| Bayonetta was pretty good in my opinion. But i much prefere Devil May Cry and Dantes Inferno.....hopeing for somthing new. |

| It would be awesome if there was a sequel to bayonetta, i loved it. The game was amazing great fun to play and the combos were cool. Just ordered Vanquish can't wait for it to come but im sure it will be good. You never know they will prob make a sequel for both games |

I cant decide if I would want a new IP or a sequel. Probably a new IP, just to see something completely new from them.
Either way I can only assume I'll be buying it, like all their other games. |

@9 Mad World for the Wii and Infinate Space for the DS. Both great games, but Bayonetta is their true masterpiece. Mikami did well with Vanquish but could'nt really cath the greatness of Resident Evil 4 or God Hand.
Can't wait for a nw game. As much as I like Bayonetta, I want a new IP. |

i REALLY REALLY wish they would Make a Shenmue 3 because that game was the best RPG/Adventure/Action game for Sega Dreamcast, and Xbox. So why wouldnt they make a new and very improved one? they could do wayyyyyy much more with it now. and if they do make one, i really hope they dont try and Throw in Multiplayer cause that will totally ruin the game for what it is known for.
or even a new Jet Set Radio Future, cause that is a very good game as well, also they could really improve it and Multiplayer might actually be pretty sweet on a game like that.
i guess only time will tell though. hopefully its a good game haha i got my hopes too high for those other two i just said i think.. |

It'd be kind of hard to make a second part to Dante's Inferno. :)
That being said, I also preferred Devil May Cry buuut...I'd much rather go pick up Bayonetta 2 than go support the gutting of Dante. Pissed off far more people than they pulled in with that call. |

| HOPE it's not a sequel. They're on a role with new IPs! I do hope it returns to a mote arcade-y approach, much like MadWorld which is my favorite game of theirs. |

I'm hoping for Bayonetta 2... Bayonetta was one of the best games I played so far. Not many might agree with me, but it totally matched my taste. Really good gameplay, really good graphics, nice unlockables, over the top action... *eheum*
Anyway... Bayonetta 2 would be a Preorder Game for me... like "before day 1 purchase". |

| I'm about half way through Bayonetta, and, while the combat is good, the game is just too strange for me. The music is by far the most annoying I've ever heard, the cutscenes with crappy, sexual jokes are a chore to watch and are plain stupid. Gameplaywise the game is fine, but other than than, just no... imo of course. |

| #33 yeah thats a Capcom game. Havent played Bayonetta yet, never been a big fan of that kind of gameplay, but seeing as its like a £5 now I may pick it up. But I doubt it will have anything to do with Vanquish. That is too recent a release. Id quite like to see a new series atogether tbh. Be good to see somthing new. |

Dante's Inferno is actually based on a three part 'story' i guess you could say. The game is based on the first part.

OMG what's with the dmc and dante's inferno remarks. Platinum games and Sega have nothing to do with capcom and Dante's Inferno is from visceral games and EA.

| Bayonetta and Vanquish are the AWESOME games. so anyways, its a Bayonetta sequel but with the other chick in it...NOT Bayonetta herself, which i think is a HUGE, i repeat, HUGE mistake ! as for Vanquish....thanks for making challenge 6 the most deathly achievement in history. so Platinum.... how bout a 2X damage weekend so i can finish this freakin game off? As for agreeing with Sega again...HUGE, I repeat, HUGE mistake. Sega does absolutely NOTHING to advertise these great games. For once i will say, Platinum should go join the super publishers and hit up Activision or EA. Get your bank Platinum... you deserve it ! |

seems to be a misconception for a select few here. Sega doesn't make any of these games, they just publish them. They print copies out and sell them to retailers, Platinum makes the games.

| Bayonetta could have been a great game but the too many cut scenes interfere with the natural play of the game and are designed to hurt your scoring by turning plats into silvers and such. The scoring does not reward quick and efficent kills. There is also the matter that this game plays much, much better on PS3 than on XBox and the difference is more than astounding. Too much of the game involves getting into position to attack hard to reach bosses and repeats gaming patterns. This happens over and over and the last boss has a cheesy move that will suck out all of your life unless you avoid it. |

Bayonetta definitely deserves a sequel. IMO the fighting was way smoother and deeper than DMC.
Also @48 wtf are you talking about? It's pretty common knowledge that the Xbox version has less screen tearing than the PS3 counterpart. And complaining about cut scenes which you can easily skip? The more of your post I read, the more I hope you forget this site exists and don't return.
