| I can't wait for new DoWII add on next year!!! This looks good too, but I find it funny how they are using same engine to make 3rd person game that they used to create RTS (Second best looking strategy game ever - after Starcraft2;-)) |

@9... there is no PC version... unless you mean dawn of war with is PC ONLY RTS This is a totaly new game thats a 3rd person shooter/melee brawler with no snap cover system like gears etc your a Genetic engineered super solider with 2tons of advanced power armour..you are the cover xD Bit of random info as someone mentioned Starcraft. Warhammer 49k (the table top game) was out BEFORE starcraft :P the marines and to a degree the Zerg in starcraft were based off warhammer 40k Space marines/tyrinids confirmed by an interview many years ago I feel old :( |

@10 Sorry to tell you, but PC players are getting Space Marines. The game is listed on Steam. I have to say that the game is shaping up pretty nicely even with the Space Marine chapter they have chosen for the story. |

I can't believe that I am double posting but: @6 Do you honestly think Starcraft 2 is the best looking RTS?? - - |

| From the ones I've played, yes! True, I have not played many, but all the major ones, for sure. And while I don't like SC2 as much as I like DoW2 I think it has best graphics out there. |

@12 He didn't say that there will be no PC version of this game, he was responding to the comment that asked if this game was like the PC version, and the game right now on the PC is an RTS, not a 3rd Person Shooter. So, no, it's not similar to the PC version, but yes, there will be a PC version. OT: Can't wait, I'm a huge Warhammer 40k fan!!! |

| @13: Have you played StarCraft II on all settings set on Ultra? If you have, you would know that it is the best looking RTS available right now on any system/platform. |

@15 Errrr. Yeah, he did say there isn't a PC version. "... there is no PC version... " @16 Yeah, Starcraft 2 had really good looking cutscenes but gameplay-graphic wise it really falls flat. |

@16 (again) Empire: Total War, Company of Heroes, Sins of a Solar Empire are all better looking than Starcraft 2 and I haven't even seen Napoleon: Total War yet. |

| I'm new to this franchise, sort of. I started reading a Warhammer (not 40k, just plain ol' Warhammer) Omnibus to kind of get a feel of what this universe was all about. It seems pretty cool. |

The blessings of the Emperor of Man are truely upon us this day, my brothers. May be bless our weapons and guard the machine spirits of our Xboxes against that most cruel scourge of Chaos... the Red Ring. I can't wait to lay a proper smackdown on the accursed Greenskins, whether by Chainsword, Bolter, or Plasma, as the good fellows at Relic and xbox360ahievements.org have been so gracious as to bring us screenshots of. |

zomg they copied blizz...jk LOVE my 40k and absolutely cannot wait for this game, just wish it wasn't the ultramarines. Personally i play eldar so i'd like to see something based around them for a change but even playing marines there are far more interesting chapters imo. Just really don't get why they're so popular...they even had the first 40k movie about them... |

| This game really is shaping up to be asweosme. Just, like others, I wish I could play as a different chapter. Blood Angels? Grey Knights? Black Templars? But I guess the generic Ultramarines will do. |

I too would have liked a different chapter than the Ultramarines, as would a huge number of other players. The problem is that each player would likely opt for a different chapter altogether. Then they'd expect the game to respect the conventions, abilities, chosen weapons, and other particulars of what they chose. This way, by taking the chapter considered by many to be the most "vanilla", they can have abilities, weapons, behaviors, and scenarios that lend themselves more to the character you're playing. That would allow them to focus more on making everything as tight as possible for the experience they're offering here rather than delivering a watered down experience for whichever of a handful of chapters offered. And they can appeal more to more players unfamiliar with 40K this way. Of course, decent sales could lead to dlc campaign packs featuring different chapters on missions appropriate to . I'd happily shell out for some Space Wolves, Dark Angels, or more or less whatever they decide to go with. Deathwatch would be pretty cool too, especially in some kind of co-op. |

| So in the first pic he has the Umbra pattern botler on his back and in the second he's using it but what one does he have slung on his back in pic two and three? Is that a fallen marines botler and he picked it up to deliver back to the librarium or does he just like to be prepared? |

I guess it's official that Orks bleed red. Some of the books had made mention of a green "ichor"... And does anyone notice the veritable arsenal the Marine is carrying? A Plasma Gun, Bolter, Bolt Pistol, and Chainsword all at the same time?! 0.0 |

I'm more than pleasantly surprised to see all the Warhammer gamers coming to light here :) :) :) I used to LOVE playing 40k, I still have all my "Roughneck" Imperial Guard, squadrons of tanks and a couple of Baneblades :) Shame it was too time consuming to continue playing, but I'd love a turn based game for the Xbox involving less setting up and putting away! :D Not so sure about this game though, hope it does well, and I'd love to see Dawn of War on consoles too. That was great :) Can anyone recommend Blood Bowl too?!! The lack of teams turned me off... |
