Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Online Co-Op Dated

Try not to be too cynical about this, but Lara developer Crystal Dynamics has finally put a date on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light's online co-op, which has been delayed for months and was originally supposed to be in the finished game, which came out on XBLA in August.

Posting on its Twitter, Crystal Dynamics snnounced that the long-gestating online co-op aspect is coming soon, and thst the game's first DLC pack will be give away free as a thank-you. "Great news! LCGoL 360 online co-op coming 27 Oct. DLC pack 1 will be free to say thanks for your patience. PS3/PC coming later, stay tuned."

So, you'll finally be able to unite Totec and Lara online with a friend, if you haven't already finished the game locally with someone. Still, getting the first DLC for free is not to be sniffed at. Every cloud and that...

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is available from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 Microsoft Points.

I held off on this game because there was no online co-op so my question now is, is this game worth the price even with online co-op and a free dlc?

This really is a lot of fun in co-op. Obviously I've only done local co-op so far, but still. If you have someone to play this with (local or online) then it's definitely worth getting.

NOW I'll finally buy the game since they FINALLY fixed it.

Sweet. Now it's worth the full asking price. Will definitely pick it up now.

This shouldn't be classified as DLC. This is just a patch that adds a feature that should have been part of the original launch game.

Nice! At first, I was not sure if I should buy such an incomplete game from incompetent developers. But the "Buy for 2400 Points and get 800 back" deal made me buy this game. Good to see that it will finally become complete.

Looks like the Co-Op aspect will be patched in and the DLC, which is separate, will be free. Well I don't have the game, but I'll 'purchase' the free DLC in case I decide to purchase the actual game in the future.

Also yes, looks like the article was rushed. Rich was probably wanting to get to playing Costume Quest!

This is definitly a Point to get the Game before 1. Nov..
This and another one, or maybe Bioshock 2-Addons next Week`s DotW, and i should have the 2400 Points to become 800 Points back.... This sounds great.. CoOp should be implemented in every Game!!! Now i gotte search fpr a Friend who hast this freaking game. =o)

This game is one of the best ARCADE games I have ever played, for real. Too bad that they are ruining it by all those delays. Free DLC makes up for it though, I suppose.
