bfbc2 has the best in game xp system around. as far as getting xp. reward are great too. ranking up in bfbc2 wasnt a chore.

Well...not in a huge rush for Gears MP. Never liked it because it seemed Host advantage is huge bullshit in a game where you can't respawn, so TDM is a hugely warm welcome from me.
That being said, what probably impressed me most is how Cliff presented himself and his product. For some reason, it stood out in a way that said "I'm not pushing this on you, but we'd appreciate it if you checked out an awesome experience. We're putting as much time and effort into your investment as you'd hope we would for $60." Not used to that. It's usually "OUR GAME IS AWESOME FOR X REASON!"
Good to see Cliff can present himself as a real gamer as opposed to a developer who just makes games. Hope to see more of that from him and other interviews in the future. |

So we're going to watch this video starting Cliff Bleszinski right? And he's going to tell us all this cool stuff about Gears 3 right? And it'll be awesome right?

Sixteen times, right? Ah but enough about that. Interesting stuff in there. I like what he said towards the end about how if you're going to be some idiot journalist, they are't going to communicate with you. Sounds good to me. And I like how he talked about how his approach to the whole used thing is to just make people want to keep the game. Sometimes I wonder if other developers out there kind of forget that part sometimes. That calendar feature he mentioned a few times sounds really cool.
Man now I really want Gears 3. :( |

- Massive fan of gears, love the multiplayer,cannot wait too see more! -no i dont think he meant the campaign will be 6 hours. -
However i did notice he said in one of the modes (submission) - you have to capture the leaders of either side - locust queen which we've seen as playable. - and he then mentioned Chairman Prescott so I am assuming well get to see old man Prescott in a gears uniform now! - I cant wait to find out more,
- My one question is, if there is any mode or in multiplayer for three factions face off - Gears-Locust-Lambent ?? - would they do it ?
Cant wait to hear more.have really enjoyed checking back to find out more info last couple of days.
Just want to say thx to Xbox360 Team for all the hard work you guys put i. Made me very happy to hear some of the new elements that has gone into this game. Thx |

This has always been #1 on my buy list, Im a huge gears fan. Have been since I first got my 360 and picked up GoW for it on launch day. It was something new at the time, a working cover system that flowed well. Brutal very skill based multiplayer especially if you weren't host, you had to be better to kill host. Its just amazing to see, working (well from what I here) gameplay and game modes with as much polish as they look to have already a little over a year prior to launch. Thats fucking HUGE.
Unless Epic just ups and craps themselves and ruins the game in some unforseen way its going to be amazing.
And yes, spicy chicken is most definitely a mother fucker. |

| I'm glad to see a game developer admit to where a game was bad. Admitted that gears 2 online at launch was bad. I'm glad they delayed the game, because with this beta, gears 3 online should be the best online in the gears trilogy yet. |

| @9 host advantage was a bit much. but if you were actually good at the game and the host had a decent connection it really didn't make that much of a difference. plus there WERE games you could respawn in. Anything but execution and warzone pretty much had respawns in Gears 2. Just saying. |

| @9 - I agree completely, right? Great interview. Impressed with how humble Bleszinski is. He gave props out to a ton of other (deserving) games. He mentioned some of the mistakes that Epic has made, and that they are addressing them, which is all we as gamers can really ask of developers. Good stuff...cant wait for GoW3! |

@19 I highly doubt they would do a 3-team fight gametype. I could be wrong as it has been a while since I've gone through the campaign but arent Lambent just locust who were just exposed to extra immulsion radiation? Plus that would effectively double the amount of opponents you're facing, and in my opinion Gears multiplayer is hectic enough as it is.
As for the interview I thought it was very well done. Loved the new weapons and executions they added. I think the iron-sights for the hammerburst were pretty sweet. Definitely looking forward to the beta. |

| Yes, the executions are really great, but what i noticed now is that lacks a lot of blood, and that was actually one of the main reasons i liked gears. When i chainsawed a dude in gears 1,2 it was so much fun, the whole screen was a huge blood splatter, now it has been reduced by about 3 times (it only rains blood when you get a shotgun blast to the face now). Even though i'm sure, that the game will turn out great, one of the main resons i was playing gears will be nearly gone (at least for me). And before somebody asks: No i'm not some kind of psycho walking the streets with a knife in my pocket =) |

I dont think the extra damage and health boost is going to make that much of a difference.
@57 What would be the point of making several accounts just to get 10 kills each?
overall great interview. still wondering how the beta is going to work. a lot of people seem to think you'll have to buy bullet storm, which i planned on buying anyway. this game better feel less like 2 and more like 1. I played 2 for about a month when it came out. Heard about all the updates and went back to it the other night, its still as much garbage as it was on launch day. |

@34 Sorry, but the concept of Cryosleep has been around much longer than Halo. Cryogenic Preservation has been investigated in scientific circles since the early 1950's, and used in Science Fiction for decades.
But on topic, Cliff as ever seems to be very personable, and his attitude towards his own studios' failures as well as this game leaves me optimistic. A year couldn't go by fast enough, but I'll have plenty of games to keep me occupied. |

| I dont like the idea of them giving newcomers to the Gears universe "Beginners Assistance" since I have a feeling ppl will find a way to hack that feature and will give themselves an eternal boost to their shotties etc. and it will be like they are host even though gears 3 wont have host.Just have a feeling ppl will find a way to hack/mod that feature. |

| Everything in this sounds great except the advantage of those with no achievements. Don't ruin what is meant to be a great game by giving people unfair (un-skill-based) advantages. I'm just hoping that that isn't noticeable, noone wants another painkiller. |

| Totally agree with #4 I hope Gears 3 pulls this off. As much as i hated Gears 2, i can't help but notice i spent over 600 hours playing it, lol. I guess they did something right. But please, no more level 100 haha. |

I almost shat myself watching this! I've always been a huge Gears fan but seeing this interview really just put the extra "wow" factor in there. Ripping off an arm and beating someone to death with it, just wow! So many new executions. And I have to say the most intelligent and well worded interview I have ever seen, Cliffy is just an amazing human being and all game companies should have someone as intelligent and respecting as him. He wants the best for the people that buy his game and that barely ever happens in the gaming world.
Barely had a life with Gears 2, I'll probably lose all knowledge of the outside world with Gears 3! LOL |

| I cannot think of any other game developer/spokesperson that is as well spoken, yet down to earth as Cliff B is. Oh, and Gears 3 is going to be epic. No pun intendid. I am glad they listened to the players and are fixing the multiplayer aspect of the game. I'm with pretty much everyone else in saying that I don't really play GoW2 much anymore because of the Hosting system it uses. |

| What is the benefit of matchmaking? I don't understand why they don't make the online lobby like the original Gears. Let me choose the map and gametype I want to play. Also I'm close to a rank 80 in Gears 2 and I'm terrible. I definitely can't hang with the better players. So spawning a new player behind me could actually be a very bad for him. |

| New executions look deadly. Can t wait for beta and a level playing field. Sick of guys thinking they are good and it s just host. If i can get 50 kills hosting a match and 20 kills not hosting it's a big difference. I also like the idea of customizing gear and weapons. Looks good. |

| This game looks quite good i think.i wouldn't say that i'm a huge fan of the Gears games but i'm actually looking forward to this game. i think TDM is a great idea because in Gears 1 i found it a bit frustrating sometimes to die in the beginning of a round and then just keep waiting. but hey, that's just me. |
