GDC 2008: Ninja Gaiden 2 Release Date Announced!

GDC 2008: Ninja Gaiden 2 Release Date Announced!
Written Wednesday, February 20, 2008 by Jason Debelyak

This morning at GDC, Team Ninja and executive director Tomonobu Itagaki showed off a demo of the anticipated Ninja Gaiden 2. In the demo, they showed Ryu fighting off demons with different weapons and spells. Another key announcement made during the keynote was that, like Halo 3, players will have the opportunity to capture videos of their kills in order to share with their friends online.

One thing that we have said many times, and it was proven even more today, this game is going to be bloody! Limbs and blood were flying all over the screen during the hands-on demo. The final point Itagaki made was that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be remaining an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Before leaving the stage, he announced that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be hitting North American shelves on June 3, 2008, with the other regions getting the game before the end of the month.

Can't wait to take a look at the achievements. One of the few games with real potential for difficult, challenging skill based achievements.

Wow--it looks awesome! It'll probably be unforgivingly hard, and as little fun to play as the last entry, but for those of you what care, this'll be supermodel panty heaven.

2008 just got a hell of a whole lot better. Ninja Gaiden 2 and Gears of War 2. Can't wait for both. Be prepared for some super tough achievements for ninja gaiden though. Probably on par with DMC4.

What are you talking about buck wyyld? I had a lot of fun playing the last one. Can't wait for this one. Hopefully, the achievements for it aren't going to be impossible.

come one guys we ALL know the achievenments are going to take it to a whole nother level. i see you getting 5-10 points for beating on Ninja Dog(easy diff). but knowing team ninja, you'll most likely get 0 for it. because when it comes to ninjas go big or go home

Poll

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
