I presumed that September would be the release date as M$ prefers that month over any other.

| @5, Yeah, because as we all know, GOW1 was such a treasure in our hearts, and GOW2 was such a radical change from the first game, so it makes sense why you would think the 1st one is the best, because it's completely different from the 2nd. |

| @11, The online multiplayer in Gears of War 1 was the best hands down. They destroyed the multiplayer in Gears 2. Any real Gears fan will tell you the same. Gears 2 and probably Gears 3 are for noobs. It took skill to play Gears 1. |

"Real fan" LOL I like that. Gears was reason I even bought 360 and played both installments for years. While second one was more evened out due to lag and randomness of things, first one was pretty much for ppl who mastered 2 piece better (myself included). GO and bullshit some more mr #17.
Glad to see this coming out earlier! Hopefully will have enough time to ge tmy fill before Uncharted 3 and Mass Effect 3 come out!! |

@17 gears 1 was a lot smoother than gears 2, but saying gears 2 takes less skill is insane. you can't just go around blindfiring people with the sniper. the sniper actually takes some skill now, which is most likely why you don't like it. Don't get me wrong, i love gears 1, i love wallbouncing, and even the sniper, but Gears 2 is still fun. And if you are a "true gears fan" you would be buying this.
i thought for sure it would be released in November, but i'm more than fine with September |

Funnily enough #20 I've done that before!
But this should be good, if there's one thing Epic deserve credit it for (despite the crappy multiplayer in Gears 2), it is their DLC plan. Gears 1 is outdated and now has free DLC, Gears 2 is getting old and the DLC is dirt cheap. Take note ACTIVISION - YOU CRIMINALS!!
Should be a good end to the year with AC4, Rage, Gears 3, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and of course Saints Row 3!! |

| I think that i am on only person who doesnt like gears of war, i never saw the point of it and probably wont get it. IM sure that it will sell in huge amounts and many(probably all of you) will disgaree with me but i never saw the attraction of gears. The one thing i can be sure of though is that this game may get shooter of the year and judging by the fan base probably will but it WILL NOT get game of the year especially when it is up against elder scrolls. | I'm mainly in it for the final chapter of the campaign. Parameters and abuse of MP in GoW2 is just atrocious and I barely saw any matchmaking fixes. People were still able to milk out objective matches for infinity and milk kills. Ruins the whole experience. Someone in here said Gears 1 took "skills". Yeah, about as much as any other MP game IMO BUT it was better than GoW2 for me. Horde mode holds GoW2 up for me but either way, i'm more interested in seeing what happens to Marcus, Dom and if Sera makes the plunge. I'm actually hoping for a full morbid ending of the planet going down. Would be interesting to see a super sad but victorious ending for once. |

@64 There was a recent interview with Cliffy B. about Bulletstorm and in that interview, they touched on GoW3 and Cliffy said that he dont even know what is happening with Carmine, so i dont know where you read that article!

For the record - Nobody knows what's happening to Carmine. Whoever bought the avatar shirts (I voted to kill him - let him be with his brothers), just supported the surprise whent he game drops. I would be disappointed if it was already confirmed. All that was said was that they raised over 150k for charity but Carmine Lives was outselling. That doesn't mean a huge flux didn't follow it for Die. Check:

| @65 I know that host in Gears 1 did make a bit of a difference (not nearly as much if you have a good connection) but IMO it wasn't nearly as bad as in Gears 2 before numerous patches. Also if you're good at Gears 1 host isn't really that big of a deal. I've been playing a lot of Gears 1 lately and I've been going an average of 8-2 (off host) in first to 5 round matches. |

| @ 75 - Exactly! That or constant perfect reload sniping. The maps were way better IMO and I did like that they imported some of them but as I said, most of the matchmaking in MP was overly abused and there was minimal effort to fix what really needed to be fixed. |

@17 No any REAL gears fan will tell you that if you stuck through it you will notice that Epic fixed everything and the game runs as smooth as ever besides 1 flaw which is the overpowered shotty but any decent player can manage around that. Gears 1 was mostly about Host and stacked teams if you running with 3 friends you always host a lobby there for giving the people who go to your lobby a big disadvantage. Gears 3 will top it all with the Ded Servers so in the end I believe it will be the best in the series.
Also from the looks of your Gears 2 stats you never even gave the game a try really, Failure just failed. |

Sory gears is a boring game, the campain is forgetable, and the multiplayer is one of the worst multiplayers that I have played in a long time. So glad i boosted the entire gears 2 multiplayer. 1-100 in a few days, thank you verry much 12x xp or whatever it was at the time. Oh and Why cant these huge ass guys jump again? |

| @92 It's been known for awhile that female Gears were going to be around. The reasoning for this is because due to the collapse of government the women are no longer just babymaking machines which they were used before, but now it is to fight for survival even more so. It's supposed to make us feel like its the end of the road. |

Yeah Gears 1 was the best! People constantly glitching out of the map and rage quitting was the best! WOOOOOOO GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS WERE THE BEST!!! |
