x360a Review: Burnout Paradise

x360a Review: Burnout Paradise
Written Saturday, January 26, 2008 by Dan Webb

There aren't many racing games on the market that have the pace, adrenaline and crashes that Burnout has always delivered. Now with the new title hitting the shelves this week, the burning question is, does Burnout Paradise deliver? Does it live up the high standards that the series has set or is it on a head on collision course with failure? You'll have to read the review to find out.

Yeah I'm gonna have to agree with RandyGam3Freak. I'm still thinking about Burnout 3: Takedown And in IMO with Burnout: Revenge they screwed the wrecking, got the graphics right but screwed the crashing. With Burnout: Paradise they screwed it even more, Now you can't even wreck traffic at all, what's the point of that? It's just NFS now Randy's right.

"screwed the wrecking?" The crash system is amazing.

Nice review Baxter. I'm absolutely loving this game, my fave on 360 so far. I've been searching for the last 3 hours for: my last billboard, my last superjump and my last 2 smashes, and if it was any other game it would be frustrating looking for so long. This game looks good, it plays well, but looks like NFS.
Showtime sucks, offline racing is SO easy, and EA servers can be problematic(nothing new there!!!). The only good thing I can really say is thank God I only rented it.

Good job bax, the game is all that but i preferred the old crash junction thing rather than showtime, great fun though.

Clearly Martnic has never done more than a few races. The difficulty gets ramped up as you progress.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
