@1 I agree, keep the cheevs out, and Im glad some of the modders maps, are getting to 360 now (well just).
Theres some awesome stuff on PC, but however good they make it for 360, it wont match the PC version at all. |

| @20 disappointed in the lack of creativity of such a company.they're releasing something they never bothered with themselves.Sure they're releasing the L4D1 campaigns,but those already exsist so they cant be credited for that.Why not release Gary's Mod (since its probably the most famous) or one of the 200 bagillion half life,half life 2,etc mods.Instead of an unfinished mod by someone for L4D1/2 which is a game that became the (argueably cult) classic it is based off its commentary and in game banter between characters.If you're all about promotiong your games/fans mod scene,do it properly Valve.Contests,publications,and the like.Dont turn into all these other companies selling us 80% of a game in a retail package and charging us extra for the rest of the game or for unfinished add ons. |

Really? Really.
Including the other three L4D 1 campaigns? Feels as if people wasted their money on the original game now. Adding nothing to said campaign also feels as if they're taking the half-ass path that their Team Fortress 2 team has with Kill Icons, weapons that don't fix the view models for, and more.
I have faith in Portal 2, but I always feel that with new content for their games these days, they're just turning towards the community and adding nothing to make said content REALLY shine. |

This is a kick in the balls to anyone who spent money on Left 4 Dead.
That's cool that it's all in one place now, but it's like "why do I even have L4D1 now? Why did I spend money on this and bother putting time into it?"
If they are going to add achievements for all the old campaigns, they should be NEW achievements. Not the -same- achievements. That way there's some kind of false incentive so people feel a little less bummed.
Or they should work a way where owners of the original game can get it for free or something, because this is just ridiculous. |

| I knew they'd eventually port the remaining L4D levels over to L4D2. So I'll pick up this DLC just for those. This new campaign is just a bonus. Though I'm not sure I like the idea of no new dialogue or narrative. Regardless, it'll be worth it just for the original levels. |

Interesting, nice to hear a community map will get a 360 release.
But I refuse to ever buy left4dead2. The inclusion of the original campaigns is more proof the the ridiculousness of this sequel. They did good on pulling through and giving DLC for the first game after L4D2 came out, but there was no reason for a sequel to be developed and released in under a year.
I love valve, I just don't like a lot of their decisions as of the past few years. And thats without going into TF2 DLC rants and the nonexistent episode 3. |

| While I'll be sad to see my 100% shmoosed...again...I'll take some more achievements. I'm just not basing my purchase around them. If they have to be patched, Valve will get their job done. Achievements don't take away from the chaotic fun of the game itself unless you stupidly let them lead your drive. I did and my motivation to finish matches slumped due to teammates or tricky AI. After a while, I began just playing for hours on end with friends again and eventually, they popped. DLC is a good way to keep me interested with fresh ideas. |

@ 49 - So seriously? You'd (example) blow 1200 on a map that offers achievements you like (and will only ever get once) instead of a map for 560 that has no achievements but offers multiple playthroughs and longevity?
That's the whole reason I stopped Achievement Whoring. I still love it. Nothing will ever satisfy me more from my Xbox than that awesome "Plink-Plink" sound but i realized I stopped playing games I liked due to that fact. I would be on my PS2 for days on end just having a damn good old time. There were times where if I didn't get an achievement on a level that took 10 minutes - Game off. Ruined my experience. Hope your tune changes b/c I found the dlc for Assassin's Creed 2 opened up more of the story and they had 0 achievements. To each their own though. |

Why do they release an unfinished campaign?
Its not like they are always out to bring stuff as soon as possible and the community is doing the work for them anyway.
It always the same:
Valve brings out broken stuff. The community says: Fix this crap Valve says: MS wont let us or takes too long to approve the patch.
Thats what I hate about Valve: The rely too much on being able to finish their stuff with downloads.
Patches used to be to fix bugs that hadn't been found in a lot of months betatesting but nowadays its just: Throw that shit out and grab the money now, if it sells well we can complete it with Patches and DLC if not than it isn't worth it anyway.
If you take a look at The Sacrifice and this time I don't mean the glitched ach, just when u got it for L4D2 and you were playing on a dedicated server you were falling through platforms and shit and were not able to finish the campaign. That is the shit I mean. There is no way in hell they'd beta tested it and didn't notice that.
L4D is awesome but everything that came after the survival pack was an absolute mess and that felt that it really should have been in the game in first place.
Hell I even think L4D2 shouldn't have been released the way it is now. |

valve make great games but as a company they suck
this DLC will probably be the last valve product i ever buy
they might be great if you game on a pc if your a console player then they are beyond shit with the broken unfinished products coming out and a dont worrry we will fix it later attitude, or are so broken you cant even play them on the official server
i really dont care for the porting over of more old maps and a map a pc modder developed.Valve have been so lazy with this dlc and i am so unimpressed with there marketing stratagy

| For those of you who don't know or didn't know.. Valve said that Cold Stream would be out on Halloween night.. With it being well past the time as they said it would be soon over and over again why are we waiting from the look's of it, it wont be out until next year. I've had MSP every weekend waiting for this DLC but now I would rather say POS (Piece Of Shit) it would be nice if we had something to look forward to instead on just blog update's that don't even mention anything about Cold Stream.. They just ask stupid thing's like would we play the game mode.. And in the Game Informer "Portal 2" addition Valve stated that left 4 dead 3 & left 4 dead 4 would be out the same day. Why are we looking forward to anything? Left 4 dead is so far behind that I gave up I have 1500 both Left 4 Dead game's. I love left 4 dead but would like to not have to wait for this anymore.
