Dragon Age II Demo Confirmed For February 22nd

A portion of Dragon Age II's epic tale is set to make its way onto the Xbox Live Marketplace as a demo later this month, as you get to sample all three of the game's character classes, to see whether the life of a mage, warrior or rogue is for you. Chances are you'll already know which one to plump for if you played through Dragon Age: Origins.

Once you've beaten the prologue section, you'll be thrown forward to Kirkwall, where you'll meet Isabella, a deadly smuggler and one of the game's love interests. You'll get a real taste of the game's brutal combat, which has been tightened up and made more fluid and accessible for Dragon Age newcomers.

What's more, you'll also be able to unlock a new weapon through playing the Dragon Age II demo, known as Hayder's Razor, which isn't a shaving implement, but an ancient dwarven blade that boosts your health, mana and combat abilities for the full version of the game.

Dragon Age II is due for release on March 8th in North America and March 11th in Europe. Look out for the demo on Xbox Live from February 22nd.

	Warrior until I get used to the game, and get back into the swing of things and go for the mage. Dislike the Rogues. Can't wait for this game!

	I like the incentive of a weapon unlockable via playing the demo. It's not as though I wouldn't have downloaded the demo regardless, but still, it's a neat way to get people even more interested in Dragon Age 2. Just 100%'d the first game a few days ago so I'm pretty juiced for DA2. Love ya, Bioware.

	Magic in the series is extremely interesting, and now that combat seems to flow better I can only hope I finish DA:O before March.

	I've been anxious about how the combat is going to work. This trailer will definitely give me closure going into the game as to how they've altered the combat. I've pre-ordered the game, so I have money invested in this game... I trust BioWare though. My first game I played from them was KOTOR and they've yet to disappoint me.

	Will I need to keep the Demo on my Harddrive until the game comes out to gain the Weapon, or will simply downloading/completing it give it to me?

	Heh another unlockable item for dragon age 2. Lets recap.. Signature edition bonus items Pre-order bonus items Demo bonus item Dead space 2 bonus item 5 dragon age legends unlockable items bioware newsletter bonus item ea newsletter bonus item penny arcade bonus item Have i missed any? I wonder if Hawk will actually have enough room in his pack to carry all these bonus items! I'm not complaining, but i really hope bioware doesn't do the same for Mass Effect 3

	Woot can't wait! Definitely needed with the combat changes theyve gone on and on about which looks to be much more my taste than Origins. Hopefully it played the way it looks it does, then i'll be happy that I've preordered Signature Edition already lol

	Awsome! I love Bioware and EA. I was going to play the demo even though I have already preordered and know its going to be a great game, but now I get an in game item as well.

	Need to find out how they've changed combat. I much prefer straight up hack and slash than the modified KotOR system from the first game, to be honest. We shall see though.

	@7... dude did you even try rogues in DA:O? They were the best class character. I beat the game with ever single type of character and my rogue playthrough was the funnest.
