We're assuming that you'll be able to switch off Mindjack's so-called 'instant multiplayer' or playing through single-player could be a bit of a grind. Essentially, instant multiplayer seems to mean that a single-player game can seamlessly transform into a game of multiplayer if you're invaded by a rival hacker.

This means that an opposing team of red digital wanderer clouds can begin jacking into the brains of anyone in the area and start a battle between red and blue coloured hackers. Meanwhile, the white host wanderer is able to drift around creating 'mindslaves', which turns targets into AI-controlled allies.

It's certainly an interesting concept and the idea of a seamlessly integrated single-player and multiplayer experience could work in Mindjack's favour. But as ever, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and all that. We'll reserve judgement until January 21st, 2011 when Mindjack hacks into consoles. Check out the new multiplayer trailer for more.
