Oh snapsWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:12 AM
Shag that aliens brains out lol! (well i would)Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:13 AM
liara is sooo hotWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:13 AM
This better be a long DLC.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:16 AM
@4, tell me about it. All ME DLCs have been under 2 3 hours. It's a shame!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:20 AM
Hoping that since Liara is getting this 'deeper interaction' then Ash/Kaiden will get similar treatment in future DLC's. That said, can't wait for this to be released. Bioware also said that there is going to be something 'cool' in this as well, not letting on if it's a gameplay feature or equipment etc..Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:21 AM
Lol this is awesome. I can't wait to play it, though i don't know how she'll react if she knew me and jack hit it and then jack died :( haha anyway, this'll be great.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:34 AM
@7 I didn't think they were doing the DLC bridging 2 and 3 yet. If this is the start of it, I wonder if they're going to mandate that you've defeated the collectors before you can play it. ...and actually, regardless of the above, I question if you have to finish both parts of Liara's questline already in ME2 before you can begin...Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:37 AM
I hope it is decently long.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:41 AM
@8 I don't think that's been answered properly yet by Bioware (unless I've missed something) But you don't have to have defeated the collectors in order to have make a bridge from Mass 2 to Mass 3. What happens with the Shadow Broker could have specific ramification in Mass 3. Mind you, I would guess that, at the very least, you'd have to do the two mini missions for Liara first since they're all about hunting for the Shadow Broker. It wouldn't play out right if you could do it straight from the get go unless the Shadow Broker escapes at the end of the DLC.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:41 AM
I didn't like Liara that much I would have liked Ashley or Kaiden instead.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:41 AM
I'm just looking forward to new guns and that. The fact that it's 800 points hopefully means that it's nice, long, and replayable. I wonder what that "coolest feature we've added" is going to be? .... Probably like that lame ass apartment from Pinnacle Station lolWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:55 AM
@12 They haven't teased any new weapons or armour for this DLC, in fact they brought out three new weapons a few weeks back so I tend to doubt we'll see any more, at least in this DLC. They did say though that this new DLC will add the Shadow Broker intel center and new research.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:56 AM
#6 Good point - I really missed not being able to bang Ash again in Mass Effect 2 so i went on a bit of slut spree and nailed Miranda and Jack and i also had a run at Samara and Kasumi but don't think that's possible.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:07 AM
screw liara miranda ftwWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:12 AM
So have Bioware pretty much given up on the free DLC for the Cerberus network? I'm not really complaining, becuase I got it free with the game, but others who paid 1200 points are probably disappointed.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:12 AM
@4, That's what she said.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:29 AM
I'm not getting back together with her! I got my Tali :)Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:30 AM
@17, She said she wants a longer DLC? You know some strange women.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:33 AM
@17, she isn't alone.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:36 AM
BioWare: "Mass Effect 2’s Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC to Feature "Deeper Character Interaction" I think all of us got about as "deeply interactive" with Liara as possible in the first game. ZING!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 08:36 AM
i could always go for a litte alien side b..b.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 09:42 AM
NICE!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 09:54 AM
@21 took the words out of my mouth.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 10:05 AM
Hopefully this will be a very long DLC. I hope there is a upcoming DLC that features an Alliance mission with Ashley/Kaiden, then another with Captain Anderson, Udina & the Council regarding a conspiracy. Followed by one where we find a cure for Thane. Sadly, I don't think there can be one with Wrex given what can happen to him during Mass Effect 1. :(Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 10:29 AM
Interesting. Will be checking this eventually.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 10:42 AM
Really curious about the unfinished missions getting an ending...hoping we get to hunt down the batarian terrorist from Bring Down the Sky. Also, yay for possibly getting back my yuri romance with Liara!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 11:01 AM
I want her and Miranda (my romance partner) to get in a fight over Shepard... Would be cooler to see Liara vs Jack though...Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 11:05 AM
@27 I dont think they could make an add on to bring down the sky because you had the chance to kill the batarian. I know I did. But in doing so I let that chick and her pals blow up. With all these arching story lines they have to be watch what they add on to.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 11:13 AM
@29 It could be possible though, just like the game recognises from your save who you helped/avoided/killed. I.E. Helena Blake in Afterlife, and it does mention on Galactic News about the state of Terra Nova occasionally. And as I saved them, I would like the chance to splatter his batarian brains up a wall! Would also be interesting to see what happened to Fist if you let him live.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 11:26 AM
That was horribly written, I'm glad you understood it. But you're right they could do it. And I am certainly not opposed to more mass effect dlc but how would they go about those situations. I dont want to pay for a mission that shouldnt exist in my version of the game. Do you know what I mean?Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 11:59 AM
Trailer's up: http://masseffect.bioware.com/media/video/434/ Vehicle driving??!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 12:14 PM
Could "Deeper Character Interaction" finally mean penetration?Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 12:36 PM
I've wondered who shadow broker is since I first heard this name in ME. I do hope they will at least reveail his/her identity, even if as a ground for one of ME3 sub-plots! Plus nailing Liara again will be like icing on top of sweetes candy. So can not wait. Always thought she was the hottest of the crew^^Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 12:48 PM
The trailer is """"ing AWESOME! My alarm clock will be set for 4:45am Tuesday morning.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 12:53 PM
Did anyone else play through this game four times or more? I love it.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 01:37 PM
Man, I'd love an Ash/Kaiden DLC. I don't think we had enough with them. I know they'll be back (well, one of them) in ME3, but I'd like a bit more of Ashley.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 01:43 PM
Deeper interaction.. hmm could that mean Anal ?Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 01:50 PM
lol at 33 and 38, go watch some real porn instead of posting those hereWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:07 PM
Is DLC even going to be considered canon in the ME story arc? Did ME1's DLC have any carry-overs into ME2? I HIGHLY doubt there's gonna be major plot twists involving Liara if data from the DLC doesn't carry over to ME3. BIOWARE! PLEASE! Look to Valve for DLC inspiration! Stop giving us single sets of side-missions and just give us a bunch of new galaxies to explore or something. If you bought all the DLC for ME2 from launch to date, it would practically be paying a subscription fee for the game...and a single player game at that.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:08 PM
Sorry Liara but you been out done by Tali.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:09 PM
any word on how many achievements will be tied in with this dlc? Achievement points?Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:26 PM
#30 If you let Fist live from ME1, he'll be at Omega, in front of the Patriarc room, talking with some girls, and he'll have just some lines to say to you. The trailer is f..... awesome, that "something cool" must be those vehicle driving missions.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:35 PM
Interact Deeper - 15G That's it for the achievements for this dlc expansion! Stay tuned for another 10 dollar dlc!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:50 PM
I've heard, don't remember where, this DLC will have 5 achievements, don't know the amount of gamescore they will worth though.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:51 PM
IMO even though Bioware is a great developer, they are extremely stingy on the chievos and gameplay length given the price they charge for the DLC. They need to be a little less greedy IMO.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:53 PM
nah screw her i have Tali looking forward to this dlc thoWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:54 PM
Sorry for double post but they also need to put more right outta the box, Bioware games have more DLC than any other developer. It's actually starting to turn me off to them.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 02:59 PM
I wonder if by deeper character interaction, they mean the whole sex mini games that Fox rambled on about nonsensically, lol. No seriously, I wonder if players who didn't romance her in ME1 could romance her after the completion of this DLC. I think it would be kinda cool.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 03:07 PM
@#3 you are messed upWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 03:14 PM
Is it wrong that I feel attracted to Liara and Harley Quinn ?Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 03:18 PM
she's gonna give me the silent treatment when she finds out i cheats on her with all of the female crew. her photo was turned down in my room. :-(Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 04:00 PM
@48 Bioware don't revolve their games around achievements. Frankly, I suspect that the achievements for their DLC so far have been a low score because they were easy. Gameplay length seemed decent for the DLC loyalty missions, pretty much the same when compared to other loyalty missions. Overlord was better and hopefully this will build on that. As for more out of the box, the game is on two discs as it is and they always planned to make bridging DLC content. I've never heard of extended support for a game be a bad thing.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 04:22 PM
I can't wait for this. The trailer looked awesome. OvOWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 05:07 PM
Finally some dlc worth buyingWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 05:23 PM
bow chika wow wow one more woman for Commander Shepard's personal harem lolWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 06:37 PM
I wonder there will be any consequences or a reaction from Liara when she finds out if the character you use had a relationship with Liara in ME1 & cheated on her in ME2. as #16 pointed out, has Bioware given up on the Cerberus Network, because its been pretty useless outside of the Firewalker, Normandy Crash Site & Zaeed's loyalty mission.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:25 PM
I FUCKING MISS ASHLEY WILLIAMS DAMNIT.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:33 PM
It'll be good to have my love interest back, and to kick the Shadow Broker's ass!!!!!Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 07:44 PM
@32, After watching that trailer, i can't wait to play it, on my Birthday too :pWednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 09:23 PM
Yeah, #58, you tell 'em!!! She was my boo in the first game and I felt so cheated in 2 when she shut me down! Happy early birthday, #60! Anyway, is it too much to ask for a full-on expansion a 'la Dragon Age: Origins - Awakenings, but for Mass Effect 2?Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 09:48 PM
I get a feeling from the trailer that it'll be possible for Liara to die in the DLC, personally I think that would be an interesting idea, but I wouldn't like to see it 'cause Liara is awesome.Wednesday, September 01, 2010 @ 10:57 PM
hope this is goodThursday, September 02, 2010 @ 02:53 AM
shit man my birthday is on september 7th and we got both mass effect 2 and dragon age DLC on that date as well as new info from bioware on that day jackpot.Thursday, September 02, 2010 @ 04:02 AM
Liara will probably not have a possibility of dying as I'm pretty sure the developers want all three potential love interests from Mass 1 to be in Mass 3. Also Mass 3 is where they wanted the consequences of possible cheating (you cad!) to play out, so I doubt that she'll have any reaction to 'playing away' actions in this DLC. The Cerberus network serves it's purpose which was pretty much for EA to get some cash from people who buy used versions. They could argue that the 'free' content available on it (you can purchase paid content via the network as well, so it's not entirely useless) is worth the 1200 point cost of access. @61, I don't think it's too much.. may be a little too early though. I guess it depends how long they're going to take to develop Mass 3.Friday, September 03, 2010 @ 03:56 AM
man can't wait for this i get 5 new achievements , laira is on my team again and more then likely i'll get new guns. so then there was one, i'm saying this cause there is only one more space left for ur team meaning the next dlc character is probably gonna be ashley/kaiden, just go to biowares site and look at the charaters slots after the dlc comes out it makes since.

So what can we really expect?
“Probably like deeper character interaction, that’s one of the things we got back from the fans,” said Zeschuk. “Particularly because she was one of the popular characters in the game and in Mass 2, she was a bit more of a bit player.”
“In fact, if you remember, she was a bit more standoffish, she was kind of mad at you and so this is maybe an opportunity for that reconciliation; spending more time with her and kind of getting back together in some manner of relationship.”
“It was one of the top requests I think from fans,” chimed in Muzyka, “And we also said – this is a clue – that in some cases, you may be wondering what some of the arcs, story elements, that were maybe not finished fully in Mass Effect 1, or in Mass Effect 2 for that matter; is there a possibility that maybe some of those things could be brought to a satisfying conclusion in Mass Effect 3, with and when we announce that product, well, that’s a possibility.”
Who is the Shadow Broker? Can Liara get revenge? Mass Effect 2’s Lair of the Shadow Broker looks set to answer some of those questions and more on September 7th and is all yours for 800 Microsoft Points. Chances are it’ll also pose plenty of new questions as well.
