What's On Xbox Live For The First Half Of February

With House Party gearing up to kick off from February 16th, there's a host of XBLA games coming your way, starting with Contra prequel “Hard Corps: Uprising", then continuing with “Full House Poker”, “Beyond Good & Evil HD”, “Bejeweled Blitz Live” and “Torchlight” in the subsequent weeks.

There will also be a bunch of related Avatar apparel to coincide with the release of all the House Party games on XBLA, so you can deck your XBL Avatar out in Hard Corps, Beyond Good & Evil, Full House Poker, Bejeweled Blitz and Torchlight items, if you so wish. And why wouldn't you?

In addition to the Xbox Live House Party in two weeks' time, there's also another two high profile XBLA releases lined up for next week, as TNT Racers and Double Fine's Stacking hit the Arcade on February 9th. And (and!) there's the usual array of deals, add-ons and other gubbins to take a look at, starting from next week. Check out the full list of content coming to Xbox Live, which should see you through the best part of the month ahead. Booyah!

	There's one final proper Mass Effect 2 DLC to come, on top of the skins pack. As for this set of releases, I'm definitely interested in Duke Nukem, and I'll trial Beyond Good and Evil and Torchlight. Heard good things about BGE, but I missed the original release, despite having both a GameCube and an Xbox. Avatar tat can go jump. Not paying for that crap. Avatar awards I'll use, but I'm not wasting my money. Already got both Serious Sams and Geometry Wars 2, else I'd have them. Bejeweled Blitz I'll probably wait for a DotW, as I already have Bejeweled 2 on the 360 and Bejewled 3 on the PC.

	I implore everyone to at least trial Galaga Legions. I picked it up last time it went on sale and that was one of the best decisions I've made. The game is absolutely brilliant. I cannot wait for Galaga Legions DX. In regards to the other content being released/put on sale, I will check out Beyond Good & Evil and Torchlight, to see what the fuss is about. Also, will probably pick up Space Invaders and Serious Sam.

	About Mass Effect. If i'm wrong, may the greatest ME fan, Webb, ban me now. Mass Effect 2 WILL get more gamerscore, along with more DLC. Not only one, either. Along with the cruddy "WEAPONZ?!" and costume packs, there is a smaller DLC that should be announced fairly soon. Rumor was that it was to be free, but I HIGHLY doubt that. Later in the year, the bigger DLC will be released to set the plot for ME3. From what I understand, neither will use the Cerberus Network that came with new copies of the game, so prepare those credit cards. On topic with Walker's post? Darksiders and Torchlight...yum.

	Remember last year EA, or was it Bioware, said something about 'far reaching plans' for Mass Effect 2 in the first quarter of the year? I'm hoping we'll be seeing something great next month and not another ugly appearance pack.

	Prior to this post I hadn't even heard of the Serious Sam series, but that's probably due to not being a big fan of FPS games in general. Downloaded the demo and now I'm hooked. Will definitely be getting both of these games as they're a steal for 67% off.
