet, the Epic Edition early access customers simply get to play it slightly earlier and will also have the flaming lancer unlockable for use in the final game as well. |

CONFIRMED...there will be at least one way to get an access code without Bulletstorm. Microsoft ExpertZone members will get GOW 3 Beta codes by completing the Gears missions and VERIFYING your employment (guess they learned their lesson after the Reach fiasco!)
Limited time offer good only to legal residents of the 50 US or DC age 18+, who are employed in a retail sales or support role at any Microsoft Retail Sales Partner authorized to participate in the U.S. Microsoft ExpertZone program (each, an "RSP"). You must verify your employment to participate.

| I keep hearing rumors about a GOW 3 limited edition Xbox 360 console like they did for Halo Reach. Anyone else hearing the same rumors. It would make sense since this appears to be MS' big holiday exclusive and this could be a big console mover. If the rumors are true, I hope it is cool looking. Would love a good excuse to pick up another Xbox 360 slim. |

| I also hope they have a special gow 3 console, i bought the modern warfare 2 xbox but really want to upgrade to a slim. Im sure ill catch heat for this but i loved gears 1, I played it every night and reached the top 75 all time in annex, but when gears 2 came out i was disappointed, probably because it was so different from gears 1 and seemed too nub friendly. I constantly find myself running into people who were completely horrible in gears 1 and are now amazing in 2. All of my friends are saying the same thing about playing as much gow 2 as possible to be ready for 3 but i myself have been going back and forth from 1 to 2 hopping that a lot of gears 1 is brought to # 3. Does anyone else hope its more gears 1 or gears 2, or even a complete change like it was from 1 to 2. |
