the game still goin be good no matter watMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:08 PM
Who even played the co-op campaign? Zombies was the only good Co-op mode in World At WarMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:08 PM
Awesome.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:08 PM
Shame. Co-op may have been the only thing to draw me in to this god awful repetitive series. Standard Military FPS' are becoming more redundant than a Hoth Battle in a Star Wars game. New IP's Developers. Something we HAVEN'T seen yet in bulk categories.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:09 PM
well at least it has splitscreen coop... Would of liked a coop campaign but I'll take what I can get...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:09 PM
Well for a supposedly huge title thats an epic fail, what big game doesnt have a co-op campaign. MW2 could have done with one. To many better games to bother with this i think, another reason why I may not get it. You could do split screen multiplayer on old COD's anyway.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:11 PM
Co-op Campaign was kinda lame anyway. It porbably wouldn't have worked with the story anyway.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:12 PM
"It's not all doom and gloom though, as the EP did state that there will be two player split-screen multiplayer this year for the first time in the franchise's history." I thought I did this in Call of Duty 2?I remember doing split screen multiplayer with friends in COD 2.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:12 PM
Actually I am a bit upset about it. I had assumed there would be Co-op, so my wife and I could play together. I generally only play split-screen co-op games.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:12 PM
If I had a Pre-order, it would be canceled now.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:13 PM
So this is old news! LOL months ago we were told no co-op campaign, but there would be a "special ops" type thing that could be one co-op or has that manifested itself into a perfect dark zero bot fight????Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:13 PM
THANK GOD!!!! finally a developer getting it right and continuing to prove why Call Of Duty is better than all the restMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:14 PM
So, online multiplayer splitscreen is limited to two players? It's good, but that's a shame. Me and my friends have a blast on splitscreen Halo 3 with the four of us.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:15 PM
Oh no this is a terrible disaster and I may cancel my pre-order! grow up its co-op cunt bags!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:15 PM
Aliens do exist!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:15 PM
*holy music* Me and my brother are going to love this... While the Co-op campain was an unfortunate removele, We've been waiting for Call of Duty to have Split-screen Multiplayer co-op since Call of Duty 3! Very excited... but I feel like the no co-op campain wasn't a needed sacrifice...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:16 PM
@ 13 - You can probably do multi-splitscreen on private but chances are it's standard dual split for MP.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:16 PM
This is old news.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:16 PM
I personally wanted co-op campaign. games are just more fun that way when you can play versatility with your friends.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:17 PM
I do like call of duty but i think the game is becoming repetitive. one game every year is making me crazy. i think ill wait til xmas for this or see if asda or tesco do another 26 pound deal.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:17 PM
Co-op campaign was retarded and nobody played it. This is awesome that you and a friend can both play online together against real people. Just like Halo.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:18 PM
World at War is still so much fun. This will probably be too.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:18 PM
@16 & 17 do you think your going to get xp/money for playing against bots locally! it's very doubtful....Even if you do, it's not going to be able to be used in public! And WAW has split screen privateMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:19 PM
@14 you are lucky. i got banned from this site for less than that. he is correct though, cod has become cheesier and smelly like pauls feet. i really wanted to play coop with my online friends because i dont have any real friends and i am too shit to play this on veteran on my own.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:19 PM
i wanted the co-op, glad i am not paying for my copy this year. with no co-op they wouldn't get my cash.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:22 PM
who plays co-op on COD anyway? split screen multiplayer sounds good....im definately getting thisMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:24 PM
@24 i couldnt agree more cod is a game where you have to be stratigic on veteran but with pauls feet around I might have to cancel my pre-order. oops silly me i havnt even pre-ordered. according to dingleberry.com the game will feature a game mode called termination where you have to kill as many innocent people as possible with a gun until you get to the next level abit like nazi zombies but only single player and this time they are terrorists!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:26 PM
as long as it's got zombies, i'm happy.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:26 PM
It is a step backwards the devs are getting lazy and just letting the brand sell the game rather then its feturesMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:27 PM
HALOOOO REACHHMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:29 PM
omg yes they took out a boreing coop moded and added something i would actually used the split screen mp that is epic hope they dont do the stupid background thing that lp2 and waw did where the two screens dont take up half the screen each.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:31 PM
not saying a coop story would be bad but the way they did it before was not a very fun mode i only played it once then never used it again.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:32 PM
Still considering what platform i want to get this on: pc, or 360...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:32 PM
ha ha @30 i agree, dead rising FTW. also fable and scat. personally i cant wait for cod, it is becoming very washed up now and unrealistic. also the young guns are ruining itMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:32 PM
You can't make the game too much fun, now can you? I hate it when they hold back on these things.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:32 PM
I'm not really fussed about the Campaign Co-op. The Zombies are coming back for Round 2 thankfully.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:35 PM
hey they did one thing right. now just remove multiplayer, single player, and zombies and you got yourself the best Call of Duty yet(the one that doesnt exist anymore)Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:37 PM
This series died with infinity ward. let it go with some dignity :/Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:38 PM
So it still has zombies right?Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:39 PM
@34 i think that flying pig mode will be good fun and cannot see the british gouvernment issuing a ban for constant use of flying pig however looking foward to the new commander mode which makes one person a boss and he can select what guns his team use should be good fun. Flying pig FTW also Earth defence force 2040 has been announced yay!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:42 PM
@ 23 - If I actually cared about XP in the grindy-whore sense then I'd get snippy with you. But regardless, I play MP games for fun or for friends. I pay to play and all I'm looking for is an enjoyable evening.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:43 PM
I'd like a co-op campaign but i think this game looks good fun.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:46 PM
DAMN IT ALL!!! If the camera for split screen is as bad as it was in WaW with that stupid black line thing going through the middle and cutting half the screen off is still there I am going to literally cry.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:49 PM
As far as im concerned co-op campaign was awesome and fun. THis is going to prevent my friends and I from buying this game. Brutal decision on their part. You know whats wrong these days, these companies think that they need to keep changing games and the way you play them in order for people to keep buying them. ITs these kids now with massive add, or adhd that always need something new to keep them entertained. Back in the day the sidescroller games were the best and thats all that came out, and it was fun and repetetive, thats classic. These guys are one day just going to run out of ideas.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:50 PM
Honestly this doesnt change my opinion of this game, the only thing i'm waiting to hear about is whether or not party chat will be allowed in this game because lets be honest I can't have been the only one who was peeved off that unless my friends had that game I was forced to not be able to talk to them depending on what game type I played.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:52 PM
@5, did you read the article? No, it won't have split-screen co-op.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:53 PM
That sucks but doesn't change anything. Still going to buy it.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:54 PM
How many people do you think are going to put their noses up at CoD because it has no co-op campaign, if you ask me, most games should just stick to SP and MP, like MW2.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 02:54 PM
Not that having it would have swayed me anyhow, I'm a strict "give 0 dollars to activision" boycott. No matter what they release it's "used or gtfo" for me. Bobby Kotick can die of gonorrhea and burn in hell.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:09 PM
Not bothered Im a Lone wolf!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:11 PM
If you don't mind me asking, what is the Premiership?Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:11 PM
@ 48 - Because there's a bunch of games that, while the gameplay failed, the idea of co-op'ing with a buddy is always an enjoyable feature. Fable 2, Army of Two, Halo, Gears, Crackdown, Transformers and so on. If done right, it's just as good as a single player campaign.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:11 PM
@49 Im with you on that however it is increasingly hard to do so with them monopolising major franchises although saying that they kill everything thats good anyway and make it mediocre after a few sequels.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:12 PM
That is awesome! Finally we get some split screen multiplayer. I can't believe this is the first COD to use it. About time. Now I can play some cod with my girlfriend.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:13 PM
CoD don't need Coop campaign imoMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:19 PM
btw peeps there isnt going to be an open beta for black ops, see the oxm report on dashboard LGMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:20 PM
prefer that in solo anyway...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:31 PM
still can't wait for it, although where the achievement list :(Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:34 PM
This game is going to be the same lame shit again no matter what.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:36 PM
OLOLOLOLOL- I shame all the ADHD kids saying it wasn't needed anyways...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:36 PM
the zombies maps are the same than cod waw????? any1 knows?Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:42 PM
Online multiplayer split screen >>>>>>> Co-Op split screen in a Call of Duty game IMO. Sounds good to me.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:44 PM
I don't mind this. I can't tell you how many times i've forgotten that CoD doesn't have any split screen online MP, only to be disappointed at a friend's place when we can't play it.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:47 PM
i really hope they dont have 3 dlc packs for 10 bucks each like WaW... this game is probably gonna be all hype, damn TreyarchMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:48 PM
Off topic the prem is not a one horse race you imbosile Almighty gunners (arsenal) are 2 points behind with just a draw from Liverpool holding them back. However split screen multiplayer sounds sooo awesome!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:52 PM
MW2 didn't have Co-Op campain either, only Spec-Ops, and so many of us bought it as well. Actually I was tired of my friends bitch how hard World at Wars Veteran mode was and quiting on me. So I just ended up doing it on my own anyway. So this isn't a deal breaker for me. The one or two times I may use it, Split screen online play will be nice. I just wonder if both players will need a gold account or if it will be similar to Halo where they have the same name as you but with a (2) after the name. I guess we will have to wait and see. 7 more hours and we will have it in our hands!!!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:53 PM
Maaan.. was hoping there would be some special op-missions like MW2, but whatever. Going to buy that still..Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:53 PM
Disappointing. Co-op adds replay value. They are probably pressed for time and are just trying to hit the release date. Still seems like a step backwards.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 03:55 PM
we already knew there was going to be no co-op campaign many many months ago... They're making an entirely different mode/campaign specifically for co-op.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:02 PM
still going to buy it.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:07 PM
Okay, still goign to buy it, but I'm also quite pissed now.... -_- @69, this is pretty much saying there is not going to be a specific co-op mode, man.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:17 PM
It was boring anyways, it did have challenges though.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:26 PM
im used to grindin out the missions bymyself so no big dealMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:28 PM
I havent made my mind up I'm afraidMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:29 PM
ahhh sorry webb i have your pen still from when you let me borrow it.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:33 PM
That's cool. Just keep ignoring your fan base morons.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:33 PM
Who gives a shit? It's still gonna have Zombies, AND splitscreen multiplayer! Awesome! XDMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:38 PM
God I'm sick of COD now -__-Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:39 PM
The multiplayer HUG looks cheap as hell, split screen, now theres no campaign I think I'll borrow this...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:46 PM
ive been waiting for a call of duty that actually has split screen with bots! it will be great, dont have to sit and play search and destroy taking turns when mates come round anymore this will be great!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:52 PM
Am I the only person that doesnt care about splitscreen online?? I'd rather have spiltscreen campaign TBHMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:53 PM
I wasn't even going to bother with the campaign anyway. Might end up buying this now that you can take a guest with you for online MP.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 04:57 PM
Sad about those news but hey its call of duty...split screen is all you need reallyMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 05:14 PM
@#2----That is why Treyarch sucks. They piggyback off IW's ideas and multiplayer aspects and the only thing they had going for them was a Zombie Mode that didnt even come close to being as fun as L4D and L4D2.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 05:20 PM
Haven't really played co op campaign anyway. More excited about single player and zombie game mode. That's all I rly needed to buy this game^^Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 05:22 PM
Lolz not a major loss, silly webby of course aliens exist :PMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 05:54 PM
Im liking itMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 06:21 PM
lol @48. Its a shame, was going to buy but the lack of co-opidge has made me think twice, probably a rent.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 06:50 PM
Hopefully Veteran will be COD 2/ WAW style in its difficulty, none of this MW2 easy nonsense!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 06:58 PM
its a bit of a disappointment for me, i didnt play co-op a lot in w@w but this summer my friends and i played it to remember the old times. o well i guess their huge focus on commie zombies or whatever will make up for it.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 07:10 PM
@1 lol no its not :)Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 07:11 PM
@#4. You expect way too much.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 07:36 PM
Shame, they should lose focus on singleplayer because some people hate playing this online (I myself am one of them). I bought them all, but I'm doubting I'll buy it this year. World At War was the last decent game in my eyes. Modern Warfare 2 wasn't half bad, but focussed mainly on multiplayer, wich in my eyes is a bad thing.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 07:41 PM
Lolled hard at #37 That was rather funny!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 07:49 PM
Well this really sucks I was hoping to enjoy some co-op campaign with friends who are buying this. No big deal, the bots and CoD points are what drew me into buying this. Hopefully they announce zombies or whatever that mysterious co-op mode is!Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 08:04 PM
I'd rather crush my balls in a vice than play another Call of Duty game.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 08:17 PM
What a bummer :/Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 08:20 PM
Didn't keep people from MW2.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 08:25 PM
No zombie mode = not interested.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 08:30 PM
As long as it is real split screen, not just two small screens with useless pictures of crap surrounding it.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 08:33 PM
A bit disappointed that Black Ops won't have a co-op campaign, but it's still going to be a good game.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 09:17 PM
kinda liked COD3 bc of the 4 ppl a console system link play. now its only 1 person a console system link :( but idc about co-op campiagn. so ill still get itMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 09:37 PM
not getting this because it looks like MW2. I need something new plzMonday, September 13, 2010 @ 09:50 PM
i only played it in WaW to get the achievements anyway.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 10:30 PM
Nice!!! Split-screen with bots!!! That is actually one of the best features a game could have, yet hardly any do. I used to have a decent game called Medal of Honor: Rising Sun on the ps2. The campaign and gameplay was pretty mediocre, but the reason why I logged hundreds of hours into it was because it featured split-screen with the ability to play against bots! Glad to see a newer game implement this feature! Oh wait, split-screen multiplayer!!! This is why halo 3 is still and always will be fun. Good lord, this will be one of the best call of duty games to date. Just don't add game breaking perks like commando, one man army, and danger close Treyarch!!! I have high hopes for this game after MW2 bombed with its horribly unbalanced multiplayer with broken perks, overpowered kill streaks, and overpowered weapons.Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 10:41 PM
The spec-ops for MW2 was awesome. I assumed they would have SOMETHING to match it. I'll still get it, but maybe not on day one now...Monday, September 13, 2010 @ 10:43 PM
the only thing that keeps WaW going is Zombies lol and if theres no zombies in Black ops ima b sadTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 01:10 AM
heck anything would be better than this gay Modern Warfare 2Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 01:22 AM
what a load of shit at least bring back zombies which is easily the best part of waw and it crushes all other codsTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 01:25 AM
what a load of shit at least bring back zombies which is easily the best part of waw and it crushes all other codsTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 01:27 AM
wait, so does that mean that we can go online with guests? on cod? or is it only for the combat training mode?Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 01:29 AM
Epic Fail def a no buy now.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 01:53 AM
Hm, Epic Fail indeed. I personally really enjoy playing co-op with friends (not a big multiplayer fan really). MW2's Spec Ops were pretty cool, too bad they didn't come out with some DLC for it. O well.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 02:46 AM
Idk I think co op campaign would hav been way better then co op multiplayer I don't something about having a small screen just annoys meTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 03:35 AM
As long as theres zombies and search and destroy, day 1 buy .Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 04:41 AM
Coop campaign wasn't worth the effort anyway. I like this idea of split screen multiplayer, however. That might actually be used.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 05:05 AM
Condsidering that I have little interest in multiplayer, yes this may affect my decision to buy the game (at least at a higher price). Although this may actually encourage me to try multiplayer as I can now play it splitscreen with my friend.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 06:19 AM
No one played it. Most times Vet and Hardened had 0-20 players. I really don't see the issue there are so many features if playing a single random level over live with no gain is your biggest concern don't buy it simple. Less people in the bitching thread.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 06:25 AM
Be interesting to see how many of these I'm not buying it now children will have it on there played list on Nov 9th. I'd hazard a guess it'll be all of the little attention seakers. Nearly eveyone buys these games now to play competitive co-op, not a watered down version of the one player campaign, which is all the co-op campaign was in WaW. Before anyway says i aint flamin cos WaW is by far my favorite CoD. Peace.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 06:41 AM
COD3. Treyarch made this and it had splitscreen mp. I smell someone talking bullshit!!!Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 07:05 AM
i thought maybe a good buy for 30$ now it just fucked everything up.....Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 08:35 AM
@ 121 YOU CAN SMELL SOMEONE TALKING BULLSHIT I WISH I HAD SMELLING POWERS LIKE YOUTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 08:53 AM
2 Player Splitscreen = BUYTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 08:55 AM
Split screen MP! YES! The only game that had that was Halo 3 (and Halo Reach?) My wife will be psyched when I tell her this! We both have a Live account on 1 console so no more timesharing COD'ing. Hopefully the game will be good. :)Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 09:12 AM
co op campaign was shit anyways. Splitscreen is huge. Has anyone noticed of Halo Reach took perks, now Black Ops is taking theatre and splitscreen?Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 09:33 AM
#54 wow buddy, trust me you don't have a girlfriend, enuff saidTuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 10:00 AM
The idea of a co-op campaign was good..But the veteran achievements didn't count for co-op. Shame.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 04:28 PM
@127, Like you have any insight into that statement! I have a girlfriend, we usually play Guitar Hero together but she often likes a bit of CoD or BfBc2. The Splitscreen online multiplayer is great, I'm surprised Halo didn't inspire more companies to do it!Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 05:04 PM
Well it is now just a renter. No need to buy for most likely a short campaign and the same old Multiplayer.Tuesday, September 14, 2010 @ 07:55 PM
Very true. The next halo will have the M16 and the next call of duty will have the energy sword.Wednesday, September 15, 2010 @ 05:35 AM
As long as there is some form of zombies all is well, if not then treyarch is a complete fail. Oh yeah fuck activision, bastards.Wednesday, September 15, 2010 @ 02:56 PM
i really liked co-op campaign but i agree at least there is zombies in it.Wednesday, September 15, 2010 @ 03:05 PM
Zombies are always cool but this does not change my mind at all. I was gonna rent this from gamefly and I still am. Im personally more excited for Homefront : )Wednesday, September 15, 2010 @ 04:54 PM
I hated WaW, so I didnt bother with the Co-op campaigns. No big loss for me. I'm buying this game for the campaign though. If I want multiplayer, I have MW2.Saturday, September 18, 2010 @ 08:10 PM
FAIL. i dont point in buying this for over 40 quid. ill get it when its like 20. anyway, cod designers just aren't on the same level as some other designers (why cant they be more like bungie) and cod games now are just spam. halo reach has more to offer than cod games ever had.Saturday, September 18, 2010 @ 08:12 PM
now that halo has been bought by activision, I hope that it doesnt fail and release a game every month.Monday, September 20, 2010 @ 11:50 AM
Campaign co-op was lame and for homos. "BooHoo...I can't complete the hornets nest on my own... Steve, can you help me? i know you dont have a life either."Wednesday, September 22, 2010 @ 09:29 AM
Co-op campaign was pointless anyway, there weren't any achievements for it and Veteran on any Call of Duty game really isn't that hard if you know what you're doingWednesday, September 22, 2010 @ 05:42 PM
campaign co-op in cod series never made any sense. only zombies in waw! already pre-ordered!Wednesday, September 22, 2010 @ 07:17 PM
in combat training i wanna have me against the 11 other bots on the highest difficulty(whatever that might be). GOING TO BE EPIC!!!!Friday, September 24, 2010 @ 09:07 PM
Omg that is one of the big draw backs is not being able to play online with someone else like halo ! this is def. a first day but for me :)Saturday, September 25, 2010 @ 08:55 PM
Not too fussed about lack of co-op campaign, as long as it's typical Call of Duty, I'm getting this as soon as it comes out.Monday, September 27, 2010 @ 07:18 AM
Ahhh damnnn oh well, still looking forward to another great game by Treyarch, Black Ops (: but I wont be fussing over getting it on its launch either :3Monday, September 27, 2010 @ 03:28 PM
Damn! treyarch! that was the one thing you had over IWs games.. and zombies. O well, i still buy it.Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 11:59 PM
Co-op campaign was no good anyway zombies is the only co-op game mode that's worthwhile I'll be spending most my time online anyway.Wednesday, September 29, 2010 @ 07:47 AM
immortal leoman im almost positive that there was split screen in cod 2 maybe there just high and forgot about that one. i played cod 2 like maybe 8 months ago and i remember split screen. or maybe they mean first time for these makers idkWednesday, September 29, 2010 @ 02:37 PM

For many, one of Call of Duty: World at War's biggest draws was its online co-op campaign - aside from the zombies of course.
In what many may see as a backwards move and totally against the mantra of "sequels should be more of the same, but better," it appears that Call of Duty: Black Ops will not feature a co-operative campaign.
Speaking with GamertagRadio, Treyarch's Executive Producer on Black Ops, Dan Suarez, told the site that the co-operative campaign wouldn't be making a comeback this year.
"There’s no campaign co-op this year," said the EP, who's obviously a man of few words.
It's not all doom and gloom though, as the EP did state that there will be two player split-screen multiplayer this year for the first time in the franchise's history.
"Yes, you can play split-screen on the combat training mode and on MP (multiplayer)," said the talkative Suarez.
The combat training mode incidentally is you - and a friend if you like - against bots and is there for players to get a feel for the muliplayer side of things.
Is this likely to affect your purchase? Was the removal of the co-op campaign a deal-breaker? Does the split-screen multiplayer even that out? Are there such things as aliens? Why is the Premiership such a one horse race this year? Where did I put that pen again?
So many questions and only you can answer them... well, apart from the last one. I'll have to discover the answer to that on my own.
