Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions 'Cosmic' DLC Out Today
Written Tuesday, October 26, 2010 By Richard Walker
View author's profile

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is getting a dose of downloadable content today with new costumes for each of Spider-Man's four guises across the Amazing, 2099, Noir and Ultimate Spider-Man universes.

That's four new Cosmic costumes - one for each universe - which also grant an all-new signature charge attack. The costume pack has yet to be priced, but keep an eye on the Xbox Live Marketplace as they're set to go live later today.

Here's hoping they're freebies, but don't hold your breath...

I think the game is brilliant, hopefully it will be free, after all its only 4 costumes which don't really add ANYTHING to the game

I'll be kind of bummed if these cost money but I'll still buy. I love this game, I wish the costumes were coming with new levels though.

These are just the Gamestop Preorder costumes I believe. Just letting everyone get them.

IMO the best Spidey game was Spiderman 2 as it gave you a plethora of acrobatic moves and was the first real Spidey Sandbox game and it held up well for an adaptation game. Web of Shadows was WAY too long and drug out. The final act was cool and the boss battles were pretty kickass but the overall deliveray was slow and lengthy. I'm hearing decent things about this in terms of it being one of the better Spiderman games especially for fans.

I liked the game a lot, but this is coming from someone that already had the complete run of Spider-man 2099 and Spider-man Noir comics....

Mainly b/c I'm a Spiderman fan above most other Marvel, I hate the Ultimate series in general. It's way too cartoony and, I don't want to say scaled back but I mean, it looks like a knockoff japanime series. Just my preference. I grew up collecting Amazing, Spectacular and Web of Spiderman. I'm very iffy on reinventions and reboots. Iron Man was one of the few to get many reboots that progressed well. Spiderman 3 game could've been good if they added more and better elements to the black suit and if they didn't take out Spider Sense (slo-mo) from the previous title.

this is my first Spiderman since Spider-Man 2 & Ultimate. And i'm loving it!! .. Is web of shadows still worth playing?

To bad that's it only costumes, Doesn't really add anything to it. I want more single player campaignes DLC !!

Because its Activision, I estimate a lousy 240 MSP.

This is the best spidey game since Ultimate on the Ps2. I never found the movie based ones all that and Web of shadows was fairly decent.

Wasnt this originally free Pre Order DLC from GameStop? My guess would be 160msp, 240msp at most... When I buy this game I will likely get this DLC even without Achievements. Cmon, its Cosmic Spidey! Cant wait to see how he looks in 2099!

Again proof that pre-ordering for bonus content isn't worth it because you can just buy the stuff later if you really want it.

@#5 - You mean because they don't add achievements?

The costumes have a bonus move that Spider-Man doesn't normally have, for each of the 4 universes.

Not saying we should be charged for it, but they do add SOMETHING.

@26: Exactly, it's not like these are purely cosmetic. You are actually getting a new exclusive charge attack with these costumes, so they are adding something to the game other than just how it looks.

I sure hope these won't be free, as that would be seriously screwing over the people (like myself) who already got these as a pre-order bonus. My guess is that it'll probably be like the Dead Rising 2 costume packs and it will most likely be 160-240 points. But in this case it's just for one DLC pack that's called the "Cosmic Spider-Man Character Pack" (that's what it's titled as for the pre-order bonus) and will include the Cosmic costumes for all the Spidey genres in one single pack (not sold individually).
