This Week's Rock Band DLC - KISS, Faith No More and the B-52's

This Week's Rock Band DLC - KISS, Faith No More and the B-52's
Written Monday, February 04, 2008 by Alan Pettit

Here is what you can find on the marketplace for Rock Band this week, all for 160 MSP ($2.00) as usual.

  • "Roam" by the B-52's
  • "We Care A Lot" by Faith No More
  • "Calling Dr. Love" by Kiss
Well, that's a load of crap. Seriously, you think anyone wants to play a B-52's song? It's not even "Love Shack" for pete's sake. Maybe next week...

I agree Love shack would be better but it might be still fun to play - I'll wait till someone posts a note chart.

I'm not familiar with any of these, but ill preview em on iTunes later to see if ill go with a random purchase. I did that last week with Rush's "working man" and I freakin loved that song.

Dr. Love by Kiss sounds great! Get to hear Gene singing at least but I think Deuce would have been a better choice, oh well maybe someday. Keep up the great work Harmonix!

wow this blows, they could have at least did love shack instead. I might buy we care a lot, it sounded decent from itunes sample.

Duuuuuuuuuuude...

That B-52s tune might be my saving grace when it comes to getting the wifey to play. Love Shack wouldve been better though...

FNM = no brainer. That'll get downloaded immediately.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 06:25:29 PM

eh, dr. love is a bit cheesy for such a cool game as rock band...

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 06:31:39 PM

LOVE SHACK is a little ol' place where we can get together! But I digress...not good songs this week.

Ugh more horrible DLC. Is it March yet? I want my NIN pack.

the DLC for this game has been very disappointing.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 07:06:02 PM

Roam is one of their biggest, but I do want Rock Lobster. That one would be fun just to see people complaining about how long it is.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 07:07:02 PM

Faith No More's- we care alot is a awesome song! Gonna pick that up. Why the B'52's? That song is for old women or gays, neither which play rock band. Hell at least they are releasing songs every week, unlike GHIII.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 07:24:09 PM

When I saw B-52's I immediately hoped for Rock Lobster. Oh well, the other two songs are good.

I wish GH3 would get new songs regularly.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 07:55:19 PM

It's been officially announced by EA that rock band will not be coming to the UK until 2009. Best thing would be to import the game, but then you won't have access to download the extra songs.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 08:20:37 PM

Faith No More is one of my favorite bands, but they have so many more cool "hit" songs, and of course we get "Epic" & "We Care A Lot" - don't get me wrong - they're good songs, but "Last cup of Sorrow", "Digging the Grave" or "Caffiene", "Land Of Sunshine" - even "Midlife Crisis" would be better songs to introduce FNM to people who haven't heard them before. The band was a LOT more solid from Angel Dust onward.
Oh well. I'm sure it all has to do with securing licenses for the songs, and ultimately $$$$$$ - that's why we get more KISS.
There's a NIN pack coming? Hopefully it'll be decent.
Whatever happened to the full album DLC i heard about a while ago?

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 08:25:00 PM

More Pumpkins! More NIN! Hole! More I say =( not this crap. I hate Kiss. FNM is ok tho, but I still wouldn't DL it.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 08:28:19 PM

What we need is some AC/DC. Chances of that happening are very small. There is actually a NIN trio pack being released in March.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 08:47:15 PM

Ill ge the Kiss song but thats about it...I want some damn Pantera and Tool

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 08:54:16 PM

Yeah I heard the NIN pack drops in March with March of the Pigs, The Perfect Drug, and another song (the collector? I think). That is easily going to be the greatest DLC in my eyes. Cant freakin wait.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 09:05:08 PM

FNM - glad to see they are finaly doing something
B-52's - could do without
KISS - they are good but they have better song they could have released

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 09:25:40 PM

man when is rock band gonna get any cool songs to play? they really need to get on the ball with these downloads. hows about some psychobilly and more punk rock that's NOT the clash? the DLC so far sucks! start getting it right fellas! leave it to mtv to put out the gayest stuff, how long do i have to wait for good DLC?

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 09:43:25 PM

"We Care A Lot" is a great FNM song and that Kiss track is totally unexpected but very welcome. Seriously fun tune, considering we could've ended up with any of a cavalcade of overplayed hits. What's next, "Christine Sixteen"?

As usual, there's an odd man out this week - pretty bizarre choice in "Roam".

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 10:19:07 PM

Personally, I think I would have had to hurt them if they'd chosen "Love Shack" instead of "Roam". I'm not a huge fan of either song, but I can tolerate "Roam" and it will make my wife happy. "Love Shack" induces in me a desire to run people over in my car.

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 10:55:38 PM

there's probably a good reason 4 this but rock band (more then GH3)needs to get some Led Zeppelin. I mean who doesnt want to get the led out

Monday, February 04, 2008 @ 11:13:34 PM

I wish that they would come out with some songs from dragonforce. that would be amazing to play as 4 people. As for a post of mine from earlier. EA announced that rock band will be released in the UK in 2009.

I could have named songs that are ten times better than these, by all three bands. >_

Hell yeah to FNM. I'm soo glad they're finally getting more stuff by them up. I would love to see "Suprise! Your dead!", "Caffeine", "Naked in front of the computer", or "Got that feeling" show up one day though.

p.s.- if anything by the b-52's, why not rock lobster!!

Not looking like the best week they've had so far... I can think of better songs for all three artists that would be better suited for Rock Band...

I am all about some more Aerosmith, or Velvet Revolver, hell even in new times Three Days Grace would be fun. No more Metallica, those songs are freakin crazyyyyy on Expert

I just recieved my Xbox Live magaizine and they annouced a bunch of songs for download in March. Two bigs ones being Metallica - Feul and Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man. There is also going to be a 3 song pack by Nine Inch Nails, the Police, forogt the song but it's the one from GH2.

Tuesday, February 05, 2008 @ 08:22:45 PM

I love the songs they have coming in march, but I think, in my opinion, need more songs!!! I have a huge list of songs I would love for them to pursue, but I'm still happy that they put "All the Small Things", lol!

How the hell people complain about a DLC with KISS and Faith No More just because it has B-52's? Whatever, don't buy it or don't play it, at least you only pay 2 DOLLARS instead of about 10. (that's how much we'd pay here in Brazil)

Hmm.....I'll just be gettin the FNM song i think......I don't like kiss, and I've never heard of the B-52's,so no point in getting either of those....

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
