Marvel vs. Capcom 3's Complete Roster Leaked On Twitter?

If you don't want to know the details of the rest of Marvel vs. Capcom 3's fighters, look away now. They've been leaked via Twitter, where klennox22 - whose Twitter account has subsequently been deleted - revealed Capcom's DLC plans for the game, as well as the rest of the roster and news that Dead Rising's Frank West - a much-demanded fan favourite - has been omitted from the final character selection.

Fighting game site, Shoryuken took down an archive of all the tweets prior to the offending Twitter account being erased, with relations that Frank West was set to be in the game, but was "pulled about two months prior, and there was no time to add a new character in his place. Capcom had to make the decision to pull a Marvel character to even the roster out," wrote the source, who supposedly works close to Capcom, but does not actually work for them.

That removed Marvel character was Shuma Gorath, who is now to be offered as DLC, alongside Jill Valentine. Haggar is also revealed as one of the remaining characters to join the roster, whose counterpart was going to be Juggernaut. Instead however, the other five characters are Phoenix and the Sentinel from X-Men, and Avengers antagonist, Taskmaster on the Marvel side. On the Capcom side, the source also claims that Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers and Akuma from Street Fighter will join Haggar.

Apparently, the planet devouring Fantastic Four bad guy Galactus will also be the game's final boss. This leak also seems genuine as one of the tweets successfully predicted the arrival of an exclusive trailer on GameSpot: "Episode 3 trailer finally coming VERY soon. Sooner than you might think! #mvc3" Check out the trailer via the link.

Of course, anyone could create a Twitter account and just make stuff up, but that last tweet being right on the money makes us suspicious that the leak could be a bona fide source. That said, take this all with a pinch of salt until Capcom step in with an official confirmation.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is out in February 2011.

Very fitting for Galactus to be the final boss in a game called "Fate of Two Worlds". I'm going to give my best guess that he is going to try to devour not one... but TWO worlds!

There never was a screenshot of the roster. Only tweets that listed the roster and facts about the game, all of which are actually on Shoryuken if you followed the link. Try reading next time

I was really hoping for Howard the Duck and a Ryu from the Breath of Fire series. As for Frank West I can see him getting the dlc treatment. No matter who is or isn't in the game at this point doesn't matter it is a must buy!!

It's *incredibly* shocking that Mega Man has been left out of the roster if this is true.

Sentinel will be fun at least; hated using him in MvC2, but in Children of the Atom it was pretty broken. Hopefully they take a tip or two from that arcade classic.

Galatus being a final boss sounds pretty badass as well. I smell a Silver Surfer cameo in quite a few endings!

I don't know, I am kinda glad that some of the old characters were dropped to make room for new ones. Makes it more interesting and less of of a "Reboot with new graphics"

I am all for new characters. Haggar would be awesome imo.

I wonder if Reality Pump and Southpeak are gonna sue Marvel for having "Two Worlds" in the title. Seems to be a trend.

OT: I'll rent this but I'm more excited for Mortal Kombat personally.

This sounds pretty weird. Granted, I don't know most of those characters that got in. But I am sorely disappointed with some of the ones left out.

@#24 - Did you ever see Tatsunoko vs. Capcom? He was kinda like Jill in MvC2.

Hagger? Day one purchase. Sad that it takes a novelty game to bring back Haggar, when people have been begging Capcom to just put him in the mainstream games. Haggar should have been DLC in SSF4, if not included from the start.

As much as I'm psyched for this game and can't stand Akuma users, why the hell would they make him a DLC? Being a big Haggar fan I am glad he is coming but then it will be an American version of Zangief which was a take on Haggar anyways.

As said above, if this is true, I'm disappointed. I'm tired of Akuma being overrated and used too much. Sure he is cool and all, but he is just a Ryu rip off in the long run, and so many other characters could have been in placed in the game instead of him. From the Marvel side, I'm disappointed in Sentinel as he was so annoying in MvC2. Hearing rocket punch constantly is just as annoying as hearing "Tiger" in SFIV. The other four are pretty decent choices, though. With the 30+ characters, I was only disappointed with about 4 or 5, so this is still a buy. Street Fighter X Tekken is the fighter I can't wait for though.

So no Frank West but we get the Sentinel and Akuma? FUUUUUUCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!
I don't need to explain myself about the Sentinel but AKUMA??!! really? That dude is soooo overrated. He is just a copy and paste version of Ryu and Ken except he can throw fireballs diagonally in the air and has less health then Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones.

The news about Haggar, Hsien-Ko, and Taskmaker makes me very happy though.

If you read the twitter account, Frank West was finished and supposed to be in the game, but his zombies caused lag when played online. Don't hold your breath if you're waiting to see him as DLC.
