Warriors: Legends of Troy

In Warriors: Legends of Troy, you'll be able to play out the Trojan War from the perspective of either the Greeks or the Trojans with two separate storylines for each. It's like Wolfgang Petersen's epic Troy movie, except you bash buttons like Y or X rather than fast forward or stop.

Boasting a combat system for long and short range attacks, you'll step into the sandals of warriors like Achilles (watch out for his heel), Ajax and Odysseus for the Greeks or Aeneas, Hector and Paris for the Trojans. Warriors: Legends of Troy is also set to feature support for 4-player co-op and competitive multiplayer.

Legends of Troy is influenced by Homer's (not that one) poem 'The Illiad', but will also incorporate a range of mythological elements, meaning you'll take on mythical creatures from Greek and Trojan folklore in what looks to be an array of sandy/rocky arenas - based on the real locations, apparently - if these 41 new screens showing the 'Blood' and 'Conquest' modes are any kind of indication.

Warriors: Legends of Troy sails into stores on March 8th in North America and Macrh 25th in Europe.

Looks like another low budget Dynasty Warriors clone, but we'll have to wait and see.

@2: "Kleos (Greek: κλέος) is the Greek word often translated to "renown", or "glory". It is related to the word "to hear" and carries the implied meaning of "what others hear about you". A Greek hero earns kleos through accomplishing great deeds, often through his own death."

at least it's something 'almost' completely different.

if it includes 300 re-enactment which is better than the official ones, i may be sold.

too bad it's made by koei. They haven't made a good game since Dynasty Warriors 4. Now they just rehash games over and over. This is the kind of developer that i'm surprised still exists. Hopefully it's not the same as they're samurai/dynasty games.

Dynasty Warrrios is an awesome series, even if it's a bit stale at this stage, so a greek mythological clone is a good thing imo. A rent at least.

Reminds me of Rise of the Argonauts. Hopefully they don't put any MP achievements in this game. This game is so far under the radar that I bet the MP will be dead within weeks of release.

I'm not one to usually turn down a game because of the graphics but these look seriously dated, seems like it would be better as a downloadable game on the arcade. Would much rather they took their time on a dynasty warriors game

If it's good, I hope they go onto a game version of the Odyssy aswell.

@ 2 it literally means an account of your actions. Greeks believed you needed honour and glory to be immortal

The thing is, I'll probably end up getting this. All of Koei (Well, I don't really count Gundam 1/2) games like this are always worth it (To me) for the amount of time you can spend playing them. That and co-op always gets my woman to play with me. She actually got ME to work on 1000/1000 Dynasty Warriors 6 just because she liked killing people.

@8 it also looks like the same person has an arrow through his head, it may just be me though lol. That chessboard couldn't save him that time.

Might get it haven't decided yet. If I do it's because I've been a fan of ancient Greece, Rome, Troy and Sparta since the 4th grade so that like 20 years give or take and now I'll probably read some Homer and maybe Plato. You know they should put books on the 360 too. Then I wouldn't ever have any reason to turn it off.

i liked dynasty warriors abit and i lkoved spartan total warrior on ps2, but i think that this game will be overshadowed by dragon age 2 and lord of the ring war in the north, badly choisen release date and i probably wont buy unless i get bored in summer.
