Yesterday had a lot of speculation around Ninja Gaiden 2. First of all there were screenshots released, which were then withdrawn. Then a mysterious countdown appeared that everyone thought was for NG2, and then changed their mind.

After the dust has settled, it turns out the screenshots were definitely NG2, and so was the countdown. The game was officially announced just after midnight, and a trailer has also been released on the Marketplace.
